Thanks for this. I like when you do tutorials that can be used for multiple projects and the like vs something extremely specific. Been watching you for a long while now, glad to see your channels continued growth!
DEWD! Your tutorials are amazing! I am/was in a hole of sorts, no inspiration, but your videos recently have showed me what I can do more and taught me a lot! Thank you for your work!
@@philippevanacker5504 Yes you totally can. Just make sure to save the image after you've texture painted it. You can override the original texture, or save it as a new texture.
I notice that when you created the image for roughness, you left the 'alpha' channel turned on, yet I don't think roughness maps use transparency? (Please correct me if I'm wrong, I am still new at this). Was this intentionally left on, or just not questioned? Thanks for the tuts!
Can I do everything that Substance Painter can do in Blender? I'm thinking about buying supstance but when I saw this I don't know why there is substance when blender has all this
I have never used substance painter, so I don't know for sure, but I believe substance painter is much more advanced and is a lot better for texture painting specifically. However, when it comes to the entire 3d process overall, Blender is much more versatile. But for just texture painting specifically, I think substance painter might be better.
texture painting is a very good method to approach edge wears and rust kind of things
Yes it really is! 👍
You have opened up the world of texture painting to me! I have been trying to learn blender for a while and this is super helpful! Keep it up!

@@RyanKingArt Hello, I hope you're doing well, tell me, can we paint on an image we imported?

is there any way I can make this not shiny?
what is better wacom or huion?
I have used both, and I think there both good brands. Huion tablets are more affordable though.
I lost track of how many times he said "texture painting" ヽ༼⁰o⁰;༽ノ
