Tbh I just finished my first full year cutting and I've been doing all these things. I even stand outside and hand out business cards to people walking by when I'm not busy. I've snagged people off the street who have turned into regulars.

That's a good shout, I've never gave out leaflets or cards, but maybe something we should all be looking at, always get a min. when we ain't doing anything and I have a food outlet next to my shop always some workers that could be doing with a good cut on their lunch break.

Some good advice there, defo for new barbers to take good note, and realise how clients can go down as quick as you can build em up. I don't know how other barbers feel but I've never stopped learning new technique, skills ,products. Same as we want to learn about clients work they want to know about ours when they're in getting a fresh clean cut.

We do walk-ins and appointments. The walk-ins turn into appointment clients after a while. Many people can't do appointments due to their schedule. It's kind of the best of both worlds.

It’s crazy because I have the opposite of a problem. I went all in on barbering and got so busy my body is just destroyed. My life my free time doesn’t exist I cut 10 hours a day 5-6 days a week. I do make close to 100k but it’s so intense that I’m trying to find a way out. My body my energy my mind I can’t take handling 30 people a day. Sounds like I’m whining but there’s got to be a better way
