Babe wake up! BradenBuildz just dropped another banger!
Might want to use the safety bar on the bucket arm while changing the air filter. Good way to lose an arm!
I was thinking the same, with all the books and no safety.
The fact that the safety bar is right in his face the whole time!
His little bit of knowledge is just enough to be dangerous.
When loader arms are up and safety bar out you can’t reach filter. I knew this without trying. But manual has loader all the way down and then your required to wedge filter out. I wouldn’t be able to get under filter to the screw if loader was down. And wouldn’t be able to get to filter if loader was up.
@@BradenBuildz You can find another way to block it, a long 4x4 or similar. Pinch points are one of the number 1 places injuries occur. Pinch points, lifting, and things that spin, never mess around with safety on these things.
Hydraulics aren't reliable for holding things up, always assume hydraulics are going to leak down or even fail catastrophically like it did earlier in the video.
This isn't a safety nancy keyboard warrior thing. People are telling you this because we know someone with missing fingers or limbs, or have been involved in near misses that almost took us out. Some things really are dangerous, not just internet dangerous.
Hell of a deal Braden congratulation. I have to admit I fall for the foul ball clip every time and I've been waiting for that skid steer video since you picked the burn pile to get what you needed
Check out the very ending of vid there might be a clip there for you
fantastic video. Love the update and progress.
Well done lad. Something that really stood out to me was you didn’t complain once, about anything. I like that and the fact you recognised a good deal when you saw it and jumped on it. Now it’s getting serviced properly, no short cuts. It certainly cleaned up well with a good wash.
Cheers, Stuart 🇦🇺. Ps, you got a new sub👍
Take the $300 out towards new tires, what a true honorable man! Allways should have good tires. If you don't use the trailer often, block up trailer keep tires inside. So jealous, what a classic, nice find.
That "ball in the face" bit? Well kid, let's just say, you got me.
Very cool vid on an old "fix it up" tractor.
Bummer about the blowouts, but you and Roadrunner dealt with it like a champ. And absolute deal on the Case 480C
Great job and service on your new/old backhoe!! i liked your content and will keep watching.
Appreciate it, I have a lot of respect for truckers thank you for what you do.
Mr Braden Buildz, you posted, really enjoyed it ,thanx ,could you please post more good content, regards Rob .❤
Love watching. Are those steel toed Crocs?
Great video and editing as always!
The baseball ⚾️ got me 😂😂😂
Dang that’s a good deal!! Upstanding seller!
Someone please for the love of god buy this man a wrench set 😂😂 the monkey wrenches hurt my soul
Hey Brayden I use to use that Lucas oil stabilizer but I quit using it after I had a engine mess up after using it, I did tons of research on it and other people also had problems with it and the reason why is because it foams the oil really bad, it prob won’t hurt it in a slow revving diesel engine (diesel oil also has anti-foaming additives) but I’d never put it in a high revving or turbocharged engine. I now just put rotella t5 in everything even gas engines
Nice! Just subbed, I just picked up a Deere 333g that’s needing odd and end things fixed, got me debating making a channel to share with others just like you
I’d definitely invest in some 14 ply tires for that, total pain to install but way more reliable. I have a similar backhoe on the same slightly longer trailer and it’s a great set up. Currently filming the transmission repair video on my case backhoe
I don't comment but love your channel and humor keep up the good work I own a case 680 they are great machines ❤❤
I used to drive a case 586D ruff train forklift back in the 90s
What drone did you use?
I got a 1973 ish 480 B used it hard for years motor still runs good but I think the trans is bad on it it goes into gear but won’t move when you let off the clutch
Have you tried engaging the differential LOCK. I ran a Case 580-C back in the late 1970s. You had to engage the differential LOCK to make it move. I was on a big sewer mainline job with 5 crews installing sewer runs all over this small city. The supervisor just told me to make her move and keep working. I was mainly potholing for water service crossing or other utility
So I used the backhoe more than the front bucket
Score! Been waiting on an update on the skidsteer!
Very end of video might have a skid steer update
@@BradenBuildz great to finally see the steer running and moving!
nice buddy we just drug a 72 out of a barn and got her going for the property cool to see ya out there getting it done i need a trailer like yours to find the deals!
Make sure your tires aren’t dry rotted when you go after the deals. Ik a guy that had 3 blow outs
Waiting for second part... hurry up man! 😠😆😅🤣
Whats with all dem power tools… BOY?!?!? Boomer just entered the room… subbed
Great video, nice one!
Wow that was a steal great video
Hell yea what a surprise!
They make 90* adapters for the grease gun, come in at it sideways. Pretty handy!
New sub That's a nice old case you got there Sounds good long as it works That's all You need Good job stay safe my friend have a good day we'll see on another
Turn your 5 gallon bucket so the spout is on top - then start pouring... you'll get less slop and splash hitting the funnel...
Score ,,,good deal
nice work
Great video
The filters needed to be changed out to get the hydraulics working... engine sounded fantastic for the age!
Alabama is such a pretty state.
Would replace the hydraulic fluid also and depending on use redo at say 6 months. Then every 12. Just to be safe.
There isn’t any left in it
Thats a steal on that backhoe. Around here their going for 7 to 9000. I just a couple months ago bought a 1980 580c that been sitting awhile. For 10 thousand.
Did I find a tractor demolition derby?
[thank, you for you're video👍 I, own a 1966, case ck 530 diesel backhoe]
Great deal
What was wrong with elrod?
My buddy said they now make 12 ply trailer tires. He has started swapping out all his 10 ply tires for 12 ply tires now and said they don't cost much more than the 10 ply tires.
Sometimes when you purchase something in the cellar sees how enthusiastic you are to own a piece of machinery and take care of it and give it a good home they're willing to come down on price just to know that machine will live a lot longer instead of going to a scrap yard
Watch out to rain in the muffler/engine !
Yep. My uncle's ranch has lots of tractors with locked up engines, because he never put a soup can over the mufflers, when he wasn't using the tractors.
She cleaned up nice. That there was the first backhoe I ever ran, the torque converter is a real treat to run.
YES first one for me was a 580-CK but it had the same Backhoe design, with boom cylinder and dipper cylinder on boom. As my work life progressed, the company worked for the same 480-C, but an enclosed CAB, with extendahoe. Plus they had an old Case 580-CK with that Backhoe design, it had No cab or ROP.
Can u make a list of part numbers for the filter and such that u used?
If you pause video the napa numbers are on the boxes
@@BradenBuildz OK, thanks.
Son you’re gonna get yourself hurt or killed, never start equipment from the side. Sit in the seat!
Lucky find
Tip top job. Grüße aus dem Saarland.
😳😧🤔 To comment or not to comment ? Mistakes were maid and Braden survived the ordeal. So I guess it was a good video ?? Waiting for more. Thanks
22:40 - zerk fittings. You do know that you can purchase and install 45° as well as 90° zerk fittings... right? Just food for thought! Best wishes!

You can also get an adapter for your grease gun that will go ahead and grease that even though it's sticking straight in the air.
Damn good deal man. maintenance is definitely key to a long life one this back hoe.
Don't use an impact driver when installing drain plugs.
No
It’s farm equipment who gives a shit
Warning label had a new seal for the air filter
attached to the back of it!
Washer
You came to Alabama and didn’t stop by 😢
Fayette Alabama. Figured that was at-least 4 hours from you
@@BradenBuildz lol yea that’s to far
Why can't I find deals like that! That would probably have a $5k-$7k price tag on it where I live. There's a 580 case in my local CL for $22.5k. Probably newer, but doesn't look too new.
I hear ya. I have $7600 tied up in my 1970 Case 580ck backhoe and it's still in pieces. Every night it leaks all 10 gallons of transmission fluid out through the flywheel housing.
Everything I just told you will Fitbit tractor
That moment when you find out the spare tire for the pickup would have fit..
Wouldn’t have thought one for the truck then. I also don’t trust that tire under that much weight
ya you will find her fluids battery now days prices cost just as much for repairs just buy on sales i add cleaners but becareful change flow those pump seals hose anything hydralic going need cleaning would not risk starting a job with out it being touch up if or when something happens worse timeing why risk it do repairs cutting edge bucket grease lube
Yep. I just priced out transmission/hydraulic fluid at Runnings today and the cheapest stuff is $55 for a 5 gallon bucket. Sucks when the front seal on my transmission leaks out all 10 gallons over night.
Please video brake repair, I have one just like it, NO brakes. Thanks
Be careful there man.
You had 4 nearly serious accidents on video-
Tire blowout, starting tractor in gear, hose failure, starter removal.
I drive a hotshot truck and work on equipment also.
You may go to church on Sunday, but you only cheat death or serious injuries so few times
I’m pretty sure I saw this on Facebook marketplace lol
Wasn’t on marketplace or I probably wouldn’t have gotten to it in time
Why don’t you keep the old backhoe and use it for a parts machine ?
If I ever need parts I just buy them. The 480c and the 580ck are different machines and most of the parts aren’t compatible with one another anyways. Plus I got $1500 out of elrod and only gave 800 for him so 🤷🏻♂️
I can see why you don't use it.
Lots of people don't like Case TLBs!!! Especially with their non-standard controls!!!
Dude your going to get hurt one of these days for not using the lift cylinder lock out.
Dude just rutted up my man’s building pad.. wtf dude🤷🏻♂️
And took the only machine he had to build with
@@BradenBuildz you don’t build a shop with a backhoe smartass. If you were half as smart as your mouth you would have noticed the building pad and not fucked it up for the guy.
And on top of that I got some brand new backhoe tires for sale I will take 1000 for the 2
What size? Where are you?
had new had old dont really matter but still know old usa made tires will do more then cheap canda mexico or china only three usa tires makers get set 6-8-10 ply money well spend good year is one the best heat speed load sure but add tube never have problems like shoes and socks learn hard way feet back all part young and dumb or old and smart you will
And the $300 is gone for tires
wow ive paid more for atvs that run worse then that...
Using adj.wrench really !! use the proper tool , box or sockets before you hurt yourself youngster..
I’ve hurt myself just as bad with boxed end wrenches and sockets. My favorite was with a socket. Split it open and it slipped on the bolt. When it let go my hand slammed into the transmission. If you’re working on something, you’re bound to get hurt. Just gotta be tough
@@joshuaearnheart2756 Where heavy cotton chore gloves when for when the wrench finally goes to deaden the blow.
Two words. Cheater pipe.
Older case backhoes are Garbage!!!!!!
Are most people hate their backhoe controls!!!!
Nice buy
You should have chained up thems Jack's.
