Golden era or RuneScape at its best, this game used to be so fun, full in Minigames,Pvp,Grand Exchange, World 2 and World 1 used to be full to the top, now a days we see a dead game, Dead worlds, Dead Minigames, Dead pvp... if only they could bring this back, it would be awesome
@Read my channel description Don't think so man, I'd have probably lost membership but the fact that I could remain f2p and still go clan wars, fog and revenant hunting would still keep me logging in on weekends, even if it's just to chat with new people while I do those things...

I was lucky enough to max all my combat skills back when it was still popular to play clan wars, remember leading small groups of players on “flanks” and commanding small ranger groups to harass the main force. Oh the good times, I really wish jagex would open a version of this game back up for us

Are you serious? There is literally an Old school client based on this era of runescape called HDOS which has been available for some time now. You should check it out, it's exactly these graphics and is compatible with Jagex launcher aswell.

This was when I started playing the game, such good f2p memories, wish they would go back to the more gritty/newbie style of things, now it feels way too magical and stuff, magic was rare and amazing, now we have magical shit all over the world.
Currently, Totty is trying to get in contact with JaGeX to see if he could use the 2008-2011 models of RuneScape to further enhanced this HD client as well as give us options to toggle between his HD client and that of the HD of 2008-2011 era with extra features like the weather system on top of that . No luck so far, however I think once this is released and JaGeX sees just how many players that it's bringing in, I have no doubt that JaGeX would eventually let him use their asset. Also, show him your support it would be greatly appreciated I'm sure.
@@Thelaretus 2011 were the days imo and if I have to compare it as how it is now it's still alright, but some updates aren't really updates that I would choose. And they still can improve it by re-updating Old School updates from back in the days. But they won't bother with it. For example like Stealing Creation is a minigame which the community loved to play, but they choose to get Soul Wars a minigame which was abused full with bots... But still I can't complain about that since it's still nostalgia and atleast it's something, because I expected to see no Old School updates anymore. But yeah I guess they're never gonna recreate it since they want to see different content but with the same mechanics but that's obviously not the same feel as how it really was. Also HD quality and Dungeoneering, some awesome quests for example While Guthix Sleeps etc. were updates that I'd love to see in the main game and yes I miss that content. But yeah I'd prefer to play 2011 instead even that I still daily play now.

Played from 05 until eoc and now back on osrs. Jag is supposedly bringing new graphics at some point in the future, as they said when they blocked the Runelite HD plugin release yesterday. If we get osrs with these graphics again, I'd be in nostalgia heaven.
Well, ive switched revision to 614 (2010Scape) now but im still working on it. If you are interested, im currently trying to finish coding all skills (Firemaking, cooking, fishing, woodcutting, fletching and mining are completly coded). At the moment im working on fixing dungeoneering (some bugs) and thieving.
I only had a crappy monitor during this time. But if anyone had a 27” monitor with hardware that could do 60 FPS, that might have been the ultimate experience of a lifetime. These graphics, sounds and music before all this gay spins, Mtx, revolution bs
Funny how RS players begged for OldSchool RS to have the original 2004-2007 graphics, and then bitched for RuneLite HD to be released just because of the better graphics that are basically like this.
