Does it? Still feels pre-change unless you're rocking absolute best gear. Shouldn't need to sweat so much to get over 20k hits. It's disappointing when necro was easier for the average player

@KodiHammon no, but old t90 should feel like t80 post change. But all they've done is change it for the top 1%. The other 99% won't feel any difference and are just getting a nerf to necro. Why do they never balance it for the bottom 20%. Make it accessible, not sweaty. Doing it wrong constantly.

With the conjures and blood siphon and AOE it's likely to still dominantly see necro... Top 5% of player will use different style Bottom 5% will use different styles The 90% in between will use necro only.

Are special hitcaps on certain bosses like Nex still a thing? Going from having a 75% damage reduction above 2k damage on the last phase to being able to hit anything might be a bit powerful and I'm hoping this mechanic is still intact.
Sounds good! Small part of me, though, is slightly disappointed that they didn't also change movement abilities to not break your pathing. I know there was a mod that showed it off as a game jam project. This rework would've been an awesome time to add it
I like how necromancy isn't nerfed that much, as I really like that style. I actually got a pb on hm zuk just now. So it doesn't really seem to affect that much :)
@@shauns28 don’t think there is a video because it is a recent issue. I thought I was the only one with that issue. Also with the flame curtain Zuk does during waves, the particles that fall from the sky are invisible.
Just wanted to say thanks for these summary/update videos that you release. I'm busy most of the year so these make getting back in to rs3 so much easier.
I AFK bound skeletons in my POSD because you don't need any pots with the right set up, full 15 minute afk. My exp/hr pre update was about 460k/hr, with no revo bar changes after the update its 530k/hr. Meele feels a lot better now.
I can’t wait to try out melee and see how it feels! I’m just an average PvM guy but these changes look to make it much easier to course correct and get better while bossing.
@@SmithCommaBenjaminNot everything has 100% accuracy. It's changed so that if you're below 100% accuracy then you will deal less damage based on the accuracy difference. Necro also works like this, you don't miss but do less damage.

Actually getting similar kill times at kerapac with magic to what they were before they nerfed fractured staff last year, everything feels fantastic overall, but i thought they were going to buff camping the fractured staff? I thought it was going to get one free hit like the special attack grants once every 5 seconds whilst not in the special , or did they just drop that idea entirely? Also noticed i'm hitting close to 10k greater sonic waves.. seems fairly decent now.
Dungeoneering is still broken, btw. 38-44% damage potential on bosses with t99s, praesul curses, and specced into Kinship. It is very difficult to kill Kal'ger the Warmonger in hard mode without dying, even if you spend more time than it takes to clear the entire floor gathering potions and food.
Im sure theres already been requests- but please make a magic guide… im using this opportunity to take off the necro training wheels for HM Zuk on mobile. While im able to survive, im finding it hard to figure out dps. I started scrambling to setup a new combat style 2 days ago when this update dropped and it all feels so overwhelming to try and figure out before the grace period ends.
Am I to understand that ruby bakriminal bolts are now only good at the start of fights and less good at the end, since the extra damage is based off remaining hp and not total hp?
Reducing randomness is exactly what the combat in rs needed. Almost everything in this is good. Good job rs and keep it up after u get sold or we’ll hate u again ✊🏽

Critting in RS felt too different from other RPGs and glad they fixed it. But I didn't like the changes on accuracy. A miss is intended to be a miss. Changing it to damage potential makes attack little different from strength, for example. And considering how the current combat system is intended to feel more dynamic in comparison to OSRS, this change sets a dissonance as well, making it play like an idler would (at least on terms of DMG calculations)
Busy month so I cancelled my subscription to RS, but I’m excited for these changes whenever I can start playing again. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Honestly cannot wait to try it again as soon as they fix an issue with my char dc'ing every few mins. Shame they couldnt also fix the alt - a, also presses a, kind of oddness, but looks way smoother now.

Im someone who quit because learning the combat was way to confusing with cancelling, 4taa, etc, is it easier to come back? if so could you create a coming back to rs3 combat guide, beginner to veteran series maybe? i was just finally getting the hang of completing ed1 or 2 myself. did 3 solo once but its a heavy struggle
I want to get back into the game one day, but I'm completely overwhelmed by all the new things... I believe I quit a bit after the mining and smiting rework. As a revolution player, I couldn't kill any of the endgame bosses or mechanical bosses. But these new updates make me believe I can try. Any updated guides out there for returning/new players?
I don't have many ability greater unlocks. Are they always permanent upgrades? Thinking about that greater fury, would you ever want to turn it off for normal fury if you ever needed/wanted the faster cool down?

For the purpose of determining what type of impact it has on its player base and revenue. At the very least players that choose (for whatever reason) to use revo or legacy should pay less for membership as their choice of gameplay gives less results.
Necro got the early bird bonus and slowly killed the game. Jagex turns around and brings the rest of the combat styles up to date. Damage has been done IMO but its nice that they still finally leveled the playing field. I haven't played in over a year but your videos are always a nice showcase if people decide to return 👍

I'm okay with Necro getting a slight DPS decrease, it's already a way "simpler" combat to use and requires far less gp investment to get BIS. High-level play with other skills should be rewarded, which is what seems to have happened here.
After not playing right before necromancy release. I can delete previous knowledge, learn new stuff again and itll be very fresh contents for me waiting.
I would love to see a guide on Melee, Magic and Ranged similar to the necromancy guide you did a few months ago.
This would be huge, we could really use this with such a big shakeup, to borrow on a much more experienced player's understanding.

Same as before, raises accuracy, accuracy is still important.

Equilibrium is replaced by eruptive which is a flat .5% damage buff per tier

Afaik they still want to give the FSOA a passive, but couldn't get something they liked in time for this update.

did the freedom / anticipation off GCD get scrapped from the beta or are they just not bringing it in this update?
Might come back in the future, but anti was also used for adren building, so it wasn't great to make it off gcd

Eruptive should be about the same/slightly better than Equilibrium was, so perk priority should be unchanged.

ability codices are always permanent upgrades. Yoou probably won't as gfury is very strong, and melee has enough basics to use otherwise.
Normal fury has the same 15s cooldown now
