Just used your video to make some and let me tell you… you just gave me chills and brought my grandma’s cooking back into my life may she Rest In Peace😇❤️ Tastes just like her food!!! And you know it’s hard to find this type of food you can’t get it from any type of African have to make it yourself! Very thankful for this video thank you so much ! 🥲❤️🥰🥰

Thanks for stopping by and watching. I appreciate you so much. In my area it's the same way, no African restaurant around here makes it. Making it yourself is always better. May Grandma soul rest in perfect peace.

I love this! And No peanut butter!!! You made this the way my mom used to make it may her soul rest in peace and I'm teaching my daughter this Thanksgiving this very way too! I kept seeing peanut butter in people soup and I was just so confused. Not saying it's wrong it's just not the way I grew up eating or seeing ANY LIBERIAN cooking cassava leaf. The peanut butter they say makes the greens softer but the way greens are processed now how much soft do you need it? Plus that making greens soft we used a cooking soda for that back in the day, not peanut butter. So I don't know, maybe it's the millennium greens, but I love the old school style like this! We already using peanut butter for it's own soup, then benne-seed for peppe soup, now cassava leaf? We need a break from peanut butter 😂. Missing my mommie this Thanksgiving. Elizabeth Itoka-Morris. 🎶🎵Sweet mother, I'll never forget you. 🎵🎶

Thanks for watching. I have never seen peanut butter in Liberian cassava leaf growing up. Even now when I visit none of my friends do that. I think it’s something new some people have now picked up from different countries and TH-cam and calling it Liberian cassava leafs. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃

@@normagibsontv9797 not only do my Liberian family members do this, but other videos on this site show peanut butter being one of the ingredients maybe YOU don’t use peanut butter but in Liberia peanut butter is one of the ingredients

Cassava leaf is not always made with peanut butter and most liberians do not use it. There are different variations that can be made fever leaf or bitter balls.
