Mutual fund can be judged with their past performance & performance if the Fund Manager. The effective the Fund manager is the effective your growth will be.
To find non performing funds, you keep on analysing your portfolio at least once in a year (for M.F). This way you keep on rebalancing your portfolio in YOY basis.
