If mutual fund companies aiming higher return for short term, then they may be aiming higher return every year. Because they want new customers every time. But there are some exceptions to my point i. e., some of the mutual fund shut down. We have to track the data so that we can figure out which mutual funds shut down recently and the concerned person /companies to that funds. So that we can avoid them.

Doesn’t work like that , everyone has different risk appetite. I have invested too much on small cap mutual funds but I won’t recommend this to anyone because i can handle more risk

There's a simple formula for this
100 - your age = % investment in equity
and the rest in debt
100 - ur age is a generic formula...but each individual's risk appetite is different...so based on that decide ur allocation.
Thanks. I am aware about it. I found that this way is not a complete method. maintaing a fixed percentage by adjusting the amount we hold in euity and debt after some time of holding is a good approach... I wanted some elaborate information about this balancing technique from Pranjal sir.
