I got chills watching this from the nostalgia. I remember waking up at 7am on weekends as a kid so excited to play RuneScape and castle wars with my friends. The world still felt so unknown and I was such a low level at the time it was amazing.
The world feeling "unknown" was such a huge thing for 10 year old me playing Runescape for the first time. It was my first MMORPG and realistically my first open world RPG in general. I only played F2P and it felt HUGE to me at the time. Now, I understand how freaking tiny that era of F2P Runescape was, but man, it was a world I would (literally) get lost in. That's not a feeling I can get anymore, even with brand new MMORPGs. It's something you can only experience a limited number of times. I had it with Runescape, then later with WoW, but that's it. There's nowhere to go from there that's going to blow anyone's mind after having experienced it a couple times. No matter how good the game may be.
0:14 after the jingle, you can hear the tiniest frame of Sea Shanty 2, I don't even know how I noticed this but I noticed it on the first time I heard it. I have a problem, don't I?
I'll never forget the woodcutting one. Made a few friends back in 2009-2011 that I still am friends with today, because we spent weeks grinding woodcutting to get 99 and talked the whole time. Good memories.

I took so long to level that I thought the sounds differed by seasons - in my defense, some of them sound very festive.... and I took forever to get levels.
Dominque Doty I have 2 lvl ups only for magic skill. It's possible that others are missing, or maybe they added different lvl ups for unlocking new stuff later than 2006 for other skills.

There’s a different jingle when you get a new unlock vs when there isn’t a new unlock.
There’s something about the sound design for runescape that is so unique I just love it :’)
