  • I have not long crossed 500 subscribers on the channel, which personally I think is awesome and thank you for all your continued views and likes. I am hoping to hit 1000 subs by the end of the year. so please keep sharing and liking and hopefully we hit it. I'm working on a few locations for future videos which will be key to the video itself and something you might never have seen before in a jaguar video.

I got a set of leaper stickers which were meant to go on my brake calipers after a refurb, I wanted a metallic Cadbury purple, but I had to get driveshafts so the refurb got put on hold.
The leaper is facing the wrong way as a nod to my first X Type, it had the leaper on the bonnet but it was fitted backwards by a previous owner.

Have another sub 🙂You've been in my suggestions for a while. I own a 2.2d x type sport in black. I love it and will never sell it. Neglected by previous owners I'm now spending my spare time bringing it back to it's former glory. Your car and quality of cinematography are excellent. I'm in the north west UK too 👍

First of all thank you for subscribing and your comments, it's always great to hear or see someone restore their X Type rather than scrap it. I might have to organise a little meet with some of my more local subscribers and put a video together if you would be interested?

@@rkphotography557 Yes would be interested. I work in Hightown near Liverpool. The car would have been scrapped many times over but I am stubborn and try to do all my own repairs big or small. I plan to get another car for work this year and preserve the x type. It's aged well, the retro look didn't strike me back in the early 2000's but now looks great compared to all the angular EVs etc. Cheers 😀

I had to undergo working on the car myself as garages either haven't done the work right or done a poor job but I'm no means a mechanic.
If you use Facebook I will link my page below, makes it easier to track messages etc.

Your videos are the best about Jaguar x type. Really amazing.
The manifacturer would have to pay you a tribute for your great job.
    Better than an official spot.
Stunning car with the manual gearbox and the 2500 v6. Even better if the first edition with the viscous joint coupling gor traction to the rear wheels.
What a fuck for electronical issyes on doors, abs ecu and so on. But the perfection is something that cannot be found on this earth.
Again, thank you for your great videos.

Apologies for the late reply I don't always get notified of comments etc...I'm glad you love the videos and massive thanks for your kind words. It's a car I will surely one day miss but glad I have these videos of her and I was told when looking at the X Type it's an "old man's car" which I don't believe at all, I am glad I've been able to do what I have with it and show it in a different light. Finishing a shift and climbing onto the car seeing the Jag display and just cruising home, nothing better. I love the AWD side of her and fortunately haven't had any electric issues to date.
The biggest issue I had was the rear cat becoming blocked obviously over time but I kept getting these weird misfires that came and went when pressure was building up.it took a while and a lot of wasted money buying and swapping coil packs and spark plugs looking for vacuum leaks and all kinds.
Again great car, she has the grace, space and pace that jaguar intended for this car. I had plans to shoot a video at Jaguar and Land rover in Ellesmere port where the X Types were made or so I believe. I think that would make for a good video if they let me on site, I've yet to reach out but it's a video I would like to make.

Great video, love the look of your car. I just bought an 07 3.0lt V6 Sport Premium in great shape for its 142k miles !
Is the 08 grille easily interchangable with the earlier models then ? Thinking of swapping mine as you've done, its much more gangster.
Im based in Southport not too far away from you.

    • @rkphotography557
      @rkphotography557  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

In Southport, that's awesome, if you ever want some photography or video im happy to do it, especially on another black X Type. The 3 litre is definitely the one to have. I think I'm on 144K
The grills swap straight over it's just 4 10mm screws.

Do certain people not like the hood ornament? I think it looks clean with or without it I just would rather keep my hood ornament, also where did you get those headlights and tail lights I must have them for mine

Personally I love the leaper, this car didn't have one but I have a brand new in chrome all though I'd like it finished in black, then i will get it fitted.
The link to his Facebook is below, he's been super busy with builds etc...so there is a wait for them. He's one guy who builds these amazing lights, I keep sharing and everyone wants a set so he gets bombarded.
Thanks for the comment and viewing, let me know if you get a set 🙂👍

I live in México, I have the X Type 2006, I'm trying to get a set of LED front lights like the ones on this video, but it has been complicated, do you know about any supplier with international shipping?

Yo thanks for the comments all the way from Mexico 🙂👍 I will look the Facebook page for the guy who builds these lights below, he is based here in the UK and 100% ships worldwide.
He has some different options for the builds, RGB halos or without if you want a more standard looking build.
He's guy who builds them so not sure how backed up with builds he is at the minute but drop him a message and I'm sure he will happily help.
