ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

The feet are not the issue here, the real problem is the crappy glider. It would be better if Hasbro just sculpted a new glider with pegs sticking out so the feet could fit securely.

admittedly, i was bummed out seeing this figure when it was revealed but that doesn't mean others won't like it. Let's all remember that every figure is SOMEONE'S favorite!

I'm so glad they made a new one. Not everyone can afford a $200 hobgoblin from 6 years ago. Even if the details way less I'm just glad I have one.

As someone who grew up with Spider-Man the animated series I never liked the look of the previous hobgoblin figure and I'm really glad they put out a more show accurate version.. looks way better. I'll definitely be picking this up along side the silver armor Spider-Man figure
I Also like this firgure. He's about 23 dollars on amazon. Same price as the retro Ben reilly. But just be aware its gonna be a tough time getting him on the glider.
I like this version, reminds me of the old secret wars hobgoblin figure I had as a kid

This was actually a huuuge win for me. I missed out on the old one and I actually prefer this color scheme waaaay more than the originals. Admittedly I like some of the old molds parts like the gloves and the pointy shoes but this one looks just fine to me. Got it in hand today and I love it! My only gripe is the placement of the feet slots on the glider. Really hard to get them to hang on to his feet. Other than that I think it’s great!
I was actually pretty excited when I finally saw this guy at Target, up until that point they only had a bunch of Hammerhead and Shocker. I have the other Hobgoblin and absolutely I agree, the older figure is much , much better in every way. I have always intended to get this figure if I saw one in person and I'm keeping it on the card. The card art is so bright and colorful and I think he's going to look fantastic on the wall next to the retro Mysterio figure. Very happy with him because I'm using him more as decoration than an actual figure to play with.
I would liked this iigure if it was an actual animated Hobgoblin, with a proper head, cape and glider
I was REEEEALLY hoping for a new headsculpt! Still, glad I'm gonna finally have a Hobgoblin figure for my collection!
The hobgoblin does disappoint me as my only hobgoblin figure, and what I did to make it better was because the head can come out of the hood, I gave it a brown wash and then painted more red around the eye area to make them much bigger looking and traced around it with black and it looks much better

I FINALLY got mine from bbts after pre-ordering it right after announcement, and I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised by it after all the bad reviews. The fact that the cowl hood isnt attached and moves around is what really saved it for me. I agree about the gun, at least a gun hand would have been nice.

After seeing the new Animated Green Goblin, I really hope they do a second version of this one. One with a new accurate head sculpt and the correct animated glider like GG is gonna have. Hobgoblin was a major antagonist in the series and deserves the same detail as GG
4:16 They're also designed backward. If you compare them to the Warlock wave Jim Lee Cyclops, you'll see that the muscle sculpts are reversed. Do the shoulders attach to the torso like the Demogoblin BAF?
Most people didn't like this one but I think its pretty dope. I missed out on the first one and the bright colors look sick under my leds on my spidey shelf.

I kinda see this hobgoblin design as the one from the spiderman ride at universal. I'm not a fan of the glider but the figure just gives me dumb joy.

Hasbro should just make a fan channel Sinister Six boxset at this point. Making them in parts scattered around in random lines and different waves is just annoying and tedious.
Alternatively, they could re issue Electro, Sandman, and Mysterio like how they did the retro Storm, Rogue, and Gambit for target, but on all fan channels. Then give us Vulture, Doc Ock, and Kraven again, but in the retro line to give them all that uniform-esque look.
Personally, I think they would make a lot more money off the individual re-releases, because a box set would mean we might get doubles of certain characters, so less people would want to pay for a figure they already have.
Side note: I know Sandman was practically just released, but once the rest come out he'd be in short supply, with an increased demand to complete the original team.
I hope we see Hobgoblin in MCU
Dude, this is my first hobgoblin figure, super happy to have it i am. & he came with A GLIDER!! hell yea! in my book anyhow(this is the first review ive strongly disagreed with)
So I still had the base body from the toybiz Amazing Spider-Man Hobgoblin minus the hood, glider, satchel, and pumpkin, so I took all of those accessories off of this figure and put them on that body and its a pretty dope looking Hobgoblin.

6. Hobgoblin - good colors, disproportionate glider, no scale/chain mail
5. Mark 1 - good actually, just in the middle of is it a retro or gaming figure
4. Hammerhead - good details, suit could have been opened, could use more accessories
3. Shocker - no lines but it also works perfectly without it, the knees are of different color to the rest of the body
2. Ben reilly - nice articulation, head swap is so good with unmasked and I have no MAFEX of it yet haha
1. Symbiote - even if not sure its symbiote or black suit everything about it is phenomenal

Who cares, they clearly prefer the chain mail. They’re just comparing the figures. This line has next to nothing in common with the 90s cartoon besides the box art.

I just realized it took you a while to review this hobgoblin from the wave same you did the same with Green Goblin from the first retro wave. Man thoses goblins have to wait the longest.

I was excited for this figure since I never got a Hobgoblin figure before but I was disappointed with it after I got it. Not just because of the glider but I have trouble rotating the arms on my copy that even running them under hot water didn't help. They can move but just not that well and it bothers me
Hit it with the hottest option on a hair dryer. Water can actually fuck up the molecular structure of plastic.
I missed the last one, so this works for me. My only gripe is the glider, I had to cut the bands to get it to stay on his feet. Plus it's the wrong model, the one he had in the cartoon looked more like the one that came with the Green Goblin. I did get him to hold the pumpkin bomb though, I wedged his index finger through that groove in the flame and it's pretty secure.
Hobgoblin is my favorite kind of Spider-Man like green goblin
I need hogoblin but I can't put this in my collection I hope mafex does one with a proper glider .
i have an older Marvel Legends Hob Goblin figure with wide eyes and an open mouth (Amazing Spider-man wave, series 17) and i stll like the head sculpt much more than this new one.
Yeah, it's definitely a downgrade from the previous Hobgoblin, though I do like the bright orange better than the darker orange.
But this was supposed to be the animated series hobglobin if u watch the series this is almost identical to his body in the show just not the face..

I think a nice part with this fig is the hood is a separate piece so u can put a un masked hobgoblin. Also I do like bright colours on him but ya not the best but I missed out on the 1st 1 but he'll replace my demon hobgoblin toybiz fig in my spidy villain self

I kinda had buyers remorse the feet don’t fit in the glider and the torso seems very bright yellow. He also doesn’t hold the pumpkin bombs.
First awesome figure review keep up the great reviews second i only have 2 figures from this wave i have Ben Reily Spider-man and Hobgoblin i have to say that this figure is really good. My top 6 would be 1 Ben Reily Spider-man 2 Black Suit Spider-man 3 Shocker 4 The Spider Armor 5 Hobgoblin 6 Hammerhead peace!!
Absolute pass! 3 waves in, I feel like this line of figures isn't for me, a lot of them feel like cheap repaints and it doesn't know if it wants to be the animated series or the comic, kinda reminds me of the playmates classic collection which were great at the time, until we got the neca versions that ended up being far superior. Next to Diamond who do great Spidey figs, I wish there wasn't a tight grip master license on Marvel, kinda like how we have different companies doing TMNT, Power Rangers etc.

I kinda just wanted a brighter repaint of the space knight version. Maybe with Jason macendale, Roderick Kingsley, and lefty Donovan headsculpts.

It’s funny. I have the older, better one. But when I got the animated Green Goblin from the pack with MJ, I found myself wanting this one to pair up with it. Figured he might be cheaper now, but nope, still retail or above. I dig him. His feet suck for the glider tho.

Idk.....I have him as well and like you said he is fashioned from the Spider-man:TAS. I agree that the Hobgoblin (Space Venom wave) is 💯% better (of which i have as well). Yeah 9 year bucky cap gloves and boots 😑 just got baron zemo and he's great but why the bucky cap legs? The knee joints on him feel flimsy, oh but they gave him pinlees elbows why couldn't we get pinless knees too?

Hobgoblin in the animated series was awesome (He's voiced by Mark Hamill, automatic thumbs up from me). This figure, not so much. This figure is one case where I think i would have preferred cel-shading.

Glider is way too freaking small. Pisses me off. Thinking about widening it myself like it should be

I don't have a hobgoblin for my action figure Shelf space Venom wave I do however have two demogoblin I think I'll pick this up Goblin up in the future just so I have a Hobgoblin I've been very interested in the villains from this wave

I just feel like they should've redone the glider like make it a lot more bigger because that's kinda one of the problems from the last hobgoblin figure we had.

I like the Hobgoblin figure, I think it's okay, But I am happy with the retro Green Goblin because in my opinion, Green Goblin is better then o'l Hobby, Also I don't have this wave, I'm still going to get the retro Ben Reilly Spiderman and my ranking of the wave is....

I got this Hobglobin cuz I missed out the original release. And man did Hasbro drop the ball here, that OG one looks so much better than this. Also these damn gliders definetly need an upgrade.
