    One of my favorite games looking back on it now. At the time I was probably crying because my beloved All Blacks lost. As a kid i didn't realize this is the game that United a country. well done South Africa.

    Underdogs in 1995 & in 2019. Never underestimate the underdogs. RIP Tata Madiba, Lomu, Joost, Kitch, Chester, Small & all our other fallen heroes from the '95 World Cup.

      @@nishlash4786 We hadn't played very well since 2010, going into the 2019 world cup, england dominated New Zealand, who we lost to and were looking much stronger than bokke, everyone thought england would have this, and we came and smashed them, yes the bokke were underdogs.

    I remember this game like it was yesterday. 14 yrs old, driving with my parents to family in Nelspruit, listening on the radio how we won the world cup! Came here to see what I missed on the TV. This was a great game, proud to be South African.

    Mendela was in jail for 30 years.
    And when he was released, he forgave the people who put him there. He embraced the Springboks because he was trying to unite a nation when his own people were probably hating him for it. What a man, probably the greatest leader. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

    I only started watching rugby back in 2003 however, I was so fascinated by the story of South Africa and how they won the RWC in 1995 so I had to learn about the history of that special year. Francois Pienaar & Madiba truly left their mark in rugby history. Definitely the most iconic RWC imo💯

    I never watched a rugby in my life however, I was merely 8 years old when Lomu introduced me to rugby union in 95 World Cup. It pains me not see Lomu left Webber Ellis cup. On the other, to learn the tragedy history behind South Africa apartheid era finally at end and a nation finally free, united was absolutely incredible climax.

    I came back here to see this the next day after we won 2019, this was indeed more emotional than our 2019 win. Tears streaming down my cheeks from the braai fire outside to celebrate yesterdays win. Faf tackles like he is twice the size he is, his heart probably weighs more than the Ellis trophy. Well done to the WHOLE team, they played like the heroes they are. Rassie is such a humble man, go see the 19 minute video interview of him and Capt. Siya.

    The 1995 New Zealand team was invincible, until they got poisoned before the final. The S. Africa Rugby team had nothing to do with it, but you still have to feel for that generation of New Zealand players.

      And they proved how invincible they were by beating virtually the same SA side 4 tests in a row after this game,3 of them in SA which justifies any suspicions surrounding the 1995 world cup lol.

      Not that great one team had to bribe a reff a Rolex to get there and the other team was poisoned, and they still couldn’t score against a team with half its players vomiting on the pitch and sidelines
