- How to install a Tesla sized screen on a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2.
If you are not afraid of wiring, you'll do fine with this install. It took about an hour and a half
Nicely done... Anyone following your directions should be able to get it done. And your advice about taking your time and doing it right was the best advice for anyone

Does this void manufacturer warranty? It's like 3 steps and is plug and play. But I've got 26 miles on my current Colorado and I don't wanna mess anything up with the manufacturer.

Hi, great video. Did your Rear View Camera automatically come on when you put the truck in reverse? Is there a camera cable for that?
Yup. It was all plug and play
Most States have Traffic Laws that cover Drivers watching Movies, Music Videos, etc... while moving. Is there a Warning Document with this equipment that covers Distracted Driving? Does this work with OnStar and Navigation from the factory? I am curious about these subjects, before purchasing one of these. Thank you.

Looks awesome. One question I have is all of the 'add-ons' at time of checkout such as backup camera, bluetooth, etc. etc. If these were all stock on my GMC Canyon to begin with, do I need to purchase the add-ons to retain the factory settings?
You might want to ask those questions to the company that sells them. But I only purchased the unit and all of my add-ons for my truck work

I own the 2020 Chevy Colorado ZR2. I'm having trouble finding a receiver like this one to fit my vehicle. Do you know if this would fit the 2020?

Very impressive unit and relatively simple install (Love the use of Improvised tools). How well does the tablet show up during bright daylight. More importantly is there a night mode?
The brightness is actually great during the day. Yes there is a night mode. and you can, very easily, preset the brightness for day mode and night mode.

The truck is still running great! I hit a trail every weekend or so. It's about to hit 60,000 miles and still strong. Will i lose Apple CarPlay if I installed this android tablet? The OEM has all the features i wanted, but it lack of power and sound quality. I’m a audio enthusiast and love to upgrade my sound system. Will this tablet equip with sound adjustments like a crossover sq, rca for subwoofer output and etcs
in a lot of modern cars you might find it hard to upgrade to top of the line audio quality, Unless the aftermarket guys like Alpine can also give control of all the vehicle systems.
How do I get TH-cam or Netflix sound to work through the app?
Plug an AUX cord into the regular AUX port. Nothing needs to be plugged into the other end. It just tricks the system to play sound as if it was auxiliary.

I still like it. I have since returned it to the company to either get fixed or have them send me a brand new one out. I'm just waiting for it to come back
@@readyrig4x4 Why did you have to send it back? And do you have to buy the GPS receiver separately or does it come with the original unit.
@@sean-rady I sent it back because a couple things weren't working on it properly. Like the multi-window tab in the top right corner. It came with its own GPS setup
@@readyrig4x4 Thanks man. The unit I'm looking at (that's compatible) is the Px6 Six- Core. 12.1 inch. Is that the one you have? Is the 6 core now considered "outdated"?

@@readyrig4x4 truck is still in the body shop so I didn't really mess with it alot. Just went and installed it while they were working on other stuff. Left my GPS inside the unit at the top. Didn't install my microphone or the yellow plugs for other cameras.

Hey Ryan, my screen is enroute from China. How do you like the unit? Is it worth it? Can't wait to get mine.
There are a few things I really like in a few things that I don't.
What are the things that you don't like?
@@stfuz some functions don't work, like my backup camera. And other functions just stopped working like my multi-window. If definitely buggy and slow at times but everything else pretty much makes up for it

No idea. I don't run a radio install shop. You might want to just call around and find out for yourself. Or possibly just do a Google search. Might take 5 minutes of your time... but the answer is out there. I know you can do it. Good luck👍

Can you share whether you ever got it to fully work? From above comments you had to troubleshoot, send the unit back, and reinstall after backup camera and multi-screen functions stopped working?

How are you liking the upgrade? Is it worth it ?
I'm still on the fence on if it's worth what you pay for.. when people jump in the truck for the first time there is a definite wow factor.. but the performance of the computer is slow. And I still haven't gotten any word from the company on fixing the shifted screen. So, I like it (kinda). Is it worth it? Probably not.
Mine didn’t have factory nav so I bought the plug n play unit from infotainment.com and I like it. Thanks for your honest response 👍👍

Shit like this is why trucks cost so much. People always want bigger, better, more. 2025 models will come with escalators that extend down from the tailgate when lowered. The windshield will be the infotainment screen because fuck paying attention to the road. Don't forget push button start or the panty folding, steaming and starching glove box. Smh. Looks nice for status I guess.smh
