ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I haven't seen anybody talking about the tentacles having the "nanotech" parts sculpted into them, they are there, just not painted, so this totally IS a no way home figure

Can't wait for the stock to start arriving in Blighty... The strength in those tentacles is great, and I really love the likeness of Alfred Molina (who I thought was excellent in both movies)!
And kudos to you Shartimus for reminding everyone that old Toybiz can still give present-day Hasbro a run for their money (I still think the Toybiz Luke Cage is better than Hasbro's recent release of "Mr Blank Stare")...

never understood what people like about doc ock. he is a fat old guy with metal back tentacles. and he shouldn’t be able to fight spider-man because he has normal human durability. one punch would kill him.
Comic version goes down in one hit, supposed to use his arms to keep Spiderman at bay and Spidey holds back so he only knocks out bad guys

The arms can block spiderman and an average person would not be able to utilize the arms like Ock does

Man the single point of articulation on the pincers kinda sucks. Im fine with the figure having less articulation but i wanted the tenticals to be perfect.
Man low key disappointed was hoping this would be like the toy biz detail type of deal but upgraded we got this one feels like we went back I’m time with this in the sense of detail and articulation how is it that the new one has nothing but the old ones have detail etc etc I just wish they combined the elements of the toy biz to same thing but way better updates type deal
The Doc Ock marvel legends figure is a Spider-man: No way home figure. The design of Doc Ock is based off of No way home but they had to market it as a Spider-man 2 figure because they didn’t have Alfred Molina’s rights to make a No way home action figure. They used his rights all the way back from 2004 to make this figure and that’s why it’s labeled as Spider-man 2 and not Spider-man: No way home.
Soft goods would’ve been nice for this Doc Ock figure so he’ll have stable articulation.

Didnt octavious hav a black turtle neck when peter first met him when he introduces his wife and says peter isnt punctual I feel like I remember him in a turtle neck then
He does wear a turtleneck in that scene, but it wasn't black it was burgundy. That doesn't matter, though. After he becomes Doc Ock and has his signature look/costume on, he doesn't wear a turtleneck. He is bare-chested. He sometimes zips up the inner brown trench coat so his chest is covered, as Shartimus mentions, but he has nothing on underneath.

What do you use to heat them up
Hair dryer, sometimes you can use hot water but I wouldn't recommend that unless you want to take him a part. Water might rust the bendy wire in his tentacles.

If Toybiz had given their figure longer tentacles that would have made that a better figure. I had originally intended bonding two sets but that never happened. I’m looking forward to the Hasbro one.
I love this figure he is the perfect movie Doc Ock figure (not including Hot Toys) in my opinion but my only issue with it and it could just be me doing something wrong wall posing him but HE ALWAYS FALLS OVER NO MATTER WHAT I DO!!! 😭

I had an idea for a mod for this figure for the arm claws on the top set. Basically, drill two holes where the arms articulate in the movie, cut the joint and add a pin. Boom, full articulated claws

Shart, I loved Molina’s Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2, but I haven’t read too many comics where he’s a main character. I’m curious what your gripes are with Spider-Man 2?
So am I! Molina’s Doc is my favorite big screen comic book villain, but I could see how a die hard comics fan could be somewhat disappointed.
If you want good doc ock reads, I recommend Superior Spiderman, Amazing spiderman 131, and Web of spiderman 4-5. Doc Ock isn't really sympathetic like Molina's version and is usually a straight up tool. But these stories explore his mind and way of thinking really well
Im waiting for Marvel Legends to make a No Way Home Electro and Lizard because we have Doc, Green Goblin, and Sandman

Good figure but not worth $40 IMO
My bottom right arm came out of the package loose and he couldn't stand up, then when I looked at it more, it was broken. The plastic had started to tear. Pretty disappointed in the quality from some figures lately

I used to have the Spider-Man 2 version when I was younger as kid and the robot arm tore my finger up because someone pulled it out of my hand. By tore I mean the armature tore off enough to see cartilage.
Is it possible to remove the plastic coat? Without removing or breaking the handles. I'm thinking of dressing in fabric instead of a plastic coat.

This figure is my most anticipated figure from NWH. The tentacles are beyond awesome in terms of size, but the old ToyBiz claws are definitely better, i wonder if there might be a way to swap them. With the exception of Doc Ock, they already have hit Target and Walmart stores. People have been finding the No Way Home figures for a couple of weeks now or more.

We all know that a proper SM2 Ock should be bare chested. Enough of us had that old Toy Biz figure (I had 2 as a kid, one of which I customized to be a shirtless variant)
I really love the figure and I really wish it and I really wish it came with two pair of tentacles one is the tentacles that has the iron spider nanotechnology that he ripped out of the front of the suit and another pair is the one with the white light to replicate that our Peter Parker cure Doc Ock by fixing his inhibitor chip that was damaged in Spider-Man 2.

Nah, I think they're just the right length. If they were any longer, it would be kind of ridiculous and take up a lot of space on the shelf.
Shart goes a bit too hard imo on lots of really good figures we probably wouldnt of gotten 5 years ago , im still confused why you think poison ivy looks nothing like umma Thurman when it very much for 25$ figire does, and doc occ obviously doesn't have his shirt off cause of his age, ur really that confused why he has the turtle neck from earlier in the sm2 film , he is but , how do we know that doc occ didnt have a turtle neck on in his universe, we are under the assumption he and tobey as well as osborn are from the sam raimi movies but it isnt that exact universe, due to the rights and canon staying un meddlesome so, the original movies canon stay in tact,.
Basically this doc occ and greensy are from a nearly identical universe as the raimi trilogy
