What do you crusader players out there feel is easier to climb the ranked ladder playing - carry or support?
Im archon easy to climb as midlane
I was a crusader back in 2014. Its easy to climb with aggresive supports.
pos 4/5 easier
every rank season I get crusader then rank to archon via support fast. but then that's my trench.

This videoseries should be the requirement for ranked, not 100afk hours in turbo. I swear everyone needs these perspectives.
both when I play support and when I play carry, I face these situations alot, you leave your carry for 1min to stack/pull or get the bountie, carry dies and flames you for the rest of the game.
Even worse when you play carry and you get 1-2 exp-spunges on your lane insted of letting you get that soloexp and farm.
Example: toplane is losing, my support is like, dude I'm safe sitting here eating your exp, I won't TP top. result= pos4 also comes bottom, I get punished the most and enemy carry get's freefarm both in kills and creeps on toplane.
"It was a different time in dota" so true, back in like 2017 I remember my supports in like 2.5k not pulling or warding in majority of games, the skill average of the game was a lot lower
Yeap im 1k but like 90% of my supps are pulling unless its a kill lane then we run down the enemy

This is by far my most favorite dota2 series! Been playing since 2012 and I have always wondered how hard is was to learn this game to get up to a decent level.

14:10 Thank you. This is an issue I encountered so many times in my bracket. I ended up with supports who fuck my creepblocks up, or use their AOE abilities in a way that pushes the lane out. They leech EP. This Video is perfect. It perfectly points out all the little flaws&mistakes an unexperienced Support player often does in the laningstage, but doesn't notice them, making the laning phase for the carry alot more difficult.

BTW i recommend this coaching sessions with eri other than any other tutorials/coaching from other channels. so much to learn.
The only negative thing about this is now I know what to do is to actually doing it and in my case its my teammates that dont want to listen. By teammates I mean my friends. I never/rarely solo queue.
I think, those first 25mins was actually one of the most helpful information ive seen so far, no joke. I'll also try to apply that in midlane :D
btw, if you have no camp to pull (mid), and the enemy is aggroing their creeps to the ranged as well, you just try to deny your ranged faster than they do, right?

@@mateoheredia5737 more to do with playing Pos 4 outplaying people in ganks and getting kills to transition into a core.
Eg.Crit for example plays core 1/3 of his games while 50% of his Pos 4 games he either has equal or more networth/farm as the Pos 3.
Only Pos 5 I know in top 100 rank is DuBu and he spams the most broken heros like Undying, he also plays Pos 4 and not too mention his most played hero in ranked is Alchemist Midlane.

At around 38:10 Ari mentions this technique i’d often thought existed, because i’d watched pro players games who looked to be doing something like this, but i wasn’t able to look for because I didn’t know what it was called. Press attack move, stop for faster farming. Could you explain or maybe do a video on this? Or even suggest a video on this and clarify what this technique is called. I already know to cancel back swing by moving with right click immediately after attack but my understanding is there is a more efficient way to do this with hotkeys?

question: When i defensively creep aggro i find myself to far away then from the enemy ranged creep to get the LH. if i try to go get it i also might miss a melee creep

The problem of dota is the smurfs, not the players at the level, the learning of mechanics but the smurfs. I don't think is fair to have someone 8k mmr playing in my calibration.
I used to be almost an ancient and dropped to crusader in less than 2 months literally positive on all stats.

not true i play pos 5 and im 5k now.
I played pos 5 occasionally when im tired of playing 1. Just literally by pulling and buying salves i win my lane then my game 90% of the time in my bracket (archon 4). If you want to rank up by playing 5 play a wave clear + team fight hero such as jakiro, pugna, shaman. Dont play bane, undying and single target heroes since most of the time player lower than ancient 3 bracket sucks at knowing their timing and cant play the map well

This happened yestterday and i was riki (4TH pick of team) and my last pick mid ember and 0/10 underlord blamed me for not going HG and hitting tier3 tower whem enemy was all alive i tried to say them but they just cant listen me. My guess is that they have iq between cat and dog. (4k ranked game)
