They do tear down restorations in Spain and France that leave the car modernized, rust free, with renewed interiors, new electronics, wiring, and in better than factory new condition. I guess if you have enough money, there's someone who can provide the service.
Maintaining a car correctly for 23 years, driving a vehicle that appears to be in almost new condition, there's a certain amount of pride and satisfaction that money can't buy. Once finished, I grew bored with it and sold it to my neighbor.
Super job ! Qu'elle est le prix/budget de la prestation ? J'aimerais beaucoup pouvoir faire cela sur la mienne qui est un V8 4.2 atmo. Mais ce n'est pas rentable en France de mettre autant d'argent dans une rénovation. Great job! What is the price/budget for the service? I would like to be able to do this on mine which is a 4.2 atmo V8. But it is not profitable in France to put so much money into a renovation
This my favouite car. I've owned two. The one I have now is a 2004 3.0 V6 sport. I would love to get mine restored. It's got an air leak between the MAF sensor and the left bank that that gives an intermitant engine warning light, I have not a clue how to fix it.
@@denniswanjukimuthui5810 Have you tried a full reboot! Getting the gearbox adaptions cleard can help, but you will need to put some "gentle" miles on it so the gearbox will learn your way of driving. I purchased a cheap diagnostic reader (£30:00 ebay). Its very basic, but it will give you a rough idea whats going on and you can clear the ABS warning light. A common problem with S Types of this age is the ABS sensor. All you need to find if one is failty is a continuity tester or multimeter. After you remove it that is. They are cheap (£13:00 ebay) and easy to change. My apologies if I am telling you what you already know. TH-cam is a good educator.
Why would a 2001 Jaguar need a "full restoration"? Then again, it's a Jaguar, I did my apprenticeship with Jaguar in the 80s and wasn't impressed, everything that could go wrong did go wrong, especially on the XJ6. I drive a 1992 MB W124 with 220k km and it definitely does not need a full restoration, friends have even older MBs, including a 50s Ponton, which drives better than many modern cars.
Dismantling an engine and your staff are wearing trainers on their feet. You give them uniforms and no safety gear. You do not care about your employees.
To be honest, after living in Dalian (China) for a while with my chinese wife, I think they really have a great facility and great working conditions, but I see your “western mind” point. Most of the time, the workers themselves, don’t want to wear the individual protection equipments because they don’t feel comfy and furthermore, the regulations are way more relaxed. Once I saw a guy replacing a fuel pump while smoking, so the safety standards are different 😅
This video & part two will define impossible for all youtube in this category. Very well done.
I have a 2001 S-Type. Barely 106 thousand miles. Back seat NEVER sat on. 23 years old and looks as clean as this one when finished.
Sometimes doing this to an older quality car is better than buying new. Should be more people like this around, you guys are quality.
No, it’s almost never a good idea. Especially in this case.
I enjoy watching the teardown but that music is mind-numbing.
I have one of those and am sort of in the process of restoring it 🙂But it`s not going to be as good as yours....nice work!
I wish it could be my Old Jaguar s-type 🥰
Mine is gone 😅
🎉молодці хлопаки Майстри, гарно , чітко, злагоджено працують🖐🦾🇺🇦
Proposional mekanik otomotif God.
Extensive work! Lovely 👍🏻🙏🏻
First class job
If they did that here in the States, I would pay for that! At a reasonable price, of course. Nice work!
The labor in the US would probably exceed the Blue Book value of the car. An expat watching in Florida
@@jeremypearson6852 You're probably right!

Anyone wanna guess the labor cost on this project? The attention to detail is amazing, it probably looks better than when it was new.
My 2003 S Type got Last week painting polish. Looks Like a new car. Black color, now so deep
nice ford restoration
It's a Jaaagg. A few Ford bits but what is wrong with Ford?
Belo trabalho. Abraços de São Paulo.
Excelente 👌

Where are they buying all this parts from... can anyone suggest a website?
What's that pump on minute 4.03
In the US this would cost $25,000
Where are you located? What is the estimate for this job on an Jaguar S-type?? Thanks for any info!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can you restore a 2007 S type V8 RHD manual for me so l can import it to Australia.
When Ford took over Jaguar, that was the end of that strong brand
Oil and cleaning agents straight down the drain, really environmentally friendly!!!!

Its not even the STR. Why the trouble?
Why are you spending so much money on a $10k car
In china this is a 30k car
If you don’t know that you’ll never know
you know its a Ford Contour
Most Likely a Lincoln LS... If you will...
These dudes have lady fingernails
Do some research. Cultural shows they don't do manual labor and are RICH so to speak. (yes i know they are working on cars.)

Wow! 22 years and not a single spot of corrosion. In Europe rust would have eaten that car in most parts....
