First Man: I think, I think I am, therefore I am, I think.
Establishment: Of course you are my bright little star,
I've miles
And miles
Of files
Pretty files of your forefather's fruit
and now to suit our
great computer,
You're magnetic ink.
First Man: I'm more than that, I know I am, at least, I think I must be.
Inner Man: There you go man, keep as cool as you can.
Face piles
And piles
Of trials
With smiles.
It riles them to believe
that you perceive
the web they weave
And keep on thinking free.

A wonderful day for passing my way.
Knock and my door and even the score
With your eyes.
Lovely to see you again my friend.
Walk along with me to the next bend.
Dark cloud of fear is blowing away.
Now that you're hear, you're going to stay
'cause it's
Lovely to see you again my friend.
Walk along with me to the next bend.
Tells us what you've seen in
faraway forgotten lands.
Where empires have turned back to sand.
Wonderful day for passing my way.
Knock and my door and even the score
With your eyes.
Lovely to see you again my friend.
Walk along with me to the next bend. - เพลง
Trust me. At 63 I've come to realize a group like the Moody Blues doesn't come around once in a generation, but once in a lifetime.
"Once in a lifetime feels like waiting forever, I cast my heart to the sea..."

You're Absolutely RIGHT...
The Music encompasses SO MANY ELEMENTS, with INSIGHTFUL POETRY supported by Moving Melodies that Transcend Time...
SPECTACULAR!
You are so right!
I've Been A Moody Blues fan since the late 6o's. I've been on the sojourn with THEM! MY All Time Number 1 Favorite Band!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
ABSOLUTELY. Loved them FRIM the moment I heard this song as a pre-teen. Lots of older brothers lol. Saw them at Red Ricks with Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Once in a lifetime….. 💫 🌟 ⭐️
Who's listening in 2024? ✌️🖤
70 years old and still loving the band 🥰x
Do you want all our names, attention whore?
I saw this video a few years back. I don't know why but I kept coming back to this when nothing on TH-cam or the world in general.makes sense.
Always loved them. A boyfriend brought his reel to reel player with all their music on it. We chewed psilocybin mushrooms, then went to bed listening to them on reel to reel. Beyond beautiful. Im 70 now and always love to hear them.
I'm 63 too and I know they deserve to be in the hall of fame
I'm 62, and my papa and loved them.
To he!! with the Rock and Roll Hall of Money-grabbing Shame. They have zero authority over music beyond what fans give them. People need to stop giving them credence.
The early Moody Blues albums were musical EXPERIENCES, even if you didn't smoke the stuff. The music was just beyond anything anyone else had ever done....and no one has done it since.
or dropped LSD like they did !!!
A DJ's nightmare. Each song flowed into the next..
Formative. I can atest to that.

sooooo true!
remembering days in the rockies listening to this song over n over ...
In the mid 70’s the rock stations in Philly didn’t play this song …my father had the album and a pretty nice stereo ..as the family slept and I was pretty stoned with headphones on I heard this song for the first time about 14 years old then ..blown away …now 62 still listen to the Moody Blues
Saw them four times live over the span of 19 years. They never failed to deliver, and there was no other band like them. RIP Ray and Graeme.
Only saw them once, but they were incredible
And now RIP Mike 😞
@@cindyamcbride And Denny Laine back in December.
Man-o-man did you boomers get it right!!! As a member of Gen X, you guys made the best and most meaningful music. RESPECT!!! I'm glad I had a really cool set of parents that played music like this that enriched and guided me. I can think of only a handful of groups like the moodies that can take you on a trip with or without psychedelics. I have PTSD and these guys have saved me from destruction many times. Peace and love to you all ✌️✌️
Moody Blues are 1 of a kind.. such deep experiences with the music and words and incredibly harmonies, how they pulled it all together again and again...walk along with me to the next bend!!
& the combination of modern rock & roll with, the old symphony music, blended into deep & rich music. WOW
Yes, I still believe we can change the world, but the opportunity is slipping away.
LSD was a very useful tool. But the movement was hijacked with STP. That's what messed up Syd Barret. Military intelligence, social engineering. Same shit, different day...
I'm 42 now and have responsibly tried many illegal drugs. I am a musician and rate The Moody Blues as a very sincere effort of expression and exploration. Progressive rock pioneers really. I wish I had been born in the '50s. They really did squash the vibe. They murdered Jimi Hendrix, amongst others. I'm convinced after 6 years of research, that Paul McCartney was bumped off. Social engineering.
Look at this now.
Dirty bastards.
Hi Jeff, one of my all time favourite lyrics.... Lovely to see you again my friend,..... Etc. Esp as we age and the lovely friends of yore fall by the wayside. Me, I'm going for at least 107...2060. Gotta stick arnd to see what happens, ne?
@HMS Defiant: Golly gee, and wow. Sure I saw Paul with Elvis in a Walmart the other day. You sure?
I’m 72 now , the Moody Blues make me think, feel and act 23 🚒
Profound/uplifting/positive/deep/unique
Wonderful Day, passing my way, knock on my door, even the score with your eyes... Lovely to see you again my friend.... Great lyrics!
Every single track on Threshold of a Dream is a classic. Best Moody Blues album ever!!
Indeed!
@@davedude1969 The second best LP.
Best by far.@@arturbello4213
yep
My favorite MB album.
This one song speaks to all generations and all cultures. "Keep on thinking free!"
I almost wanna cry when I hear this song. It's soooo beautiful. How wonderful a gift the Moody Blues give us. How wonderful the gift of music. Please knock on my door.
This whole album makes me want to cry. Is it their best? Maybe, maybe not. Is it the most emotionally resonate for me? YES
At the time, these were some of the most well produced records. If you had a good "system", not what we have today, and good head phones, the music was unbelievable.
Thankful to have a parents who loved The Moody Blues. My childhood had the best damned soundtrack!!
gregarious red right!! I loved this so much on road trips as a child , then got too cool for the blues so to say ...come back in my 30s and it's just wow this might explain a few things 😂
Lucky Great underrated music!
Ditto friend!!! 🤗❤️🤗
Exactly. Raided my parents albums and just gravitated towards them. Fantastic band who I revisit often. Each album is a listening experience from the 1st track to the last
14 years old, sitting on my brothers couch, smoked up with giant Pioneer headphones o,n spacin out to the Moody Blues. I knew every word from In The Beginning.
I was in this huge house in Costa Rica when I heard that what you described and I was tripping out to The Moody Blues up in the mountains overlooking the capital of Costa Rica San Jose thank you for your comment
A girl in high school lent me an album she wanted me to hear. When I rolled the vinyl out it wasn't the record that belonged to the cover, but, " On a Threshold of a Dream." Changed the way I listened to music. Don't even remember what the album was she wanted me to listen to.
On the threshold 2020 in a world of AI, artificial news and digital dialogue we know their words were Prophecy! So Good to know there are still REAL people out there listening... It's Lovely to See You My Friends
So right man love of all things glorious
The Moodies are unique. The sound, lyrics and harmonies all woven together to take you on a magical musical journey !
This gorgeous and profound song is best listened with closed eyes. Pics of romantic scenes have nothing to do with it. That's why radios were so great for music. Your own imagination complemented words.🎉
Agree visuals are distracting. Best ever.
When I hear this song it's like meeting The Moody blues again for the first time
I always think of this song when certain people I met in life come back in in some form or another.
The Moody Blues were brilliant!
"There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave. And keep on thinking free" 1969 words to live by.
And still as relevant 50 years later !
Love
i started rage reading the news, then came here to remember:) does the trick everytime.
Profound & Excellent Advice!!!
it's all about balance ;)
FINALLY the Moodies are in the R&R HOF. How Joan Jett and rappers beat the Moodies there baffles the mind.
I love Joan Jett but I have to agree Moodies should have been there first and no rap crap !
Arthur F. Scaltrito you can say that again. Rap is not even music. Many songs you could hum but not rap.
I agree
THE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT
My experience with Rap in my neighborhood is when vehicles go down the street with the Bass so loud they shake my living room windows. I just can not understand the attraction.
Joan Jett made it in because of these classic lyrics (sarcasm) "I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
i lived in Germany in the late 60s & early 70s and bought every album the day it was released. I still have them. Someone was described the as "the smallest symphony orchestra". Genius
The Lord has blessed The Moody Blues..
Which lord ?
Finally
No,Lord is the keyboard player for Deep Purple.Get the fuck out with your sky wizard. No such thing."In the beginning man created God"."Religion was invented when the first conman met the first fool"-Mark Twain.
Mine & my dad's mantra: 'face piles of trials with smiles It riles them to believe you perceive the web they weave Keep on thinking free'
RIP RJ....not like you're resting or anything ;) Be lovely to see you again, my friend....
I LOVE YOUR RESPONSE CINDY........ YOU ARE CORRECT INDEED......RAY IS NOT RESTING.....LOVE YOU GIRL....🙏🙏😇😇💞💞💝💝💫💫👽👽✨✨❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
"...when empires have turned back to sand." ----Something to consider.
Having discovered this group in the 60s, to this day i can not stop talking up their work. Aside from their musicianship and songwriting impressing me beyond words, I believe their spiritual and philosophical insights on simple life and love have affected more people more deeply, then they may ever come to know. For a civilization whose future is not guaranteed, they likely have helped it survive to see 2020, and beyond.
You are so right. The younger me got hooked on the melody and arrangement. But now, much older (and wiser) I'm captured by the ideas and concepts that were prescient indeed. Thanks for the insight.
unfolding your true spiritual inner core is the reason we are HERE in the 1st place...the only way OUT of this mess is to go WITHIN Namaste.
Aweh, brazo, ya just slobbered a bibful ;>))
Someone put Moody Blues music on the moon to share with other life.
Not just a rock band, more a way of life and a code to live by. Staggering music never to be equalled in our lifetimes.
So agree thought I was to old hate the music today but realized I was right all along
This album just took me away. One of their best!
My oldest brother bought this album. I would often play it and this track always lifted my spirits.
One of the very few groups that did not sell out and go disco during the Disco years. Thank goodness
The greatest mix of Rock, blues, classical and jazz there every was and will ever be. I've been a fan since the early 60's. I had every album but they are out there somewhere but I know the are in my heart and in my guitar because I learned so many of them by ear and then when I learned to read tabs and music better on paper. You guys are the greatest all around Rock band that has ever been and will ever be. May God's blessings be on you and may your wonderful music forever be in our hears and minds. To my Children's, Children's Children's Children. Got 3 grown children who love your music and 5 grand children and one on the way who I know will also love your music. Your friend and forever copier of your music, Bob Presnell.
Robert Presnell As you bless them Robert, may you also be blessed... agree with everything you said!
I agree. This group in my heart is the greatest band that ever walked and sang on the face of the earth! I listened to them when I was a kid..... they are so inspirational for loving life and having spirit.
Robert, you are bless, thank the lord for the moody blues and their incredible beautiful music loved by millions.
I agree wholeheartedly
Brilliant music, lyrics and their videos, like Floyd's, are masterpieces.
Pink Floyd is no where as good.
They Are in the rock and roll hall of fame now!
the moody blues are my all time favorite band. They were rock and roll, but they were different.Great music for driving in the middle of the night on a long road trip.
"It riles them to believe that you percieve the web they weave.. Keep on being free." Marvelous thought
those were some of the best times of my life Donny and Dean Hope life finds you guys above all HAPPY and mostly HEALTHY. JOE
A recent Death brought me here. R.I.P. R. Thomas
My favorite group and always will be. What talent.
m7j23s53 next to the Beatles, my favorite group also.
When I proposed to my beloved many years ago I asked her to walk with me to the next bend. I told her it might take many years, and I want you with me until the end of time. 30+yrs later she passed away in my arms. There is not a day that I don't miss my beloved Barb.
❤❤❤❤
Thank you for posting this ! I grew up on the Moody Blues as a teenager and twenty something. No station plays them anymore. Two thumbs up .
Seen the Moody Blues 8 times in Concert.
It's lovely to see u again my friend..awesome lyrics.nothn like it these days.great music.i love them.
I was walking past a cafe in the city where I lived remembering the times I used to go there for lunch with a friend when we were apprentice typewriter mechanics, I hadn't seen him for many years and was wondering what had happened to him, I turned a corner into another street and there he was walking towards me, this song always reminds me of that day.
Your work never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for keeping the beauty of TRUE talent and ability alive in our hearts, minds, and souls. There has NEVER been a band like them nor will there ever be. The Moody Blues stand miles above even what the music industry hails as being "the best" -- The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, and whomever else you'd care to add to that list.
My Dad played this for me when I was very little and I remember every word. This was the precursor for my love of Tool and so much music that weaves in a philosophy of life and offers teaching and growth in addition to being so fun to listen to. I owe everyone involved a debt I could never repay.
Nice videos with those...Lovely To See You.. got to be in my top 10 all time favorites... and with In The Beginning as a prelude... just fabulous... again nice videos!
They were one of my faves in the 70's still are❤
Thanks Moody Blues for the great music thru the decades God Bless.
One of a kind band. Excellence achieved.
A lovely teenage memory-- gentle, weird, creative, melodic Top Talent from the day.
+Mike Ososki and not just a little, um, acidic..
are you crazy did you give up on your self.Moodies are the top notch band ever.Always will be.
Yes, a nice sorta appreciation but with no depth. One must have spiritual practices to reach the higher states of consciousness where the Moody's came from. Then it's timeless, universal, transcendental.
This is cool and until you have done crack you don't know
It was for me anyway
Awesome post, thank you!
Thanks for posting!!! Great as always, I was 19 yrs old when I fell in love with On a Threshold of a Dream. Good stoner music!
I'm definitely not Moody nor have the blues after listening to such majestic music, lovely to listen to it again and again 🤗🤗😁😁
There are a few people That IMO are musical geniuses; Justin Hayward is one of a handful!
This album in 1969 began my understanding of love and how it can both enrich and destroy. Forever grateful.
JFC!!! Thanks for posting the MOODY'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "And now to suit our great computer"
A life-long thanks to Justin, John, Ray, Graeme, and Mike. Thanks for showing me the way!!!!
There are in their now! Long overdue.
well put my friend
David Ray once pinder was replaced because of issues with edge, they were never the same , because of the mellotron sound . Still love them. The Beatles are # 1 but the moody are 1A.
They are truly an awesome band
Nicely done video! Suddenly I'm 17 again seeing the Moodies in an arena of 14,000, all of us higher than a kite. They opened with this and holy God they just took your head right off your shoulders. I know they got all symphonic PBS and such but I promise you on the first five or six US tours they rocked, they took the roof off. Maybe someday Justin will get credit for his AMAZING guitar work... and Mike Pinder for that very first mastery of the Mellotron...
Sublime doesn't even come close.
Wonderful, fantastic, terrific.
Excellent night dreams ! Spent many nights in an English Boarding school listening to the Moody Blues !
Classic M.B. s ... 💙
They cleared the way for many mind expanding nights.
I always considered the Moody Blues the Princes of Acid Rock, take you on a trip and bring you back with a smile on your face. Always had a good trip with them back in the day.
Album cover artwork. I think this cover and the Wake of Posidon may rise to be amongst the cream of album covers. Truly thought provoking artwork.
It goes without saying that this is one of the best of many great songs by the MB. Being in college when this album first came out, I felt that the "evil computer" versus "cool guy" conversation was a little overdone. Back then there were amy number of science fiction stories about bad computers, everywhere from "2001" to some Monkees episodes. But now some TH-cam algorithm does" know" what I like and "suggests" things that I would have probably gone to anyhow. Maybe. Truth always being scarier than fiction. Still, one of my favorite songs. Thanks for posting.

Hits the spot. Face piles of trials with smiles.
Very underrated song from the Moody Blues. They opened with this when I saw them in 1991.
NICE VIDEO SHOWS HOW LOVE USED TO BE BACK IN THE DAY late 1960's/early 1970's .....
took my girls to see them for there first concert.....awesome.!!!
Lovely to see, and listen to, this awesome band.
The body is only a vessel. It's our souls that are saved. Think about it.
Very very true this a mortality 4 our physical body
That's true, but only through Jesus. Our bodies will be saved at his return.
Classic Moody Blues ... rich uplifting music ... Magnificent 💙 🎶 🎵 😎
This video came out a little more than a month before I was born, and I remember when I was 4 to 6 years old (I don’t remember the exact age) I was scared, but also intrigued, by this song
Hands down, my favorite Moody Blues song.
Mine too. It's very positive and uplifting. Second is "Breathe Deep in the Gathering Gloom... or something like that.
@@imbluz love this song but not my favorite MB song. Tuesday Afternoon and Ride my see saw are my favs.
Please don't ask which is my favorite Moody Blues album...I can't answer. Each
one is unique and touches you differently. The lyrics are both powerful and
sublime. The music captures your emotions and senses...addictive in a very
positive way. This is music for the ages...as it always has been.
I was just thinking the same thing
man o man Justin, great song, great band . thanks boys for all you have done
and kept me going with your music
When i was a kid, i remembered hearing some wierd robot telling some guy that he was or something. Glad you got this song up. I feel like some things the Moody Blues lyrics has some kind of spiritual message. I think therefore God is...
Saw the Moody Blues in the Huntsman Center in SLC in 1985. Blown Away!
Enlightening this song and video
Mind Blowing....
I was born the year this came out. I remember hearing the start of the intro and it scaring me, just feom the background noise and the dialogue starting. Of course, the song begins and it isn't scary at all, but I can still remember the fear and excitement of hearing the start for the first time. My parents were listening to it in a darkened room.
thanks for the trip
Keep on thinking free
Love their music and videos so unique
Just the fact that this band isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame makes me sick. One of the great injustices that I can remember
+tp10488 Fuck the RRHOF...They suck anyway...Plus it's in Cleveland! Pfft! The Moodies are respected and loved for decades...They have received accolades beyond most other groups!
The hall of shame is a farce, awards go to those that kneel before satan. The Moody Blues are on a truly righteous spirtual plain.
Get your vote in today. They're on the 2018 ballot.
tp10488 RRHOF is a total farce and is nothing less than mind control and social degradation
Well it took long enough but they're finally in and more probably due to their fan base and not the administration!!!
Just to say they were so far ahead of the curve minimizes how great they were. Amazing.
The triumph and elations of mutual love truely a gift from the heavens.
Thank you Lord
You always hear me when I am calling
Finally! Rock and roll hall of fame! So worth it, every song every lyric every well goosebumb. Thank you Moody
hit 70, started backtracking, now I see how they were so ahead of things then. They made changes, and changed me for the better.
Discovered the Moody Blues in a used record store while at college in the late 70s. Their initial popularity had waned by then. Lucky for me as I was able travel through their discography of powerfully melodic and profound lyrics on a budget. Their work still inspires introspection about the many questions our existence presents. I may not have found all the answers, but I have the wisdom of this band as a guide.
There you go man. Keep as cool as you can. Face piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave and keep on thinking free
My little brother. May HIS soul be happy for happy Moody Blues.
Thank you so much for all your SONGS.
PLEASE COME BACK
Wow this is just magical teleported to another place and time it's beyond great, thank you so very much.
