I own a silver white 2011 R56 which I absolutely love driving. Last year I had some major engine related issues and it lost power so I had to park it for weeks. I called up Ben and he was able to diagnose and repair it back to running full power. I have complete confidence in Ben's work... he is the real deal 💯
Great job. I got the gearbox out for a timing kit job. But I forgot to put back the crank sensor plate. The car starts still. Will check for error codes, if any. But i think i might have to remove the gear again to install the plate.
I have a 2005 mini Cooper and I was experiencing the transmission revving and it kind of jumping forward so my husband took it into the shop and they told us that our radiator hose had leaked and dripped on the chip that goes to the transmission, so I’m not a mechanic and know very little about working on cars, but my question is should the chip have a cover on it, so that doesn’t happen. Can you explain that to me because nobody can give me that answer, I feel we’re being ripped off, they fixed it and it’s just over $3,000 dollars 😡
Well now you can just re watch your own video in a year or 2 when you do another one as a refresher. I never did one yet for a mini this was a good refresher for me, got the same problem with my 2010, no forward it will kick in after a little while in standard mode , in drive it hesitates for a good while then it will finally kick in, Hit something a out a hole in the pan lost a lot of fluid on the way home. I was hoping if the fluid was low there wouldn't be pressure against the clutches Picked up another parts car with an automatic for $400 trying to get that out and then put it in my car. Id o have a mid rise lift which helps out a bit. thanks for your knowledge on this journey.
Is it part of the secret handshake of sloshbox brothern that every person who rebuilds transmission makes noise or throw with every part durning disassembly 😅

where did you get a new transmission?
