Moody Blues - Isn't Life Strange
Moody Blues - Isn't Life Strange
Moody Blues - Isn't Life Strange
    Isnt life strange
    A turn of the page
    Can read like before
    Can we ask for more?
    Each day passes by
    How hard man will try?
    The sea will not wait
You know it makes me want to cry, cry, cry -
Wished I could be in your heart
To be one with your love
Wished I could be in your eyes
Looking back there you were, and here we are.
    Isnt love strange
    A word we arrange
    With no thought or care
    Maker of despair
    Each breath that we breathe
    With love we must weave
    To make us as one
You know it makes me want to cry, cry, cry -
Wished I could be in your heart
To be one with your love
Wished I could be in your eyes
Looking back there you were, and here we are.
    Isnt life strange
    A turn of the page
    A book without light
    Unless with love we write;
    To throw it away
    To lose just a day
    The quicksand of time
You know it makes me want to cry, cry, cry -
Wished I could be in your heart
To be one with your love
Wished I could be in your eyes

My dad passed away yesterday, The Moodies were his favorite band before I was a child and all through growing up. He was passionate about this band and their music even though I was trending in contemporary hard rock n metal at the time. But the time I hit my late 20s I was physically and emotionally far from him and thought "Well, I know what can connect us, let me try again to find out what was to love and why". The connection was immediate and soon they topped my playlists over some rather obscure acts known as the The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. These blokes not only had musicianship and arrangements perfect for orchestral rock. the drenched melodies and lyrical depth for lasting aplomb. I will always love you forever, Dad!

One of the reasons of success for the Moody Blues is the writers' ability to make the listener believe in their shared empathy. We have all felt the things they sing about but they sing it as if it is directed to us, secretly and alone.

Later that evening and in the middle of the concert, Justin Hayward asked us to pause and say a Prayer for the children who lost their lives earlier that day. In the silence my favorite musical group of all time played this song.

The quicksand of time devours us all...but one cannot allow oneself to live in the past. This will only cloud the future. As Georgie Harrison wisely said, (in response to question posed to him concerning his fear of death after being diagnosed with a brain tumor), "I don't fear death...
I believe it is only leaving one car and getting into another." THANKYOU Georgie, Many thanks 🙏 M/B. All of your music will live on forever❗️🕊. kundalinikarta@gmail.com. I'm a 68 year young VETERAN COSMIC ROCKER WHO WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU🌎❤️

I have been a huge fan since they started in the 60s. I graduated from high school in 1966. I am attending my 50th high school reunion in October 2016 in Arizona. As a side trip, I am driving to Las Vegas to see these guys in concert at the Venetian Hotel and Casino and to help celebrate their 50 years together. I'm almost 69 years old and I am looking forward to this concert like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning to open his presents. Once in a lifetime opportunity for me to see my all-time favorite and the all-time best rock and roll band ever.

My dad who's in his 60's introduced me to these guys, I'm so glad he did. The lyrics resonate with me and a quick Google search really grabbed my attention as the psychedelic influence that infuses their music really appeals to me. These guys were obviously conveying something they saw/felt through psychedelics im guessing and delivered it through music. From my experience it really strikes a cord and they channelled something we all could do with in our lives, love and spirit. Namaste
