Hello. Came over from The Walkers channel. That's a lot of baby chicks. I have baby Pekin ducks for the first time. They grow so much quicker than chicks. Those are great incubators. Have a restful evening.
Just placed my order with Lynn from Indiv farm supply! Used your code saved $53.32! Thanks for your help! Lynn was awesome helped me with all supplies! I got candler now I need pig marker! Lol
@@The.Recreational.Homestead Hahaha 🤣 I’m definitely hooked on ABC! Definitely tell anyone who asks to call you guys! If we hit mega million tonight I’ll be in contact we will buy big farm and raise chicks and give them away! I’ll buy the boys big tractors
Add a few breeds that always sell premium? Manx rumpies or croad langshans, orientails , or even basic blue laying Americanuas demand a premium and back order. I love buckeyes they really mice in your yard, wish they had more following
@@The.Recreational.Homestead YES. Clean eggs with Tek Trol from Hogslat or can buy online. Before hatch. Make sure solution is 100 degrees (hotter than the eggs from the incubator). In the incubator, add either a splash of chorine, a T of acv, or peroxide every few days to keep bacteria down in the incubator (only incubate clean eggs). In the hatcher, use peroxide/water at 50 50 ratio. Adds oxygen to the air for the chicks and kills bacteria. Should see 80% hatch from start to finish (hen to hatcher).
@@The.Recreational.Homestead the hatch rates went up a lot. At first we were only using chlorine, same as you would for sanitizing water on a trip: a few drops per liter. Hatch rates went up from 45-55% start to hatch, to 65-80% beginning to end (from set to hatch). Also, the hatch rate of fertile, developed eggs in the hatcher increased and the chicks were not sticking as bad, they hatched faster, less umbilical issues (1 out of 200 chicks instead of 10)
@@The.Recreational.Homestead YES. The hatcher smell alone was worth it! More chicks and they hatch faster, less sticky chicks. Germ load is less, oxygen is way more. In the incubators, we use about 1 cup or so per gallon of res. water at 99.5, 30-45% humidity. Hatch rate went from 30% up to 75% in a three week period, now it is normal to see total hatch from set to hatcher to chicks at about 80-85%. Well worth it, and like I said, the smell dropped to almost nil.
WIth out doubt, the best explanation and video tour of incubators.....thank you! I really appreciate your excitement and enthusiasm.

Wow. Nice. That sounds like an incubator that's worth it having good hatch rates for that quantity of eggs.

What is the website to order from? Thanks!!
Nice. Bet they work great. $860 for a 60 egg incubator is a little steep
That’s why you should just go up a couple sizes, if your going to be selling chicks you want to at least start with the SH370
Cost for. 1000. Egg. Incubator
Do you add chlorine, peroxide, or acv to your incubator/hatcher water?
No I don’t, do you have luck with that?

Your using peroxide 3% mixed half and half with water in the Hatcher?
