Well, from this list alone, Doom Dark Ages and Witcher 4 certainly already, perhaps even Fable. But one that I didn't see mention is VTM: Bloodlines 2; even though the fanbase is very cautious about it (considering the development hell it was in for so long) I'm actually really hoping it'll be worth the wait.
Tommo my man, the more of your content I watch, the more I like you as a person. Here's hoping one day us fans can get to try some of these games with you! Happy to see this channel getting so much more content!
I knew Tommo was a gamer, but this video shows me just how in tune with the gaming space he is. Several of the games on Tommo’s list are on my list as well. A few games he didn’t mention that I’m really excited for are Borderlands 4, Clair Obscure: Expedition 33, and as of yesterday Ninja Gaiden 4.
Yes, unfortunately I had already made this before Ninja Gaiden dropped or else that would be on here for me too - I'm intrigued by Clair Obscur as well!
Great list! I agree with another commenter saying you seem to be pretty tuned into the industry as a bunch of these were new to me. Mouse: P.I. in particular looks amazing! What an incredible visual style. Something you didn't mention that I'm really looking forward to is Judas, the new game by Ken Levine. He was the mastermind behind the Bioshock series and the older System Shock 2, both of which were pretty revolutionary for their times. I'm really excited to see what he comes out with next.
So, Judas is on my radar but I'm ashamed I've never really played the Bioshock games. I was completely captivated by the original's demo on Xbox 360 and then just...never really played them. So I need to get to them first!
Tommo, Since I know you adore Bleach like myself. I want to Introduce you to a series on the Nintendo Switch called Xenoblade Chronicles. It'll change your life and the lore of it is so thick that you can make videos on it just as much as Bleach vids if not more due to the insane world building. I genuinely feel like you'd love it. Do give it a go lad 🙏🏻
I know of Xenoblade Chronicles (mostly thanks to Shulk being in Smash...) but to be honest it's never really appealed to me. However your recommendation does make it sound enticing!
@mrtommotalksgames Is that by second-hand knowledge or by your own conclusion? I'd say if you can look past the 'graphics' then there's certainly alot to love but if you can't then yes I suppose it isn't for you sadly
Ay, Mouse Pi for Hire mentioned!!! Im so excited for this game, the art style, the character design and the little gameplay theyve showed looks like this game will be a lot of fun, been excited about it since I saw the first teaser. Really cool to see if be included in this video. Im also quite interested in atomfall, so far it looks pretty promising but the northern accents are helping a bunch since there the sort of accents I hear on a daily basis 🤣
I'm really looking forward to Mouse to be honest - and Atomfall is intriguing, always great to see a game set here in the UK, but I feel like I need to see more.
Super excited for rebirth of souls! Not sure if you’re interested in streaming MrTommo but I for one would love to see you play any of the games on this list! ❤
You're a Pokémon fan? That's awesome! I think it would make a great video to talk about your experiences with the series and your thoughts on the potential future of the franchise. I'm a huge Nintendo fanboy, so I'd love more content on those games and your experiences there!
Me riding the silksong copium train Aside from that, my top picks are definitely Doom and ot course I'm legally obligated to hype any major Bleach game. Hyped for Black Myth Wukong and Lies of P DLCs if they end up coming out this year Also edit I'm insanely hyped for Judas but also dunno if that has a release date yet
Judas doesn't have a release date yet, but as far as I'm aware it's slated for 2025 - not sure though. But yeah, Lies of P DLC is something I'm especially excited for too.
Split Fiction is probably my most anticipated game for this year. Haze Light has proven time and time again that they can create some truly great games. Plus some of my favorite memories is playing Co-op games with my dad, so you can bet I'll be doing the same when it releases
As someone who tends to wait a year to buy the "complete" version of games, I hadn't heard of 90% of these.. but that Mouse: P.I. For Hire looks sick! Keep it up man, I love your videos.
hopefully you try xenoblade chronicles x this year. it’s a great series and it’s going to be a wonderful remaster of a game that needed more attention and love
The recent Xbox event made Expedition 33 the most exciting game for me in 2025 even tho I never even heard about it before or maybe I saw the first trailer just forgot about it. The character designs look amazing and the story also seem interesting.
Just like Bleach, Inazuma Eleven is another series that deserved a new game, and Victory Road promises a lot and the gameplay is really fun and addicting even, for sure one of the games im more looking forward in 2025
Going through my Steam wishlist and there's actually more coming out this year that I'm interested in then I expected. Monster Hunter Wilds is the obvious one (even if I couldn't get the demo to work on my machine, but I'm guessing that's a Linux quirk and once the full game releases Proton will get updates to get it to run) but apparently Kingmaker is close to release and the footage I've seen from that so far looks absolutely hilarious. Never played a Bleach game myself considering they tend to release on consoles so I'm quite excited to try Rebirth of Souls. I'll wait until the first reviews for Civilization VII are out, considering they can be a bit...anemic on release. I've also haven't been playing Paradox' games too much but the few dev diaries I've seen of what will be Europa Universalis V look fantastic so if that releases this year I may very well be drawn back in. Would also love for Crowsworn and Hollow Knight Silksong to come out this year but honestly I've stopped getting my hopes up a while back, lol. Also Slay the Spire 2. God I am going to play that game so much.
@mrtommotalksgames Haha, yeah, that's fair. I can still recommend Hollow Knight on its own, though, absolutely stellar game, even if Team Cherry's communication regarding Silksong leaves something to be desired to say the least.
Interesting...that would be really cool. I've recently been thinking it might be akin to Smash Ultimate in that it'll include almost every racer/track from the previous games, but I'm not sure.
@@mrtommotalksgames ooh! You should do a couple play throughs. Doom 2016 (on Ultra Nightmare Difficulty? Prove your gaming chops?) followed by Doom Eternal. And then when Doom: The Dark Ages releases, play through that. And then you’d have a cohesive… narrative? I guess? On the channel.
Witcher 4 definitely won't be this year because they said it wouldn't be, but I'm super excited for that one. Ciri is my favorite video game character by far. Also, Bleach and Jurassic Park Survival (a game that took way too long to finally be made) are my most anticipated this year.
There was a new Darksiders game teased by THQ Nordic last year and THAT is my most anticipated game of the hopefully this year because I have been waiting for years for new Darksiders game.
My list from least excited to most excited: 8. Assassin’s Creed Shadows 7. Ninja Gaiden Ragebound 6. The First Berserker: Khazan 5. Phantom Blade 0 4. Ghost of Yotei 3. Doom: The Dark Ages 2. Elden Ring: Nightreign 1. Ninja Gaiden 4
Since there's no mention of Monster Hunter Wilds, I'd assume you've never played any of the games, right Tommo? That said, I HIGHLY recommend Monster Hunter World (the other games are great too, but I believe World is the best as an entrance to the series). I bought MHW for my brother a year ago and although he liked it, I became clinically addicted to it, dumping over 1200h into it. I'm a huge From Software simp and even then my most anticipated game for 2025 is Monster Hunter Wilds over Elden Ring: Nightrein. Give Monster Hunter a try, Tommo!
Games I'm excited for (no order) Bleach: Rebirth of Souls South of Midnight Fatal Fury Cotw Kingdom Hearts 4 Mario Kart 9 Split Fiction Dispatch Fragpunk Project Century
My japanese idols are Kubo and Kojima. Please give Metal Series a try. I know it's a remake and I'm not sure it will be as good as the original or as it was for me playing since MGS1, but Metal Gear Solid Delta is a remake of one the best, wich is MGS3.
Which 2025 game are you most excited to play? And which game is most likely to slip to 2026? Let me know your thoughts below - thanks everyone!
Xenoblade X DE due to being improved great RPGS.
monster hunter wilds a fan since generation 3
Personally: as a massive fan of the Borderlands franchise - more precisely: Borderlands 2 - the main game I'm looking forward to is Borderlands 4.
intergalactic, naughty dog didn't need to show much for me to be excited they're one of the few companies who has a 10/10 catalogue.

It really does, yeah.

Great picks - Ninja Gaiden 4 would've been here for me as well but sadly I made the video too early.

ALRIGHT FINE TOMO, ILL SUBSCRIBE.
You, charming man, you.
Really excited for Ghost of Yōtei
New Doom, 3 New Ninja Gaidens, Khazan, Exodus (old Bioware alum), Bleach Rebirth Souls, Death Stranding 2, MGS3 delta, Mouse PI
Great picks!
you should try out Monster Hunter Wilds, it's my most hyped game in years and if you're into Soulsborne you'll probably enjoy the gameplay at least
I'm someone who really enjoys coop experiences so I'm REALLY looking forward to Split Fiction from the it takes two devs
I'm intrigued by Split Fiction - it definitely looks like the most interesting thing they've made so far.
hopefully you try xenoblade chronicles x this year. it’s a great series and it’s going to be a wonderful remaster of a game that needed more attention and love
Monster Hunter Wilds. Id put it on excited since im not sure if my rig can run that thing.
No monster Hunter wilds hype is criminal. Great franchise highly suggest
I've never played any of them, but quite a few people in the comments are recommending them - I may have to have a look!
Lies of p dlc 🙏
Yes! Can't wait!

They sound like great picks - honestly I'm kind of glad I never got into Hollow Knight at the rate people are having to wait for Silksong haha

I won't be playing anything but rebirth of souls. I already booked the days off so nobody can bother me while I marathon the entire story
Sounds like a plan to me.
I'm calling it now, it's going to be Mrio Kart Maker. A fusion of Mario Kart and Mario Maker, you'll be able to make your own tracks and share them.
Interesting...that would be really cool. I've recently been thinking it might be akin to Smash Ultimate in that it'll include almost every racer/track from the previous games, but I'm not sure.
of these games, i'm probably most looking foreward to Doom: The Dark Ages. or the The Witcher 4.
Doom is going to be so good!

Thanks for the recommendation! No, I've never played any of them to be honest, though I came close to picking up World when it released...
There are waayyy too many big releases in 2025, I wonder which one's going to be game of the year.
Speaking of Gothic themes and vampires, did you see Nosferatu tommo?
I did - I loved it!
Do you think you would stream your Bleach play through?
Games I'm excited for (no order)
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls
South of Midnight
Fatal Fury Cotw
Kingdom Hearts 4
Mario Kart 9
Split Fiction
Dispatch
Fragpunk
Project Century
Great picks - FragPunk looks interesting actually, I considered putting that on here.
My japanese idols are Kubo and Kojima. Please give Metal Series a try. I know it's a remake and I'm not sure it will be as good as the original or as it was for me playing since MGS1, but Metal Gear Solid Delta is a remake of one the best, wich is MGS3.
Yeah, sadly it's a series that I've just never crossed paths with, however the remake does look pretty good - would that be a decent starting point?
Tommo doesnt play Monster Hunter?! Noooooooooo 😭
I'm sorry!
The only game I have any real interest in is DOOM: The Dark Ages. Modern gaming is too driven by greed in my eyes.
I don't get excited from playing games in our current year 2025. The state of gaming is embarassing & I want no part of it
Bro Ac shadows looking good even though yasukes trash but is a necessary evil
Theyve been talking about a japanese AC since 2008 and its terrible
