    Piccolo is only 23 years old. Do you think he can overcome this set back?

      I am agree with you, perharps cycling is unbalanced cause top pro cyclists do really epic races and nobody says anything about it, and guys like him with HgH is getting faulted. In football soccer, guys like Lionel Messi in his childhood by medical conditions had to do the same, and do you think that it doesnt gave an advantage during his carreer?

      @cristianfabiancarvajalmanr2647 there are a lot of different types of hgh. Most won't show up on a test. A lot of athletes nearly never cycle off of it if they're using the good stuff. Retroactive tests may wind up being a different story though

    Doping is still a problem in pro cycling, but compared to other sports like the NFL, MLB, NBA it is squeaky clean.

    • @veganpotterthevegan

      Practically all the pros are in these sports area doping so it's quite equal in that respect.

      @@veganpotterthevegan it's not equal at all. The testing in the NFL for example is not random and given six weeks notice......enough time to cycle off. It's a joke compared to cycling.

      @@FreeMTrider it's equal because they're all doping. Cyclists don't care about random tests because they know they're going to test negative anyway. Only carelessness gets you caught

    There is corruption on all
    Levels. A lot of the pro teams train in Spain. The Spanish Government doesn’t allow wada or any anti doping agencies to conduct testing at odd hours, on the weekends and only certain hours of the day.

    This is sad, wasn’t EF built as an aggressively antidoping team. It’s sketchy that they would allow him to race when they are suspicious of him. EF is my favorite team mainly because they are an American team 🇺🇸, I like their kits and their bikes, they make excellent content, and they participate in a wide range of the sport. It is sad to see but would anyone really be surprised if we found out the entire modern peloton is doped up? 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @SeeSmithTV
      @SeeSmithTV  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m a fan of EF as well. This could just be a case of bad decision making on Piccolo’s part. Hopefully more information will come out soon.

    What a shame. He had been looking good but was that an “enhanced” set of performances? Staying at the top of cycling is a cutthroat business and I guess, some riders feel they need to take these risks to remain there. It’s hard not to sympathise and at the same time, be mightily disappointed 🙁

    • @veganpotterthevegan
      @veganpotterthevegan 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Looking good? Pretty normal to me for the most part. But normal at the highest level also required PEDs. It's really not just doping to stay there. Few will ever get to the bottom of the top level without doping

    He's done. EF and Jonny Vaughters built their reputations on being squeeky clean. If he comes back at 26, the peloton will have passed him by. Apart from a few shady pro continental teams, no one will want to touch him, because he doesn't have any UCI points. It's too risky.

    • @RandumbNam3
      @RandumbNam3 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since when has Vaughters been clean? Squeaky, yes but he built his career on the hot sauce 💉, he wouldn’t have founded Slipstream without it. This sports fans needs to stop giving praise and defending former dopers.

      JV admitted to using EPO himself in "One Way Ticket" during his time at USPS - the Armstrong / Omerta / "everyone is doing it" era - but then joined the crusade to get it and other PEDs banned and cyclists suspended as result, his possible (only) redemption factor. Not so squeaky clean to begin with....

      @@stevemccrory9130 I'm well aware. I raced on a pro-conti team in Italy in the late 1980's when drug use was rampant. When I came back to the US to race crits, I found that the drugs were here, too.

    That’s pretty bad (four year suspension)… part of me thinks EF was looking to “drop” him anyway when they suspended him w/o pay for taking a (legal) sleeping aid… sounds like there’s more going on in the back office than the front office is admitting… pro cycling doesn’t need anymore drug issues… 🙌🏽

    i think there are new drugs avail that work better than all the ones that are listed on the banned substance list... because theres no way athletes can be going faster now than they were during the heydays of EPO while riding clean , but they are according to the current results in the last few seasons and the Giro this yr was the fastest ever in its history.
