This is so true. I myself was looking for a barber school and I saw this same kind of bad behavior within the school. That’s why I didn’t choose the cheaper school. Theirs a certain demeanor I am attracted to within the field that is a clean cut type and that’s where I find that people pay the most.
Yea people must realize our industry has changed.. Man a lot of the inner city Barbers I used to work with think it’s cool to be unprofessional man.. When I worked in the suburbs and then into a suite I saw a vast difference.. Great video man
Hay Cole thank you for your videos very inspiring I've got a question for you I am 56 years old and burnt out on my previous career I'm thinking of becoming a barber do you think I'm too old to get in the game is it too late for me I have a gentleman willing to make me his apprentice and teach me everything he knows what are your thoughts
I just had this convo w two of the guys at the shop, crazy. But I was saying the same thing to them about barbering being a career not a hustle. I think where I was confused was where they said it’s part of the culture to say ANYTHING is a hustle. And I was getting confused with the term “hustle” and “side hustle” so I understand what they were coming from.
I love cutting hair but I don't feel it's fair to charge over 25 for a haircut. I don't care I love to cut hair and but the peopl are getting taken advantage of. 50 bucks a cut is narcissistic.
Yea 40 is fair for a clean cut.. barber paid hundreds for the clippers, pays some type of rent for the chair, and skill & a cut will last at least 1-4 weeks dont be so cheap
The government specifically the Department of Labor don't take us seriously, nor do most shop owners. But ur right, being ghetto at work won't get u far on no job...
As a barber, if you don’t take your career serious, how can you expect your clients to take you serious.💯💪🏿💈

If your a really talented barber who does straight razor and clean fades . 40$ a cut is where it's at
