As usual, he never fails to utilize his stutter for his sets. However, I REALLY like that he gives equal attention to every member of the audience. You can see him turning to a different direction every now and then. He really knows how to work the crowd.

I'm a stuttering Sociology prof. My students have heard me stutter in class. They make fun of me...for being a Trekker, a Whovian/ Dr. Who Fan, comic books, Harry Potter and The Big Bang Theory. As a proud and out Nerd and Dork, I'm glad that they could care less about that and bust my chops about how weird I am. ☺

I originally saw you on AGT when your stuttering was way worse but your courage to be funny was stronger. This is from 2 yrs ago & your therapy has helped you get more control of it. I grew up with a very bad stutter and spent most of elementary school in speech therapy. At 46, my stutter occasionally returns, but, for the most part I manage it well (I even majored in English while in college-go figure). Thank you, Drew, you are an inspiration!

I have quite a severe stutter myself, brought on by a rare side effect of an antidepressant - Sertraline (I had been put on different antidepressants for my anxieties/depression and over time just didn't work out, so my GP put me on this, and when put on maximum recommended dose I found I was sometimes woozy but couldn't speak properly which only served to add to my anxieties out in public). But this guy, I commend him for doing something I can't ever see myself doing, standing up under a spotlight on him in front of a crowd and using his impediment to make people laugh. He's good, I'll have a look around to see what else he has done. 👏👏👏 😎🇬🇧
I remember on AGT Howard Stern told Drew that he’s funny enough, he doesn’t need to laugh at his own jokes as a crutch. Also he’s probably told these jokes tens of times already. You kind of become desensitized to a joke you’ve heard several times.
A big factor in comedy is timing. The fact that he stutters and still has great timing is a true testament to how talented he is!
