This killing also reminds me of the 13 year old who stabbed the 14 year old cheer leader over 100 times. How could you not see this amount of rage in your child? It's sickening.

He knows it's over. He knew the day he ran from police it was over. Who knows why he chose trial by jury? Perhaps he hopes for a technicality that will get it tossed. This guy creeps me out,the cold stare,the stone face and no emotions at all but pure creepy vibe.
Yea I think he thinks he can literally get away with murder. He cleans the blood up in front of his girlfriend with only telling her to mind her business. Then he cleans a knife up that he used on her while putting on nitrile gloves and again tells her to mind her business. Then he leaves his car full of blood soaked fabric, her cell phone and keys and a trunk full of blood soaked trash. And drives around in the car likely knowing they were looking for him. Then he gets pulled over driving the murder car, which had her foot prints on the windows, and runs from the cops. Then for whatever reason and with ALL the evidence he pleads not guilty, wastes everyone's time, destroys her family even longer making them live thru and hear the details and seeing photos. I think he got wrapped up in white hate. He saw antifa and BLM getting away with major crimes and taking it out on white people. His switch flipped and he put the child locks on and went to pick up someone pretending to be Uber. He probably had the app and could see who needed a ride and just met them there. He stabbed her so many times and she fought back for a long time and unfortunately died a fairly slow death. I can imagine just how frightening it was when she went to get out and couldn't and asked him to unlock the door and he probably didn't say a word until he went to the backseat and took his violence out on her. Stabbed her feet which tells me she was kicking. God. I can't believe this happened. His GF should have called the police when she was the blood inside. I'll probably never be as frightened as she was that night and I've been to war and had a few scary moments but that probably pales in comparison to the torture she went thru. It makes me want to weep.
This guy is pure evil. If the devil were real, it would live within this monsters soul.
He may get his conviction overturned by claiming incompetent legal representation. Or a retrial.

There may be others he attacked because I don't believe he just decided that night to commit this crime. There may be others he lured in his car.
There were others he robbed & assaulted while pretending to be an Uber. As far as we know Samantha is the only one he murdered.

This prosecuter is making good points. The prosecuter who opened was exceptionally strong. This guy is just as good.
Great job! There's one thing more he should've added to his list of items at the end of his closing, Samantha's blood that was found under Rowland's finger nails. No one could've put it there but him. While he was busy trying to clean, scrub, hide, and get rid of evidence, it was seeping deeper under his nails.

It makes you wonder if he had done something like this before. I mean, why? Why did he decide to do this, for what reason? Sick, just sick.
I think he was selling her to a sex trade but she fought like a trooper.
This case broke my heart because no girl who is just beginning to live who had a life ahead of her, come a show and give it to her, it is not fair, my deepest condolences to the parents of one more angel in heaven.
The lack of accountability by the parents is part of what shaped this murderer. They have blood on their hands too.

I’m surprised they didn’t attach a hate crime to this. It wasn’t sexually motivated, they didn’t know each other, what would posses a person to stab another human 120 times? If that isn’t hate, I dont know what is

These cases of these vile predators stalking their prey is just awful…this poor girl it’s so sad that she couldn’t verify he was NOT the Uber she was waiting for, what a God awful situation and horrible mistake!! I hope her family can feel peace someday, I’m not going to say closure because she’s never coming back, but they have their resolution for this part.

It reminds me of the Molly Tibetts case. She just went for a run and got killed, because some evil idiot drivning by, wanted to have sex.

A he told his poor parents he fell asleep at a party, someone took his keys out of his pocket use his car for the murder and brought it back and put the keys back in his pocket. And they believe him HaHa!!

Her blood was all over his clothes and his vehicle. His DNA wasn't under her fingernails. Conclusion? He cleaned her body.
He was wearing a leather jacket with scratches on ut plus multiple other layers. He didn't wash the body.
I wondered about that and thought he cleaned her body too. But she had none of his DNA under her fingernails…. Was she tied up unable to fight back? I’m going to have to watch this whole trial I guess.
@@Bakchoi13 she wasn't tied up. I watched the whole trial. He was wearing multiple layers his leather jacket had scratches on it. They also said her nails were ripped off (some court reporters saying they were cut but I do not recall that being said in court) but never mention if she had fake nails. He was wearing a durag, bandana and a hoodie. Possibly a mask he was seen wearing at the ATM. He was covered barely any skin visible. He had no scratches on him but she fought even leaving her foot print on his window.

All the overwhelming evidence points towards this cowardly, emotionless monster. He had the audacity at sentencing to tell the judge that they should've done a better job investigating. Really? The judge and jury were exemplary. He needs to have the same pain inflicted on him as Samantha experienced. I hope he never sees the light of day.

If Uber and Lyft will Implement a text message feature to send to the customer's phone because phones cannot be cloned anymore so the perpetrator would only have access to the Rideshare app information they would not have access to the special codes that would be texted to the customer's phone the customer would need to confirm that code from the driver before they get in the vehicle that is the best way to keep the customer safe and know for certain it's their driver.

Who knows what Rowland is thinking? Who knows what he was thinking when he did it? Is it important? Does a killer or criminal share their thought process? Not often.
Prosecutor should have made a time and date chart along with the evidence to make it easier for the Jury to connect the evidence to the time.

It’s horrible.. this killer put on a fasaud for his parents, with all the evidence against him how can they not just go ahead and apologize to Samantha s family for what the garbage did to Samantha.
I hope his poor parents have come around now and excepted that he did this ,but why ?Was his motive Money ? Or just hate ?

When police find him car he's raning that is the problem
The evidence in this case was so overly clear and there's no doubt at all that he did this. BUT I do disagree with the prosecution on 1 thing and that's their theory that he was "lurking" watching and waiting for someone vulnerable so he could commit this crime and he sees this young girl who's waiting for an Uber and he makes his move. When I look at the surveillance footage he pulls in the parking lot and she goes to his car and tries getting in the backseat cuz she believes it's her uber. But even when she tried opening his backdoor u can see his car was still moving.. She even had to kinda walk with the car while opening the door and then he finally comes to a complete stop. I don't believe he was waiting for an opportunity to do something. I believe she got into his car and he then realized he had an opportunity and did what he did. I could be totally wrong but I'm just going off what I saw in the footage. His car didn't come to a complete stop as if he was trying to make her think he was the uber driver. Watch the footage and tell me if u agree
