I think Apple will still update the Mini this fall. Mentioned I sold my Mini recently and went to the 11 inch M4 iPad Pro cellular version. Biggest reason…..keeping devices consolidated and making sense. iPad Pro and iPhone Pro are what fit into my workflow. Having cellular on the iPad make the setup the ultimate devices for me since I’m always traveling for work too.

Currently using a 5th Gen iPad Mini. The Mini is the form factor that works for me - don't need anything MacBook or iPad Pro sized - so I'm waiting (very) impatiently for whatever Apple decides to give us. Thanks for the content.
iPad mini form factor is light so I can hold it in my hands for a long time without tiring. Screen size is easier in my eyes when navigating web sites. I can do work more efficiently with a mini sized work surface versus an iPhone pro or max form factor.

I don't think those two are comparable, because one is mobile and the other is desktop, I think apple sees the mini as an awesome way to get people into the apple ecosystem. But for all our sakes I hope you're right!
Mac are suppose to be big and comfortable to do deep work. But buying an iPad we need the mini because it's more convenient, the bigger iPads are just Mac's without keyboard. The bigger it gets the more you're better off just buying a Mac with literally similar price
As a student, I really want an iPad Mini. It's like the best school gadget you can have aside from a laptop. It's just the size of a notebook but it can do so much more. It's so easy to carry around which is so useful because I'm always on-the-go. I know a lot of people are complaining that the screen of the iPad Mini is too small for note-taking but I am willing to give up the comfortable digital note-taking experience for portability. I honestly don't think it's a small screen at all. I feel like it's just so perfect for my use case.
If apple didnt give us 120hz screen and OLED i’m keeping my mini 6 even if Mini 7, 8, 9, 10, come out. Such a powerfull Machine in a small Body wasted Performance due to lack of productivity apps that can maximize the Chipset and now i only use that Pas for either Entertainment or Gaming blasting highest settings.
I know the iPad mini has always been the forgotten child of the iPad family going 3 years between updates. And I know there’s been persistent rumors that the mini will be discontinued our replaced by an iPhone that folds out into an iPad. Blah blah blah. But i think the iPad mini 7 is coming this Fall despite all the negative talk. I’m an artist who’s main device is an iPad Pro, but I’ve always had an iPad mini for when I want to travel really light. I will upgrade my old mini for the 7 whenever it comes out. I think hoping for an OLED screen is a stretch. But a faster mini that fixes the jelly scroll issue would be very welcome.
Here’s what’s gonna happen…I have a mini 4 and been doing my research. Don’t want a 64 gig mini 6 so will save my pennies for a 256 gig which in Space Grey. Those NEVER seem available in the Apple Refurbished site. I will then bite the bullet and buy a new 256gb Space Grey. It will arrive and and I will be overjoyed! …one day before Apple release the mini 7 with a base storage of 128 gig at £499.00. MUTHAF~
I owned a iPad Pro 12.9 inch but sold it yesterday and bought a iPad mini 6 because i hardly used it, to big and for writing i have an Air m2, so yes, I lost a Lot of money but now im using the ipad again
I have an iPad Air 5th gen and before that had the standard size base iPads (like 8th gen and earlier) but I am currently watching from my mini 5th gen and I honestly use it so much now. When I first started using it it was so bizarre having the smaller screen but I got used to it and now it feels weird going that other way haha! But this thing comes almost everywhere with me now. I love it. I’ve been waiting to see what they might do (if they do) with a 7th gen.
@@JonAdamsTech I don’t think so, I actually got my 5th gen mini after the 6th gen was already released. It’s still running pretty well though. I can’t say I’m a user that probably notices things like that a ton because I only use it for fairly basic things but I love the portability of the mini which is why I take it everywhere to read and watch videos and stuff.
I like the idea of the iPad mini but not enough to give up my iPad Air with the magic keyboard. However when it comes to the phone, I love my iPhone 13 mini. If only they would make the 15 or this years 16 with a mini variant 🙁
Apple will release a foldable in the year 2040. They are way behind the competition. Samsung and other companies have foldables and do a really good job with them. If you want a foldable buy the competition since Apple will leave you waiting. Even most features of Apple Intelligence won't be available until 2025.
i just love this tablet just the right size to hold in one hand light enough to do this without your arm dropping off , i believe airlines are interested in this device because of its size
I've always thought the iPad mini was a little overpriced for what it is. Especially now with an aging chip and half the storage. An M2 Air can be had for $100 more at the moment. The mini has always just been a little undervalued, IMO. Cool form factor though.
I just got a mini 6 a week back. I need it to study. If the new one comes, Its fine, if it doesn't, its fine. I'll now worry about it if and when it comes.
iPad mini was the best size for multimedia purposes. Reading e-books/comics with bigger screen than your phone’s screen in 1-hand, watching videos, playing games, etc. it just perfect ! If Apple gonna get rid of it, man, that’s gonna be a big loss for them.

Another minor . criticism of this tablet is when it comes to screenshots. I am using this tablet now in landscape to get the bigger keyboard (big fingers) and when i have to screenshot i have to push the buttons on the side of the tablet ie the volume and power button which i find cumbersome whereas on my ipad air you just pinch a couple of buttons in one corner to perform this operation a lot easier. i guess i could ask siri to screenshot .
I have the mini 6 and possibly hold on to it if there's no update ever. It best size, perfect when travelling or just going to office ( i use it on lunch break watching Netflix while eating), reading ebooks or japanese manga.

About the M4 pro, aside the price, camera, and compatablities. Is it better than the previous version? Yeah. I’m starting to have my doubts that Apple will continue the iPad mini legacy. I personally am not a fan of foldable devices, I prefer the appearance of smaller form factor devices.
