On the topic of old RPGs, I've always wondered why the 3-player TRG channel has not yet done secret of mana and secret of mana 2 playthroughs. You had one (or most of one) on your own channel Tim, so I always assumed you'd be interested in that. Do the other two not really like SoM and don't really want to play it or is it something that may happen at some point in the future?
Trying a new thing for this series! Illusion of Gaia will be on an upload schedule, so you can expect to see NEW episodes every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday! Let me know what you think of having a schedule like this!
I like the schedule. The regularity, if someone is looking for a particular series, can remind them when an episode will be coming out. It is a good idea, and I look forwards to more of this game in particular!
My wife, who wasn't paying attention, immediately screamed with joy when this video started after hearing the main theme, we're both really excited to watch the whole thing!
My dude if you're a peasant in a kingdom and guards come in your house, where it turns out the princess who was missing is, that's some real ass danger.
I am already eager for the last episode, just because I want to see Jared's reaction to the ending. I'm sure he's played it hundreds of times, but the ending gets me every time.
I love this game too. This game is the reason I learned a bit of english very early on. I live in germany and so most of the games I play are in german. For whatever reason I had an english version of this game as a kid but that didn't stopped me from playing it.
I never finished watching this series when it was new, and then the ProJared fanbase mutiny of May 2019 happened. Now that the mutiny has ended, I’m more than happy to get a fresh start and enjoy this series.
I love this game, it was always one of my favorites and bought it from a used video game store that was going out of business when I was a kid. Was also funny I was watching an older video of yours that had the town theme going and instantly went "Oh hey Illusion of Gaia town theme." which caused my roommate to slowly look at me and go "....what a selective memory you have"
I was really excited to see this being played, I have fond memories of watching my cousin play through this game, I dont think I ever saw him play late game but it still makes me warm inside thinking of those times
I had a strong urge to watch something related to Illusion of Time again, as I don‘t own it. Then I remembered that this LP existed. So: Second watch time here I come. Hope we‘re gonna see Terranigma someday, too.
Thanks Jared for starting this series! This is exactly the kind of content I like to see from you! This game was one of those I played as a kid and really loved but never got to revisit when I was an adult (I just forgot it existed) so I'm really glad you're going to play the whole game through!
I absolutely love this game, I knew it as Illusion of Time. One of the best games on the SNES, the collaboration you did with Jirard is how I found your channel actually! I would be so excited to see you play all three.
Oh shit I kind of want to cry. This was one of my f-a-v-o-r-i-t-e games as a young teen. I loved this game. Enjoyed the hell out of it. I'm so excited to watch this playthrough! Illusion of Gaia, Arcana, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Evermore were kind of my go-to jams back in the day.
Oh my god, Jared... I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw this thumbnail... Thank you thank you for playing this. I cannot wait to watch you and listen to your unique take on this wonderful game. Thank you again for playing this wonderful classic.
This was one of my favorite games as a kid, although I was never very good at it XD I always felt like I was the only kid who had this game or knew what it was, glad to see it held such a special place in your heart too ProJared! :D
Oh nice ^^ i actually finished this game last year after so many years i've known it. When i started to emulate things in 2006 this was one of the games that i happened to download together a bunch of classic snes game. Super happy that you're playing this and showing it to other people :3
Absolutely play Terranigma please, that game is a masterpiece. Illusion of Gaia is really great too. Actually never played Soul Blazer, would be fun to see that too.
Dionysus24779 The Granstream Saga on the PSOne is often considered apart of the soul blazer series. The main reason why I think people don't include it is because it's not that good (it's not as either, just mediocre imo). But the story is pretty okay and fits the themes and motifs of the series and it was made by the same people.
YES. I am so happy that you're playing this game! It always felt like this game was such an underappreciated SNES game. I loved this game so much growing up, even though I never found all 20 red gems in all the times I played the game...
Also released under the title "Illusion of Time" in Europe, this was the first action-rpg I played. Seeing how that was about over two decades now this really is a nostalgia rush.
Jared, just in case you did not know, I remember that if you select red jewels on the inventory and hit select button again, gems will magically fly to the collectionist. Can save up a lot of time finding him or when the inventory is full. You have to find him anyway to claim the reward.
Holy shit I just finished this game on my quest to finish the "trilogy" (finally gonna play Terranigma next). I loved this game and SoulBlazer before it. Can't wait to watch you play more of this. As for the schedule itself, it works for me. I've always been on the side of you uploading stuff on your terms.
When I played this game as a kid, I always thought the doors in town looked like bars of chocolate and used to joke that the townspeople and you eat the doors to get inside and have to constantly replace them . Still can't unsee that.
Illusion of Gaia was the first Super Nintendo game I got when I was a kid. This game holds a special place in my heart. It's awesome seeing projared play this game can't wait to watch it to the end.
Woo Illusion of Gaia! I played through this on my own channel, finishing up recently. I love this game. It means a lot to me. I didn’t play this game until I was in high school, when a friend introduced me to it and let me borrow his game. He passed away later that year. So this game reminds me of him. :)
Yeah I have had a lot of experiences like that life can be very strange or somber sometimes. I did a stream of that awhile ago but it was bad quality so I will have to do another stream of it sometime. also cool channel .
I've rented this SO MANY TIMES AS A KID, but I could never beat it. I always got stuck on the Atlantis (?) stage with the buggering maze, and that dratted dual boss with that countdown timer. I never found the portal in that dungeon, so I never got the INTENDED WAY TO TACKLE THE BOSS. Also lost so many green herbs there. So many. I will be here. Patiently. Waiting for you to beat this. I NEED TO SEE THE END, JARED. SHOW ME THE END.
The whole "Ma'am" thing was actually a translation error. In the original version our hero practically called the queen an old woman. I also cannot express how happy I am that you do this project.
Hell yeah, one of my favorite games growing up, though it was called Illusion of Time here in Europe for some reason. Also, way to sweeten us up on Hamlet :p
I've answered your research form saying that I didn't expect you to guess which nostalgic games I missed while growing. But you, Sir, surprised me by guessing it magnifically. I did played Illusion of Gaia back then, but I got a French version and didn't managed to go much further into the game. Keep up the good work!
I really like the idea of the chosen one having Darkness powers! And for the time this came out, this had to be a super unique thing that hadn’t really been done all that much, so I am all for it
Oh sweet nostalgia! I played through this so many times with the Nintendo Power guide handy as a kid in order to find all 50 of the special collectibles, but I somehow was always missing one by the end of the game, despite following the guide. I realized years later it was a misprint or omission on Nintendo Powers’ part and felt vindicated when I finally got them all, thanks instead to the interwebs.
I actually own this game but didn't grow up with it- I knew it was good but I didn't know where to start, so I'm SUPER glad you're playing it to get me inspired to play it! Thank you!
Oh dear God, yes. Bring it.
It seems you have RAN AWAY from Emile and Jon for the moment.
On the topic of old RPGs, I've always wondered why the 3-player TRG channel has not yet done secret of mana and secret of mana 2 playthroughs. @Thornback did you forget this comment? I feel like you forgot this comment.
Trying a new thing for this series! Illusion of Gaia will be on an upload schedule, so you can expect to see NEW episodes every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday! Let me know what you think of having a schedule like this!
I noticed there wasn't a note at the beginning of the video after all...
YESS, I ADORE THIS GAME!
I like the schedule a lot! It works well for longer, more story based series' like this.
I like the schedule. The regularity, if someone is looking for a particular series, can remind them when an episode will be coming out. It is a good idea, and I look forwards to more of this game in particular!
I like predictable upload schedules. I like knowing what to look forward to each day and it allows for easy management of multiple playthroughs.
My wife, who wasn't paying attention, immediately screamed with joy when this video started after hearing the main theme, we're both really excited to watch the whole thing!
Just becareful he does not steal her :p
@@breakzxz648 I was hoping to find someone from the future
@@retrokid6446 I am still hoping to find someone from the future.
@@nintenders7985 yeah I made this comment before the video he made, looks dumb in retrospect
That was some real danger music for two guards doing their jobs...
My dude if you're a peasant in a kingdom and guards come in your house, where it turns out the princess who was missing is, that's some real ass danger.
Not really danger, it later becomes "normal" music anyway. Seems kinda right for the situation of two heavily armed men in your house. =P
So I just watched you play Delta Rune and now this - DR quotes the "Even moss drinks water" line
I am already eager for the last episode, just because I want to see Jared's reaction to the ending. I'm sure he's played it hundreds of times, but the ending gets me every time.
Jared playing an RPG he really loves? HELL YES
I love this game too. This game is the reason I learned a bit of english very early on. I live in germany and so most of the games I play are in german. For whatever reason I had an english version of this game as a kid but that didn't stopped me from playing it.
The part with the Nazca Lines had me stuck for sooooo damn long.
I never finished watching this series when it was new, and then the ProJared fanbase mutiny of May 2019 happened. Now that the mutiny has ended, I’m more than happy to get a fresh start and enjoy this series.
This is my favorite Snes game ever! thanks!
This playthrough is so charming and wonderful that I'm rewatching it immediately after it finished. This town theme is super soothing.
Kara: You look a little shabby.
Will: Well EXCCCCUUUUSSSSEEE MEEEEE Princess!
I remember watching my stepbrother play this back in the mid 90’s. This made my day thanks ProJared!
I plan on cosplaying Lily and Kara someday.
Oh my GOD YES. I have so many memories of this game as a kid, and I can't wait to see you play it dude.
I love this game, it was always one of my favorites and bought it from a used video game store that was going out of business when I was a kid. Ohhhh Jared dude please tell me you gonna do a whole playthrough of this? This game was the shit back in the day one of my fav
1.- Thank you for making a schedule.
2.- Please, do pkay Terranigma
Oh my god, this game was one of my absolute favorites growing up. I'm glad someone I enjoy watching finally decided to play it on their channel!
I was really excited to see this being played, I have fond memories of watching my cousin play through this game, I dont think I ever saw him play late game but it still makes me warm inside thinking of those times
Jared + RPG + passion = Best content.
This is one of my favorite games on SNES, just like you Jared. I really hope you play this all the way through, I'm so excited!
I had a strong urge to watch something related to Illusion of Time again, as I don‘t own it. Then I remembered that this LP existed. So: Second watch time here I come. Hope we‘re gonna see Terranigma someday, too.
In Germany the game has been renamed to "Illusion of time" for some unknown reason.
I look fondly on this play through so many years ago.
Lets give it a second watch to see if the feels come back
Thanks Jared for starting this series! This is exactly the kind of content I like to see from you! This game was one of those I played as a kid and really loved but never got to revisit when I was an adult (I just forgot it existed) so I'm really glad you're going to play the whole game through!
I still tear up hearing the ending music and remembering how it ends. Thank you for playing this, so many great memories :)
This is also my favorite SNES games, and the wave of nostalgia that hit me when I saw it on here was pretty huge.
I absolutely love this game, I knew it as Illusion of Time. One of the best games on the SNES, the collaboration you did with Jirard is how I found your channel actually! I would be so excited to see you play all three.
HEY! I bought this game earlier in the year and beat it at the end of May, it's pretty great for what it is! Glad your playing it!

Such a satisfying *thump* when you whack an enemy.
I've never heard of Arcana, but those other games are all great so I may have to check that out...
I loved all of those as well, Arcana included.
This is exactly the kind of thing I asked for! i'm so happy to see this. I am gonna watch every episode of this that you put out. I am so hype.
ILLUSION OF GAIA!!!!!!!!!! Man, I played so much of this game when I was little tyke, kinda want to play along with your videos now.
i never got around to this one, so I'm glad you'll be going through it with us!
This was one of my favorites too! Secret of Mana and Earthbound are legendary SNES RPGs too!
My friend Erik lives in an earthbound village.
It's true 😆
I love this game so much. The music gives me feels.

I hope this will played until the end because i never saw it and would love jared play it all the way :3
Heinz I’d imagine this is one he will see through til the end. This doesn’t seem like a game he’d stop part way through.
You should see the smile on my face right now! I love this game! So underrated.
"I am Gaia"
Dude, I just got flashbacks to SpaceHamster's video, E.V.O.
i love when he does these old rpg's they're so fun
This was one of my favorite games as a kid, although I was never very good at it XD I always felt like I was the only kid who had this game or knew what it was, glad to see it held such a special place in your heart too ProJared! :D
This is so nostalgic for me. My brothers and I loved this game growing up!
Oh wow, this one brings back MEMORIES. Have fun Jared!
Illusion of Gaia is actually my favorite RPG of all time. I adore this damn game.
I loved it all! Seeing Jared making all the voices differently its already proof how he loves this game! Can't wait for more :D
This is one of my favorite SNES games, excited to see a playthrough and hear your thoughts on it!
OMG all the feelings right now. Thank you so much for playing this Jared!
This is one of my favorite JRPGs of all time-- I have quite a personal collection of merch, too. I haven't watched you before, but I just subbed! :)
Illusion of Gaia!?
Oh hell yeah! I need to play this myself, and it looks so fun!
Oh wow, I’ve always heard good things about this game, but I never knew the mechanics looked this interesting! Look forward to future episodes. 💕

Absolutely play Terranigma please, that game is a masterpiece.
Illusion of Gaia is really great too. Actually never played Soul Blazer, would be fun to see that too.
Soulblazer is great too. Actually my favorite of the 3. Has a bit of Actraiser's "world rebuilding" aspect to it.
The character in Soulblazer was sent by the Master. Always assumed that it was the same one from Actraiser.

This is one of my favorite games of all time, and in the top 3 on the Snes, right up there with Chrono Trigger and Earthbound.
YES. I am so happy that you're playing this game! It always felt like this game was such an underappreciated SNES game. I loved this game so much growing up, even though I never found all 20 red gems in all the times I played the game...

Oh christ you're right... it's been too long. ;) I always remembered finding all but one of them and being very frustrated as a child.

It's not under appreciated, this game is adored and praised to high heaven by the retro community.
Now, sure. At the time it was released though (and like... the ten years after) I swear barely anybody else had ever heard of this game.
This was a great game and I enjoyed it a lot when I was younger, thanks for the trip down memory lane. Love the commentary
