@@noeeortiz9073 Synchrony has a pretty well documented history of closing down accounts suddenly, even when they are in good standing. It happened to me and many, many others. There have been occasions where people would go to use there cards, and would find out then and there, the accounts were closed. They also have a history of slashing credit limits, even when being used.
Read terms. From what I have experienced w synchrony is if you do not pay off balance by end of 0% term they will add all the back interest all at once. This wouldn’t want to deal w that surprise after been making payments for a year.
I think I'm good with the cards I have. I have so many mediocre ones trying to go up from the crappy ones after a bankruptcy to now I use my AMEX investor, Schwab platinum, & BCP cards.
Yeah the Amex thing is slightly surprising. I've only just now got a fico score and the top third of my card recommendations are all Amex, but not all have a yearly fee. There's like one secured card, a couple no annual fee cards, a lot of annual fee cards. And then a bunch of pre-approvals from credit one ☠️
yea, this guy gives a lot of info that isnt correct, most youtubers in this sector are like that, he may have a few correct idea of how things work, but a lot of the important points he tries to make or says are not correct or half true or are misleading, he prob doesnt even know or realize that so i dont think he says incorrect things as if they where factual, a lot of these youtubers just read or watch others info or videos and basically just say the same shit thats wrong or is bad advice, but thats like 98 percent of youtubers in this sector, its almost as bad as the crypto experts on youtube
You mentioned “pre qualify” does that mean you’re able to be approved? I seen BOA does it and they had an endless list of recommendations but i don’t they all would’ve approved me if i applied
I’d be surprised if ANY apple card was issued with less than that limit. 1600 is the price for their flagship 1TB 16 pro max. Apple leads in market share for phones and so many of them are (foolishly imo) financed. They wanted a piece of that and saw one more way to get people in the ecosystem. Wise moves in my opinion.
I've gotten approved for 1 card per month for the last 3 months. The last 2 cards made my credit score drop 😢 I only had 1 card before this so kinda confusing.
apply for credit cards will temporarily lower your credit score because you are seen as high risk, because you're opening multiple lines of credit in a short time. Just use those for a couple months and keep the payments at 10-30 percent of the limit.
Just got my first credit card and I’m 32 smh nobody taught me this shit. Got 200 dollar limit on capital one. How do I build it. And what does it mean if I add cash to it
Yes, yes they do. Capital One, Bank of America, Chase and Synchrony. If your ITIN is valid, they will give you a shot given you have any kind of credit history. (Check the company Self for a good way to build some). Also, loan companies such as Oportun will also lend you up to 10000. On the business side, banks such as Accion opportunity fund will also lend you up to 25.000.
@@viniciusmorais8931 thanks for the info! So I got my chase one earlier this year and capital one just last month and the petal 2 (all under a year) but synchrony was the first I tried and they turned me down, I called them and they said they didn’t accept ITINs however back then I had no credit history so maybe that’s why 🤔….I tried getting the Blue cash Amex but was denied, so you know which Amex is easier to be approved for by any chance?
pre approval offers don't mean s**t...i probably got denied more with pre approval offers than i did by randomly applying for a credit card (and i have great credit BTW)
Just closed my two premiere cards because I was tired of paying monthly fees and yearly fees that were too much to charge. So I stick with capital quick silver and credit one Amex for the time being. And calling to pay my card to have it paid sooner got alittle annoying every time I wanted to pay them.
I started with Wells Fargo, but I financed my first car through Capital One Auto Finance. I love Capital One.
I stay away from Synchrony as much as possible due to the history of them abruptly shutting down accounts.
Can you elaborate on this? What do you mean by shut down account?

I wonder if the CC companies approve low credit score applicants as a control group to see if credit scores really predict defaults?
Definitely
They make money on people who don’t pay in full.

Always quality info 💯
Synchrony drops your credit limit for no reason. 🤦♂️
Facts that true.
If u have a low credit score u can also get the capital one platinum credit card no annual fee u dont need a secure credit card
Awesome videos people, please keep up the awesome work people, you're welcome people!
Not true for me. Just got denied for an Amazon card because of lack of credit history although I have a good credit score.

How hard would you say it is to get approved for Capital One Venture X?
1st and great video as always Cal. I love the data points you always mention, a nice touch.
My credit score is 550 and I need $400 like YESTERDAY.. what or who can I apply for to pay my rent?????🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Got denied for discover it. 676 score

It's a gamble.
Pre qualify is nothing close to pre approved. Even then, pre approved is not even close to a guarantee.

Does Synchrony and Comenity do a hard pull for CL increase?
No they don't

Citi bank has done this to me on 4 different cards
Do you have proof kovo reports the the credit agencies?
I heard tomo claims they do but they do not.
AMEX = Annual Fees. And they are overhype. How many of us actually break even with the annual fees?
Join the military and it’s free
Amex has many cards with no fee. I have 2 fee cards (Hilton Surpass and Gold). 2 no fee cards (Hilton Honors and Blue Cash Everyday).
I need a chase credit card 💳
Why
Same here. I want the United Gateway card.
Synchrony is a over priced money sucky card.. VERY high fees &fees & fees.. Avoid any Synchrony card.
I just got a Bread card for $3550

Should close my $300 secured I opened almost six years ago? I have another card that is six younger than the secured card.
Can't you switch to the unsecured version, Just to keep the credit history
You should keep it and ask for a limit increase. The history will help you.
I have a $900 one. They told me asking for an increase would be a hard pull.
