The Who performs Quadrophenia on February 14, 2013 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vintage Trouble was the opening act. I do not own any of the rights to the photographs. They were put in place every time somebody walked in front of my camera. This film contains the album Quadrophenia in its entirety. Enjoy! - เพลง
The Greatest album of all time.
Ya know, you may very well be right.
Hard to argue. It does depend on our moods and preferences at the moment but the craftsmanship of the musical scores, the meaning of each song and the album in its entirety. But there's some idiot's out there that would claim Def Leppard Pyromani was the best. According to its airplay, the DJ's of the world think all we want to here is Def Leppard. What a joke. My bad for mentioning them in the same sentence.
A milestone.. Like "The Dark Side of the Moon", Thick as a Brick", "Made in Japan", "Close to the Edge", "Trilogy" (ELP ) etc. etc..
A masterpiece. John enstwistle is the best bass player ever.
agree 100%
I get chills when I hear Pete play. He's that damn great.
this music transcends, gives absolution and liberates.
totally moving and immersed in the experience.
quadrophenia was my first record of The Who. wore out the grooves on the vinyl.
when i saw The Who in the kids are alright tour, it wasn't quite what i was psyched for. aging rockers reliving their former glory, i said to my high school chums. (unquestionably way better than pink floyd, though)
grampas singing about being a teenager?!?
still i REALLY wanted to see them for this show. today i am totally blown away. jealous. THANKS for the effort of putting together this video.
i miss the ox.
Un opera rock meravigliosa.Grazie the Who.siete sempre fra i primi nel mondo
This is the best video of the Quadrophenia tour( saw it in Glasgow) on you tube, thanks for uploading and your still pics just add to it.Saw the Who in 1981 aged 17 and never thought i would see them again but this tour was unmissable,32 year between gigs and still the 2 best nights ever.
Thanks for your kind words
I saw this tour in St.Paul. Great show. Took my son. Best band he ever saw. I’ve seen the band 8 times. First in Nuremberg back in 79. Favorite band ever since . Great recording. You did a great job!
The album QUADROPHENIA is imprinted on me from 1973 when I first heard it. I related to Jimmy, the music, and the beauty of the production. In 1976 I saw The Who at the Oakland Coliseum, Day On The Green, outdoors, and they played ZERO from Quadrophenia. I was angry with them, pissed to high heaven until February 2013 when I saw this show, (I'm a Who fan. We're fucking intense geezers and don't let shit go easily, K?) also at the Oakland Coliseum, indoors. The effort they put into this production, the sound, the lights, them, their group, the vids of Keith and John was just incredible. I paid huge money to get a close seat. It was worth every penny. They were incredible. I got my fill of Jimmy and the 4 quadros. Oh, and the star of my show was Zak Starkey, who played as close to Keith as anyone could. Keith was the greatest rock n roll drummer ever. I know, I know, that claim will be contested with Bonham, Peart, Palmer and others, but IMHO no one will ever match Keith. No one. Now that I've seen this performed live in a superb production, I can die a confused, doped, pilled, under-sexed, never-quite-satisfied, waiting for the girl in the yellow house to want to know me now, unhappy man. Thanks Pete and Roger! Oh......one more thing: after they finished Quadrophenia I left he Coliseum. They played some Who hits, but I got what I wanted. I do not need to hear WGFA or WAY or BOR ever again live. Quadrophenia was the reason to go.
It is HALF THE WHO, but still love to see them
Thanks For Sharing I saw them in UK Birmingham and was mesmerised. A fantastic show. My 14 year old son was speechless after seeing his legend Pete on the guitar :o)
They still sound great! Saw them back around xmas time 73-74 at one of the 4 nights they played at MSG. Opened with Quadrophenia and after intermission came back out for a set of chestnuts. To this day best concert I have ever seen.......and l've seen a lot. Thanks for the post.
Don Malone
It is almost beyond belief how generous Pete, Roger and the current band have been with the amount of touring they have done in these later years ( esp Pete, who is the oldest and has to work so hard up there - never giving it a half-assed job. He really GIVES when he plays). I will be gorever grateful for all the magic that Pete and the Who have created for us. Definitely have a permanent place in my heart.

Wish I still had my '74 Vespa Veloce Sprint.
I was sorry to miss the tour but thanks so much for capturing it on video. And for doing such a great job on it!
Yes Thank you so much for this. I now have this one and The Boss from KC last fall to listen to forever. I don't know how you did this. I was bouncing and drumming and fist pumping so much it was have been shots of the entire arena!!
Thank you, AmateurConcertFilms!
That is one of the best videos
I've seen !!
Thank you
The best band in the world ever there music WILL live on
Thank you for sharing this! What a great show and a great video!
Thanks for your kind words
very nice job, thank you!
Chris I agree. and having now seen the WHO in 2008 and now don't think they will get any better than this and question would I see them again after this performance as I would not want the memory tarnished.
Saw them in Paris on this tour...absolutley amazing. Got tears in my eyes during the solos with Keith and John...very cool! I have always so identified with this album, like millions of other kids I am sure. So glad I could see it in its entireity as Pete intended it. Loved the encore, and Vintage Trouble too...
I've watched this three times now lol thanks for this - you are amazing - I am going to see this at the 02 in london on sunday --- can't wait!
Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

Thank you so freakin much
Great coverage ACF, I watched them in Manchester last night and to be fair and honest, i was mesmerized for 2 and a half hours.
I am also a bit sad, because i will never ever see a better concert than that!.
Tour was great. Thanks for posting.
Glad to see Roger and Pete are still kickin' asses! Hats off guys!
I was here! Thank you SO MUCH for uploading this video, it was a great concert!:)
Really awesome to see at least Pete and Rodger performing what I still consider one of the most monumental pieces of rock music ever created. The only thing is that it's too bad the we all Lost the Ox way before his time and of course Keith who was so far before his time that it was just tragic to loose him. This sounds awesome but I can't help but miss John's amazing bass lines from this album.
what a great show/tour...great job uploading this. long live the who!! i ammmmmmmm the seaaaa!
Thanks so much for posting this.
i like the way you have done it with the still inserts, I go back to the days when yhou were luvky to get just audio!
Good job, I am going to see them 2x this summer in the uk
wow--Thanks! caught them right before this in san diego --amazing show.
I saw them on this tour. I had to keep checking to see what year it was. Couldn't believe two guys pushing 70 could kick such a huge quantity of ass.
I think the people who walked in front of you, causing you to insert all the great and perfectly placed pictures, made the entire video amazing as far as conveying the essence of this concert. As someone who's missed this tour, I thank you so much for your work - it really is a well done production. Quadrophenia was one of my favorite concept albums, and I even like the movie version, This was a great show - and your video/audio along w/pics make it feel like I'm almost there! Good job
This album helped me through my youth.
Kickin 70 and Still the best live act on the planet the MIGHTY WHO. POW
Excellent job on this video. Editing is excellent!
Thank you for that mate, we where sat on the same side, i was a tier up. Small world :-)
I only caught the last 2 songs of Vintage Trouble but they sounded great.
Also you very nearly got where Townshend threw his guitar about 20 foot during Baba O'Riley.
Thks For The Post !!! Excellent Concert : ) jcm
we are off to Amsterdam next friday to watch the greatest band of all time your coments and listening to this has got me well in the mood
Oh my gosh I could not believe it when I saw my feet opening up the Brighton Ballroom scene of Quodrophenia on the back of the concert. I really want to see this concert and I am definitely going to put it on my wish list.
great video, seen them last night in newcastle, truly amazing......legends !!!!!!
I went to see them last February. Best night of my life!
This concert was great. Flew in from Austin just to see them
from hull to sheffield on tues nite quality..im on me drums in me garage now blasting em out...Scott blended in well on the kit .R.I.P keith legend.....nice video well edited ACF
A level unmatched by anything else, ever.
I used a Nikon AW100. Great camera with 1080p video (also surprisingly good audio). And thank you! I just wish so many people hadn't walked in front of the camera...lots of time covering those people up with pictures :)
Great post.. cheers.......
Yes A Awesome Concert
Great video and great concert! I saw this tour in Ottawa and had floor seats 20 rows away from the band! I'm glad I took earplugs. I needed them!
Good for you for taking out the foul language in some songs and standing up for yourself in the face of others who didn't like that. You should be proud of yourself for doing that. God Bless you!
gasmmusic The 'foul language' is part of the album
Sorry, but I am a purist, as well as a Christian
There is an unedited version on my channel, if you would prefer :)
+Fretless99 Just because you"re a Christian it doesn't mean your better than everyone else. I hate holier than thou snotts ....
Who claimed to be better than anyone else?
+AmateurConcertFilms When people mention that they are Christians it always just sounds braggy. They think they are in another category. Besides, Good deeds don't need to be announced . Do they?
Dude, you did a really nice job filming this.
How true is this? Saw The Who on a Friday in Birmingham and the Stones on Saturday at Glastonbury. No competition. The Who still look they mean it. The Stones, as great as they are (were) almost sent me to sleep, with the exception of Mick Taylor, who was brilliant.
Hey everyone! Glad to hear so much positive feedback on the video. To my dismay, I also received a lot of criticism for adding in still pictures to the video. For those who didn't read the description, I did so because of an excessive amount of people who walked in front of the camera. If you would like a completely unedited video (just the raw footage), I uploaded a new version here: The Who Quadrophenia Tour *UNEDITED*
Enjoy! :)
Some people just have an overwhelming need to whine and complain, leaving very little room for them to just enjoy the presentation. good job.
Amazing!! just saw in AC! Best Concert I ever went too.
I was at this concert. Life changing.
Nice! Perfect to roll at work in the background.
Great concert...
Great Band...
can't wait to see this live tomorrow.
Love it best album they have done
My favourite album and movie 👏

Could not agree more.
Amo esta gira 😍
nice photos
ENJOY THAT SHOW! Maybe Roger's voice is enjoying a second adolescence. Let us know how the show works out!
I think in all likelihood, this show (in Cardiff) will be the last time I got to see them - and as you say, what a great show. This was either my 19th or 20th Who show, and apart from no Entwistle (obviously) it was the best of a great lot. Sad yes, but irreplaceable memories. :)
Geweldig concert vergelijkbaar met concert 5/07/2013 Ziggo-Dome
Daltrey's voice was better on this tour than in a long time, I thought.
Thanks Allen I thought it was terrific. I don't know how Roger manages to keep his voice in that shape at nearly 70. There's already some decent clips on here so you can see for yourself. I wouldn't bother with the clip I uploaded though. Its rubbish picture quality even if the sound is ok.
I like it...
Saw them at Staples. In LA.
Is that Pino on bass, please?
Great sound, and nice camera work :)
Is there a list with times, of the video?
Saw them in Feb 1981 IN THE OLD GLASGOW APOLLO ( AWESOME LOUD AND THE EVEN WITHOUT THE GREAT MOON THE FUCKIN BUSINESS) then waited 32yr saw them in Glasgow and would you Adam and Eve it! THEY ARE STILL THE BEST BAND I HAVE EVER SEEN! POW
tuned down a bit;but still great.
There were a bunch of cameras at last nights concert in Belfast
Saw them 1976 1st time .who by numb tour n each 1 endn with shea stadium .its hard ..simon came on n great but that who vibe changed alot .wen pete got xtra guitar...s..it was who playn with friends.all the mega stuff great .but its who music with guests .look bak at.70's thats the who.but they great
jadore
Great job, thaks.
But could you post the encores pleae??
That was a great concert! Great job catching the whole thing. That's not easy holding your camera there for the whole show. What kind of camera did you use?
Excellent filming work. How did you not get caught?
Simon mixed up the first two verses of The Dirty Jobs.
I was there man
Agreed!
I just got a tattoo that covers 2/3rds of my forearm of the picture shown in the very beginning of this video long live The Who!
Paladino is a great bass player....but isn't it remarkable the difference to see Pete playing with Entwistle...unreal,the chemistry..unreal to see the two of them tear it up like that
Saw this show at the Barclay's Center in Jersey in Nov. 2012!! Great stuff!! Any particular reason why the verses in "Dirty Jobs" were reversed, or was it just for a fun "change"???
your vid is great some scooter pics would have been good
I wish they would still play Water at gigs.
Merci d'avoir enfin mis des traductions des commentaires en anglais en français il était temps merci a youtube ou la personne qui s'occupe de cela ( Guy platteau Marseille)
