    City makes more sense due to sheer space it has....moreover the high speed stability and agility of the city is excellent...though not as good as vento or rapid.

    I sold my Verna fluidic last year and bought a Honda City 2019. I don't think I'll be able to sit comfortably in any other SUV or sedan now. City offers best in class seating comfort and leg space. It gives me feel of a sofa lounge. even on long trips i never feel tired. Whereas in my cousin's Creta's back seat i feel like i am sitting on a chair which is very uncomfortable

    • @panchalburagohain516
      @panchalburagohain516 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What's the major drawback with Verna that made you ditch that car for City ??

    • @andyarora9182
      @andyarora9182 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Panchal Buragohain it was a fluidic verna diesel 2013. It was 6 years old and the engine had started making little noise. While standing outside, i could hear good amount of engine noise, which was embarrassing at times. I feared that noise will increase with passage of time, hence its time to sell it off. Infact i did went for new verna test drive last year, but didn’t like it’s interiors, which were dull in colour, compared to my fluidic verna, and also back seat comfort and head room was very less. And once i sat in city’s back seat, no other car could impress me. I even checked creta, yaris, ciaz, harrier and corolla. But city’s comfort was the best

    • @andyarora9182
      @andyarora9182 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Panchal Buragohain infact last week i went again to test drive new creta, seltos, facelift verna, and also the new 2020 city. But all of them failed in back seat comfort. One thing that none of the reviewers have informed, is that the 2020 city’s back seat comfort is not as good as the 4th gen 2019 city. 2019 city’s back seats are more reclined, and feel like a perfect sofa lounge, whereas the new 2020 city’s back seats are less reclined and feels like a suv or hatchback seats.

      Suv seats wants one to sit only for a short duration , especially the rear ones, they make the passenger so uncomfortable on a long drive ,wanting to cut it short. In the sedan, it's the opposite. I feel it's due to the angle of the" C" pillar. My observations.

      Harish S i agree. After watching this video, i went to test drive new creta and seltos. Tried both of them 3-4 times, and found that suv’s high sitting position might impress at first, but it can never give comfort of honda city seats, specially back seats. And the city’s petrol cvt driving experience is the best. Infact i was planning to sell my 2019 City and buy new creta, but finally cancelled it

      @@foodyfoody9574 bro creta, seltos,brezza they are just pseudo suv's, most of the people who buying them never ever take them to the off-roads , people are just buying these crossovers blindly like they always drive it on countryside, but the reality is 90% of these suvs runs on National highways or in cities. So if one is driving 90% of its vehicle on Highway amd in cities then what is the purpose of buying this crossovers , just buy a sedan which has ample of space in boot as well as in the cabin, better handling n comfort in lesser price.

      Nitin sedan is for oldies. I have HC and I regret it for Suvs. Poor sheet build, rust problem in door panels. Whereas Suvs are sturdy with more GC, sturdy build quality, better resale.

    • @foodyfoody9574
      @foodyfoody9574 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rahul reservation😷. Sales figure speaks volume about demand from customers. Sedan time is up. Buy and regret it. If I hv to put my money today I will buy Seltos / Compass again. Sedan needs more parking space, less GC, lighter body prone to rust and dents.

    • @foodyfoody9574
      @foodyfoody9574 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rahul I dont agree. The rust on city comes from within due to poor metal characterisitcs(withoit any scratch or dents whatsoever) No metal protection can save it. The sheet starts corroding itself from any side. Companys pathetic customer support does not even helps. The only solution is replacement of the either the entire door or panel whichever starts rusting including hinges.

City I feel is a more usable car especially if you are staying in a metro where roads are generally more predictable. I drive the New Honda City 2020 VX MT Petrol Radiant Red. Penning down some of my observations in hope that it can help other potential buyers:
    1. Pros:
    a. First Things First - Ground Clearance is NOT a Problem AT ALL unless one intends to go OFF the road on a trail with Large rocks and highly uneven terrain. I have driven on bad roads/ sometimes barely a road/ Large Potholes and the car hasn't touched the ground Yet. NOTE: I have driven with Max 4 People with limited Luggage in Boot. Maybe with a full trunk and max seating capacity, there could be an issue, but I think the whole GC issue is being blown Out of proportion in the New Honda City. Its totally Fine
    b. Driving Pleasure - Highly refined Engine, Light Clutch, Fast Gear Shifts, Highly responsive Steering. The Engine has a wonderful revving sound(Which I have read some people say is a demerit as it creates cabin noise), which keeps the driver excited. Not many gear shifts needed. Car drives beyond 80KMPH in 3rd Gear easily
    c. Cabin Quality - Cabin is functional and is definitely more luxurious compared to cars in the same price range. Its spacious too.
    d. Cost - The Models for Creta and Seltos with VSM, Hill Assist comes at 16Lakhs+. City has the same safety features from the Base Model itself. Nexon with similar Safety features is priced ~12.5 Lakhs(On Road, depending on city might vary a bit). City's price lands in the middle of current sub compact SUVs and Compact SUVs. It’s a steal if you ask me.
    e. Safety - ASEAN NCAAP 5 Star Rated, 6 Air Bags.
    2. Cons
    a. No Front Parking Sensors - Being a Long Car, I feel the Front Parking sensors should have come out of the Box but I had to shell out additional 10K from the dealership to get it fitted
    b. Infotainment System - Gets the job done but in bright sunlight, the screen isn't clear. The Koreans have a much more intuitive and Clear screens
    c. Mileage - I have been getting 10-12Km/L Mileage till now having driven it on the Highway, City and Western Ghats. Being a City, I expected higher.

    Hi Rachit, great content as usual. I have been following HC 5th for since Thai launch. I have a couple of questions and are very genuine. You may answer with a video if you still have HC test version with you or just comment.
    1. The build/ joints isn't/aren't consistent on behind front mud flap,
    2. Intersection of A pillar and fender, the steel is almost without any support.
    3. 980 mpa grade steel really? You can witness a triangular protrusion in rear wheel area displaying poor steel quality, push it with no pressure and can sense it bends. Similarly, sunroof area where steel is exposed.
    Would you like to highlight crumple zones in this car if you have insights on them. Would India production version would still be a 5 starrer if tested on GNCAP model.
    PS: These are my observations and are not to hurt anyone's sentiments. I would want HC to be perfect.

    Was thinking about asking you for this video. Great that its out as its a big question for many. As per my research, people want everything, good seating stance and comfy ride, dominant as well as luxurious looks, performance and off-roading. So, lots of confusion! Also, price is a big factor and somehow I feel the craze for Mid Size SUV's have increased its price for the segment. I would go for seltos and not Creta if i select a mid size suv to buy due to various reasons. But, the new honda city is fab and its price is wow! I was also considering verna till sometime back but now its gone out of the window after the new city launch. The price, the performance, the engine n gear cluster , luxurious interiors, all is magnificent. But again, the seating stance, the road presence, the ground clearance(the fear of going off roading with a sedan or simply climbing a ramp!), panoramic sunroof, and few more stuff is still making me confused. Also, the sales data is highly towards mid size SUV. Why is it such??? Damnnnn!!!

    • @sudeep9198
      @sudeep9198 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ever heard of the word "Bhedh chal" thats the reason mid size SUV's are selling. From my personal experience of having owned two sedans in past 10 years (verna 2010 and ciaz 2017), Sedans offer much more comfort even driving 5hrs straight is not a problem. But then again it depends on what kind of roads you would face. Most of the highways are in top condition now a days, only if you think you would be travelling to very remote areas, that is where you might miss an actual 4 wheel drive SUV. .These mid size front wheel driven suvs and neither as rugged as a proper 4 wheel drive nor as comfortable as a sedan its just a bad compromise.
      I have seen roads with lots of pot holes and I wished I had a bit more ground clearance and had to drive really slow to tackle them, but its better than having two wheels up in the air after dodging a street dog at high speed. Yes SUVs tend to do that because of their high CG(check moose test).
      I have also observed that people having motion sickness more comfortable in sedans than in SUVs because of the negligible body roll of sedans.
      So other than bad speed breakers and potholes there is not much that stands against a sedan.
