YS 8 & 9 are underrated gems, can’t wait to play Nordics
I don't know why but i feel obligated to mention Darksiders 1 and 2 especially 2 with that amazing music.
Also OG Resident evil 4 !
The og ff7 is a good one to revisit every now and again
Yep one of my all time favorites. FF6, too with the pixel remaster. Some nice Quality of life improvements that help a lot, too. I actually like it more than Chrono Trigger. The Score is phenomenal too, even for a FF.
Ys is such an underrated series, nothing but bangers. Thanks for shouting it out
Kingdoms of Alumar. Started playing it recently. Underated RPG.
It really is underrated. I loved the original so much. Even managed to turn someone else on to it. Still haven't played the remake but I'm going to.
💩💩💩
I am always thankful when you guys tag the chapters of the video with the names of the games!
Thanks for watching! :D
Perfect timing for me! I just beat Final Fantasy 7 for the first time and unsure what to play now.
Final fantasy 9!
no backlog? lucky you 😂
@@FSousA7X i have a massive backlog of like 300+ games, it’s always fun to choose what to play next though 😂
Oh, finally Ys series hitting Gameranx ❤ That's dope
I remember putting some of these games in my backlog when they came out... Man how the time flies...
Time keeps on slippin
@@Mrchair905into the futurrrre.
Dawn of War 2 is such an odd choice considering 1 and Space Marine but I respect it.
Hey falcon, it’s folks.
Thanks for uploading right on my break time!
🤝🦅
Break time on a Sunday? What you work at McDonald's or something.
@@PhaRoaH87 no i produce sodium bicarbonate, if you believe only McDonald’s is the only place to work Sunday, I’m guessing you still living off your mother. I doubt you even understand what sodium bicarbonate is.
Don’t be an ass hole.
@@PhaRoaH87 🤦♂️soooo many more jobs out here that require weekends, King Sass.
@@PhaRoaH87 I really doubt you’re even gonna understand this,
Probably still locked up in your mother’s basement leaching off of everybody else, but I work in a sodium bicarbonate facility , I take care of soda ash I grade one grade 2 grade 5 with the facility as well as main industrial and industrial grade 5 as well as human grade and animal feed.
Don’t be an asshole . Hopefully you’re literate enough to understand that.
Thanks for this beautiful trip into video game history!
The old Splinter Cell games still hold up phenomenally well. Chaos Theory still holds up as the best stealth action game today imo.
Yep they're timeless classics.
Awesome games buddy, have you played Ghost Recon wildlands aswell?
@@neiluk78 No wildlands is bad.
@@nikobellic8002 I enjoyed it, great game.
@@neiluk78 You enjoying it fine but that doesn't make it a great game. It's literally far cry in tps or just another just cause. Not great, ok. Why would I play this then those games?
Thank you! The longevity is exactly what makes Alien Isolation so much better than the standard horror game. Every playthrough will feel a little different.
I wish SE would give us a good port of Chrono Trigger. Maybe an HD-2D remake like they're doing with DQ3, or even go full 3D like DQ11.
Full 3D game like FF7 remake
@@corruptedpoison1 Absolutely fucking NO thank you. They could give it the treatment that Super Mario RPG got, that's fine, but FF7's remake is so far off that it's basically not the same game anymore. Not saying it's trash, but it's definitely NOT what most FF7 gamers actually wanted the whole time we were asking for a remake in the first place.....
Leaving Armadillo at night when the stars are out and the whistling music kicks in is one of those great moments in a gaming world.
Another legendary game I don't see often mention is Lufia 2. Such a unique mix of JRPG and Adventure. No random battles and you get new tools to explore dungeons like in a Zelda game.
The fuck you mean no random battles? Dungeons don't have em, but the overworld for sure does.
@@Astraeus.. My bad, still, you spend way more time in dungeon trying to figure out the puzzles compared to the world map. To the point I even forgot there were random battles
Lord of the Rings Shadow of War, still have so much fun with the nemesis system. Also planning on doing a replay of Mass Effect trilogy on legendary difficulty this winter.
It’s funny how more and more gamers are returning to the OG catalogs 👍🏻 me included!
Gamers have returned to old games they've enjoyed since the start of gaming.
We have to. Look at the products being put out today, and the delays in between. The OG classics are where it's at for the most part.
#1 game that most people overlooked and should try is Tunic!
Never judge a book by the cover.
That game is a soulslike with some of the most satisfying exploration I can recall in a videogame.
Just started Deus Ex Human Revolution and having a blast!
Nice
I never asked for this
I want to thank the gameranx team for all the years of informative and entertaining content. It is with a heavy heart that I have to leave my passion of gaming behind in pursuit of new things. The state of the industry and a bleak horizon, combined with a severe lack of enthusiasm on my part has lead to a decision to seek new highs. 3 decades of being a die hard fan of gaming, for me, is quite long enough. I wish all of you nothing but the best, and hope that you are able to hold on to that passion. Res Ipsa Loquitor, let the good times roll.
I applaud you for recognizing when a hobby is no longer fun for you. I know you’ll find something else you like even more.
Funny thing, Tomb Raider 2013, Wolfestein The New Order and Batman Arkham Asylum are the 3 games from list i've installed again last week
I jumped outta my seat when you mentioned Chrono Trigger! Hands down one of my favorite games of all time that I always go back to. The fact that it has so many different endings for a game that came out so long ago still blows my mind (15 endings) 🤯 Love the soundtrack too.
Witcher 3 and Tomb Raider. Have dropped so many hours on those.
And dropped so many enemies in those
Thank you!! for this video. i have been off the gaming world for like 13 years and just now got back into it. So this is PERFECT for me.
holy shit, Ys 8 mentioned
Nice to see DA:O on the list I was playing through it when watching the video, definitely still stands up.
The graphics in Alien Isolation have held up so well.
So happy to see Dawn of War II mentioned. One of my favourite game EVER, and I never see it talked about.
Wish Xenogears(also a classic) would get the treatment that Chrono Trigger has gotten of late.
In this day and age this is the kind of video we all so desperately need.
As someone who has never played a fallout game or been a fan of it, I just played New Vegas and it was INCREDIBLE. Apparently there are a ton of mods that improve it, so I might replay it with some
You should play Fallout tactics
He's got 1, 2, and 3 yet to play and you recommend TACTICS first?
Being a father of a toddler and a new born I have been playing my backlog on my Legion Go and this is perfect for me to try some more!
PREY 2017 deserved more Love !! ❤
Big time. Such a great game.
The one from 2006 was way cooler
I am currently playing Wolfenstein: New order and its still awesome!
Fallout NV i already revisited 5 Times with 900+ hours of gameplay.
🤝
I just downloaded Watch Dogs 1 last night, and modded it using your video from back in May :) I commented then that it was a great video, and it also turned out to be very helpful!
This is truly the best channel ever
Thanks to all your support.
Thank you so much for adding timestamps with titles insted of just 1,2,3,
Can't wait for the next Alien game. I missed sweating playing a horror game.
Same
Alien VR comes out in December 😁 that'll be interesting.
Play visage and outlast
I have personal favorites I will always go back to (Fallout 4, Mass Effect Legendary) and a huge backlog of older games I haven’t yet played (Borderlands, No Man’s Sky, Control…) but/and these lists are fun, and remind me of how rich with choices the gaming world can be.
2:54 desperately need a way to play gta4 on ps5!!!!!
Your fault for buying that useless console. You can get it on ps4 and ps3.
And pc always exist.
I hope you were not asking for remake or remaster. Because we wait for gta 6.
Sorry man, I just replayed it on pc. Even split my time playing portably on the Deck, got to play while on a flight recently.
@@nikobellic8002you cant play it on ps4
@@nikobellic8002boohoo
that's a bummer
Replaying that Alien Isolation right now. Honestly one of the best looking Switch games too!
Solid game right there!
The ps3 store is still online. You can only access it from a ps3
Did we miss any games that should have been featured?
@@gameranxTVmaybe Bully or The Warriors, but Rockstar already has enough representation
One of the Best Decisions I made was subscribing to this channel. THANKS FOR ALL THE AMAZING CONTENT
Resistance trilogy ?
Couch coop Resistance was great
Resistance was awesome.
Loved them at them at the time. Gameplay aged terribly.
@@ryanbartley3152 yeah so imagine a remake
For that we need part 2. Cause there are too many games from 2010s that you can make a series out of it
