I was just door dashing and stumbled upon a gravel pit today. Found 4 nice chunky agates! I wish I had a bigger saw lmao, I think mines 5in and the agates are far larger than that diameter :')
I'd say that was a successful agate hounding day! That last cut one is a beauty. I love the little pocket with the orange spray around it, in the quarts!!
Every time I watch, I think that slabs of some of these stones would make cool mosaics. I think some of the quartz heavy ones would make awesome abstract 'stained' glass window pieces.
I come for the agates, I stay for the way you pronounce the word because it reminds me of my childhood. (Born in western NY and moved to AZ when I was 9.)
I was just at stoney point and canal park yesterday rock picking-i found out that dog saliva works better than human spit (more glossy sheen)! Happy hunting!
I would love to watch a video of how these Agates are formed with your voice narrating and explaining it. Your joy for the beauty of a rock makes me a better person.
This is my favourite format find and cut in 1 video!! I watch a lot of rockhounds who says that's a good cutter but often you never get to see the cuts and I'm always disappointed so thank you so much for satisfying my curiosity 🥰🤩😍
SPECTACULAR ! What great finds.....I sure wish they used natural gravel around here but they use crushed concrete from road replacement .... WOW! so glad you found those beauties.
My favorite was the first one. Call me boring, but I love the way the stone looks like it's melting over the quarts. And the other stones are still really pretty 😊
If you had made the cut closer to the window, would there have been more banding and less quartz? with how the window looks and how the quartz expanded where you cut, suggests what I'm thinking. Would you consider making a second cut closer to the window? this is where my curiosity takes me with this one. I love watching your channel.
wow, I'm happy to see your video, natural stones are so beautiful, greetings, I'm also one of those who like natural stones, greetings, I'm from Indonesia
I'm an electrician at a new construction site and that's where I'm finding agates atm. I find some on Lake Michigan but not as nice so far as Lake Superior Agates
I always go crazy watching you cur those rocks open. It's so exciting.... it's just like watching miracle is happening...who could have thought there's such beauty inside those rough and rugged things 😊
I've been an agate hunter on and off for a very long time. You found more large Superior agates in one outing than I've found my whole life. I need to rub your horseshoe! Happy for you though.
I would suggest you go ahead and slab the Meh stones, and turn them into Light Catchers. Such as covers for night lights, or fashion them so they hang in a window, so the light shines through them. I WOULDN'T polish these slabs, because the whole point is: the light shining through them.
I think with the ones you don't cut you should make a waterfall display, the constant water flow would show off them bands. Nice hunt, have a great weekend.
In one place in western Canada I found about 3 tons of agot 1lb to 200 lb…..talk about sweeting back packing most of them the 200 pound one took me 15 hrs to clear a path and pull it along on a grain shovel…
I usually find gravel pits on the side of the road, gotta respect the first one out to the pit, The Stanky Stanky pittttt. Even if you don't have "permission" thanks for sharing!
I did not see you select the specimen that picked at 2:55 in the video as being selected to saw. May I suggest that you polish it in a triangular shape or a pyramid? Let me know the outcome!!
You search and find semi-precious natural stones, but what do you do next? Do you process these stones and earn money? Do you use it for rings, necklaces or other purposes? Share the video for this question

Thats cool 👍👍👍
Well, you cured me of agate hunting with the snake photo.....erk.
Every time I watch, I think that slabs of some of these stones would make cool mosaics. I think some of the quartz heavy ones would make awesome abstract 'stained' glass window pieces.
Always love your videos, not only the thrill of discovering what beauty lies within, but also your absolute pleasure in the process. We all enjoy!

Northern Illinois here. I'm in Idaho now. I love hearing him "aygate" too!
Chicagoland here…honestly I was soconfused when I first started watching, but I’m hooked now!
I think these videos where you cut some of your personal finds are some of my favorites.
I’m glad!
The one with the fracture that you shot down at 7:11 is just georgous! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Reminds me of a century egg
Thank you for taking on this adventure! It was awesome!

Thank you for sharing the beautiful finds. ❤❤❤
You’re awesome dude. I’m from St. Cloud and find tons of agates. But the size of the agates you continually pick blows my mind
I really enjoy seeing the beauty inside the agates.
Side of the road? Hmmm...🤔 No rubber boots, no runaway waves, no scoop... 👍😄 It's a winner. Thanks for sharing the fun.🤗

All those were big! You really have a good eye finding agates! 😊
Thank you 🤗
I liked the fall colors in the one you said was nothing (agate wise). A polished slab might make a nice autumn necklace
32 HOURS!!! Can’t wait!
Cut, cut, cut. Somedays peanuts somedays hulls. They are all more beautiful cut. Thanks for sharing.
Your videos are relaxing and exciting at the same time.
SPECTACULAR ! What great finds.....I sure wish they used natural gravel around here but they use crushed concrete from road replacement .... WOW! so glad you found those beauties.
Aw, poor noodle-neck in the beginning is just trying to bask in the sun! Don't hate on snakes 🥺
Nasty things
My favorite was the first one. Call me boring, but I love the way the stone looks like it's melting over the quarts. And the other stones are still really pretty 😊
OH MY GOODNESS! SO BEAUTIFUL! Enjoyed the adventure. Enjoy watching. Stay safe and God bless

When you open them, they look like butterflies. So excited every time you cut one open beautiful just beautiful.
I have watched almost all of your videos, and I can not believe how huge these are on the side of the road !! 😮

I love the last one! It is absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks!
I'm an electrician at a new construction site and that's where I'm finding agates atm. I find some on Lake Michigan but not as nice so far as Lake Superior Agates
I hope you polished the first two. They didn't have bands but the coloring was beautiful and reminds me of landscapes

When I go to garage/estate sales I look at the peoples rocks. Have found some nice agates, thunder eggs. Petrified wood, obsidian. So much fun.
I would suggest you go ahead and slab the Meh stones, and turn them into Light Catchers. Such as covers for night lights, or fashion them so they hang in a window, so the light shines through them.
I WOULDN'T polish these slabs, because the whole point is: the light shining through them.
It sounded as if you were at the side of a busy road collecting those agates. Thank you for sharing some impressive rocks.
Your videos are sheer joy, always uplifting. Thank you!
I think with the ones you don't cut you should make a waterfall display, the constant water flow would show off them bands. Nice hunt, have a great weekend.
I would love to go rock hunting with you! You get so excited as do I and sometimes it's not easy to find someone who shares in it to go with!
That was fun to watch. I find agates on the beach here in Oregon. I don't know how they get the colors and bands. Always a mystery.
Hi love the agates im from uk living in perth. I love scotish agates too thanks for sharing
some really great finds! even the bandless ones are soooooooo pretty. 11/10 always immaculate vibes man ✌️
loved the snek also
I am waiting with the notify me setting! I love this channel.
I’m glad!
Good morning from hot and sunny central CA.
Thank you so much for sharing your videos! I really enjoy them!
Glad you like them!
Incredible finds. I even loved the ones w/o bands.
Awesome finds! Thanks for sharing! 😊
You've got a great location. These are all a bit bigger than usual. 😃
I knew there were some! And it was waiting for you
I thought it was today, darn!!❤😅
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Waxy goodness! Gorgeous rocks....
If I found such a rich agate hunting spot I would never leave lol
I would live there on the side of the road! I would dig everything around! )))
Some of those are so big!! Compared to the ones you usually find 😳😁🤤😍
Yeah it would be nice to find bigger things more frequently
moss agates... I like them. I like to face polish stones like this - it keeps the weight and exposes the bands, as well as the natural character.
The fractured one had a nice sunset pattern. Top shelf!
Thank you 🙏🏻😊
Big agates! I hope you go back. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing ❤️
The stuff I find in landscaping rocks here in Washington state is usually orbicular jasper. Really well defined orbs and not to many cracks.
I love the fractured one, it gives the rock character :D
What fun!! Love it! 😍
"There's a big part of me that doesn't want to cut it." Yes! Go with that.
I love the orange one with the banding
Epic finds!!!
I know what I want, and I want it now. Another agate dad vid, cause I'm mister rock vein.
In one place in western Canada I found about 3 tons of agot 1lb to 200 lb…..talk about sweeting back packing most of them the 200 pound one took me 15 hrs to clear a path and pull it along on a grain shovel…
So beautiful that they are mind blowing! I love to rock hound and can't wait to see more😁🥰
I usually find gravel pits on the side of the road, gotta respect the first one out to the pit, The Stanky Stanky pittttt. Even if you don't have "permission" thanks for sharing!
Did you find those in a parking lot? Beautiful pieces for sure!
Nope!
I did not see you select the specimen that picked at 2:55 in the video as being selected to saw. May I suggest that you polish it in a triangular shape or a pyramid? Let me know the outcome!!
Hello from Clear Lake WI!
snake was flattening out cause he was defensive cause they dont know if your going to kill them or not etc.
He was in defensive position because agate dad was going to take his special rocks😂
@@STRAIGHTJXCKET hahahaha wheezes 🤣
Marvelous finds
Quick question do you have a rock Tumblr?
I don't know if you can tell me but I am a huge agate fan and I am trying to find good hunting grounds where do you go up by lake superior
I love the Quartz kitty cat shape in the first rock...
Michigan Rock is going to be jealous for sure.
that second one, it looked like the water lines were painted on. they look to perfect
I am so happy for you.Guess i know where my next vacation will be.
I love the one you call stinker
I have some 5+lbs Fernley Agates. I'd love to see what they'd look like cut in half
Amazing agates ❤

Literally just got into Duluth. I’m heading to grand portage any spots to stop on the way???
Here in Nova S Ottawa w e have some of the best Agate beaches on the Bay of Fundy examples Scott's Bay
Old Disabled House Bound Dusty Rusty Rockhound here: That looked like sooo much fun! 🥾🚶♂️🪨⚒️
So the one you cut opened up at 8:28 what was it?
Was it an agate?
Not sure where you are located but finding LSAs like that is wild!
Why yuck? That snake was beautiful!
My opinion on snakes = yuck
Wow you gotta good ones

Did you watch?
So cool rocks 👍
I don't know how you can cut some of them. I wouldn't be able to. 😊
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good for you
I may have cut that one with the bands on the end again.
These are amazing!
