This song came out in 1970, and the words still resonate today. Nothing has changed. The world is still engulfed in hate and death and war. It just moves from place to place. The questions never bring about answers that stop the madness. All we can do is love ourselves, others and pray we are not in the wrong place and the wrong time.
They are absolutely the best band in the world...they have no equal...they are timeless...their music will live on and on and on....we are the lucky ones who happen to be living our lifetimes while they are also alive. If you get a chance to see them in concert you certainly won't regret it! I have been a fan since the '60s and they have taken us through a wonderful musical journey..they are the soundtrack of our lives.
The song that made me a Moody Blues fan so long ago. One summer night about 2:30 am in July of 1969 I was laying awake with the radio on and this started playing. Have never got tired of these guys.
I have been Lucky to see the Moody Blues 6 times in my life all were special but the best was in Cleveland sometime in the 70's, and I was able to score front row tickets for 5 of us, front and center. Sitting there it was almost too much, I found myself crying through most of the concert maybe 2 other times Music had done that where tears just would not stop flowing out of my eyes. I will never forget it, It was the 70's and LSD was still a sacrament for me, and I was happy I consumed so much of it that night. And when they played Legend of the Mind so much of everything came to me, so within a few years I was set back up in a new place to blast off from. I was suddenly a neighbor of one of the the most famous Recording studios of the 70's the Caribou Ranch. And to this day I still live in on the the many canyons that become a persons paradise to get lost and found in. The Moody Blues, what can a person say about them. All great players, amazing talent singing truth! The Moody Blues!
I listened to Howard Stern for years pushing for this band to be inducted into the Rockand Roll Hall of Fame, then it finally happened because there was never a good reason not to induct them. If you've never heard Days of Future Passed, the LP, on a real stereo system, you're missing out.
"Question" is a song I never tire of. It's not the thoughts framed in the lyrics, it's the complex construction of the music and the way it is delivered to the ear.
Listening to this performance I find myself bawling like a baby. It brings back such lovely memories of my youth. Thank you Moody Blues for this soundtrack to my life.
Scott Walker I've always had a place for the Moody Blues in my heart. Whether it was looking at my ex-wife before she decided she wanted not ever see me again. Or dropping huge doses of 25. They have been at the top of listening list. Always being real mellow or taking my head into mellow custody. I love these guys. You notice there are not as many as there used to be? Time is tough on us all. Peace By the way, nice Celtic name. Take care Mr. Walker.
But in the grey of the morning my mind becomes confused between the dead and the sleeping and the road that I must choose!!! That sums up every day Blessings all!
What an incredible song ,i never really paid attention to the words when i was a teenager but listening to them now 50 years later i realize how deep they were !
Justin Hayward, yes wonderful creator & musicam. Love his music & singing. I would gladly attend the church of Justin Hayward. Love the tunes Nights in White Satin & Questions. Best band from the 70's.
The fun of going to a Moody Blues concert is that everyone in the audience knows the words to the songs and sings with them. Glad they are still touring in 2017!
Wow!! Absolutely amazing!! Love the Moody Blues!! They were one of my favorite bands back in the 70's!! Justin Hayward is an amazing singer!! Love his voice!! xoxo
When I hear them I always think of my good friend Bruce, who passed away many years ago and with whom I shared the adventure of a lifetime.. He was a huge Moody Blues fan and I still miss him..
Justin had two songs both in the Key of C that he could not complete. One was an anti Viet Nam War song and the other was a tender love song. He put them together...hence "Question" was born.
The Moodies simply love to play...it's what they were born to do. There's nobody like them...they've proved you can write insightful lyrics, play with symphonic orchestras and connect with their audience in a way no one else can. I saw them in early '74 before they took their prolonged sabbatical. They were unbelievable...I'd never heard any band be that precise in their music. It was beautiful, haunting, rocking, all the things music can bring. God Bless the Moody Blues. We fans should create our own HOF and put them at the top.
2024! They really are one of the best rock'n'roll bars of all time. I don't know if they ever did a SB halftime show back in the day, but they should have!!!!
Have loved this band and their epic songs for over 45+ years. I must say honestly they are one of the greatest bands of all time. Can't imagine a world without the songs: Nights In White Satin (especially this one for me. It's one that surpasses any song melodically, lyrically, musically, words can't describe how excellent it is even after hearing it a million times), Tuesday Afternoon, Question, Ride My Seesaw, The Story In Your Eyes....Justin has that certain cry in his voice that makes the songs so grand. Ray, Justin, John, Graeme and Mike ...the best musical ensemble I have enjoyed for quite a long time!~J.W. from Northern California.
Too damn right! I'm just a few months younger than Justin, a couple of years younger than my other favourite, Gary Brooker. They both still sound fantastic.
IMO, The BEST R&R, ballad, thought provoking, mind expanding, melodious, instrumentally gifted, harmonious, thrilling, and joy inducing groups to ever grace a stage , our ears and hearts. Definitely gifted by God.
Magnificent. What a wonderfully seminal band. Way back in the mid-60s they planted the seeds of progressive rock by pushing the boundaries of the standard rock canon. Here they are decades later sounding as great as ever!
Having front row seats at their concert in New Orleans, LA. I was two rows back from Justin. It was great. When I was a "hippie" teenager, the Moody Blues had a song for ever trial I had in my life and that music helped me thru it. When they teamed up with an orchestra that put them over the top for sure. They are the best that came from the British invasion of music.
Big FAN here !!! I’ve been listening to the MoodyBlues since early seventies... This is a timeless band to anyone that gives them a listen. Beautiful meaningful music made by musicians 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Ya know ... that rock n roll hall of fame is just a freakin' building ... and The Moody Blues are so far above that place. I just wish that one time I could go to a concert. I'd be on so many clouds....I'd never come back down to earth.

And shortly after you posted that, they were inducted.
I was lucky as I was born in 1947 and have had the joy, pleasure and delight to have listened to the great ones from Hank Williams to The Isaacs. The Moody Blues are a great band and I must say my favourite has always been 'Isn't It Strange'. The music I have listened to during all this time one has to say I was God blessed.
been a fanatic since 'days of future....' when i rushed home from the record shop to play it.always thought they were the quintessential English band but no,seems they are loved across the pond too.great taste.
Started listening to them in 1975 with a very special girl. Things never worked out between us but I did see the Moody Blues with her at the St Louis Arena in 1977 or 1978. I still listen to the Moodies and still think about her from time to time. “Just a smile that my wife doesn’t understand”.
Wow! What a performance 💫 and they got the Hall of fame too in 2018 well done Moodies for over 50yrs of beautiful music and songs. Question is my favourite song of poetry with philisophical meaning, expressionism and creativeness in songwriting and what a voice that carries it perfectly in Justin Hayward 💖
Kids today have no idea what music is. Moody Blues are awesome.
the generation I grew up in with bands like Moody Blues saw the greatest evolution in music in the history of mankind.
My kids do they are all 26 and under. I have 4. They all know and love The Moody Blues. The youngest is 21.
The only thing better than a Moody Blues song is another Moody Blues song. Period. 50 years proves it.
This song came out in 1970, and the words still resonate today. Nothing has changed. The world is still engulfed in hate and death and war. It just moves from place to place. The Moody Blues are blessed that Justin Hayward still sounds so great- not every singer still has it after 40 years.
no mmk
He didn’t spend his career screaming lyrics.
40 years? Something more, I'd say. But we agree on the voice.
Still enjoying in 2024. Simply the best.
Never gets old.
I love love love this song.

You're right
Their best song, easily.
I Am 70 and I listen to them every day. Who would want to listen to anything else?
Best band in the world…Seriously ?? lol !!
One of the greatest bands ever. The lyrics, the musicianship, Justin’s voice. Just wow!
Tears cascading
Peace ✌️ 2024
Thanks Moody Blues, much love!
This is pure class. Nothing better than seeing a great musician strum the hell out of a 12 string.
The song that made me a Moody Blues fan so long ago. One summer night about 2:30 am in July of 1969 I was laying awake with the radio on and this started playing. Have never got tired of these guys.

I kept the faith loved you guys since 1972. Complained bitterly to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame about their sorely lack of recognition of you guys.
To all of us that have grown old listening to The Moody Blues...we have enjoyed the greatest band of our generation ❤
no Question! about it.
In our soul we are still 18, even though the knees think we are in our 70s. Breathe deep and enjoy.
This song... never, ever gets old.
Heard this song first at 18 and thought it was amazing and I still think it’s amazing.
I always rewind it 10 seconds a few times to see this absolutely gorgeous woman and the lucky guy next to her. 3:58

The hole in the middle of the album was too small. The whole thing cracked.
Raised on the Moody Blues .. always loved their music and now at 74 years old loving it even more .. ❤️🌟🌟🌟❤️

AN ABSOLUTE CRIME TO HUMANITY THAT THE MOODS ARE NOT IN THE HALL OF FAME.
That self-appointed "Hall of Fame" is a joke and they know it. I don't need a bunch of dopes claiming to be experts to tell me what is good.
Gary Pierce Well put Gary - his is some of the best music we'll EVER hear!
GaggleofDoozies You're absolutely right. A complete travesty. And I have yet to see a valid explanation why they haven't been inducted yet.
GaggleofDoozies Just a matter of time.

Timeless!!! It was a SOUND we had never heard before back then. And it’s still relevant today. They still have ‘IT’!
Back in the 70's I wore this album out . I still have a thousand million questions. I am still looking "for a miracle in my life"
Have you tried looking in a "Gemini Dream?" I'm a Gemini. 😁 This band is amazing!
Look no further. The miracle is that you are alive. The miracle is out there when you open your front door every day.

When you stop looking the miracle is looking for you 😍😘💎

What a voice Justin has. I love the moody blues and have since I was a kid! Justin is also one of the most beautiful men on the planet!
Great head of hair ...
Yes, no matter what his age. He's perpetually beautiful.
Justin has a bald spot in the back with a comb-over. Still lovely.

You are right. Music hall of famé. Let's do the first shortlist. They should be rated, as well, from 1 to 10
I thought, with age, he may play it slower. Its actually FASTER! Brilliant. Ah, the 12 string, the sound of the 60's
