A hilarious oversight I discovered: If you play as the Tau and research their range upgrades, they can shoot the harlequin that’s talking to Taldeer, killing her mid sentence. “Escape is still poss-ARRRGH!”
I don't care how it is accomplished I don't care when or why or who. Those one Tau Fire Warrior alone is the hero the Warhammer 40K universe needs, but not necessarily the one it deserves.
A similar bug; any army with squad-attachable units will sometimes have the squads disappear but the attachable units remain if they're placed on top of the Eldar plateau (where the base is), resulting in the attachable units just running around attacking the Eldar structures or even the Farseer and Harlequin, killing the Farseer or Harlequin in the process! You end up having the attachables standing on top of the slope while their troops catch up, as though they're saying "Hmph, what took you guys so long?!"

Have to say, the Imperial Guard version of this ending is really ridiculous. Other races I can understand why they use what they use (with the exception of the Space Marine, but maybe the Chaplain fighting toe to toe would have made better sense than a Land Raider for the reasons I'm about to give) The Imperial Guard's choice to fight the Avatar... a Sentinel. (I wish I was kidding!) When the Avatar is slashing at the Sentinel, the mech just stands there and takes every one of its hits like "Yeah, like this is even gonna hurt me". I thought Sentinels were waaaaaaaay more fragile, especially when these things attack them. Granted, the Baneblade probably isn't too great a choice either because it just sits there and takes punishment, but I'm really wondering what they could have used to fight the Avatar properly. The only thing that comes to mind is a mob of Ogryns, as they can theoretically dodge, and they're strongest in melee combat in the Guard, so they could potentially take a lot of hits and whittle away at the Avatar until it died. Also, I'm starting to wonder... if the Dark Eldar chose to fight the Avatar, what do you think they would take? Personally, my initial money is on the Talos, as it is a melee combat mech and is potentially agile enough to give the Avatar a hard time in melee. Sisters of Battle, I know they're just going to use a Living Saint.

The thought of Taldeer choosing to remain and suffer as Kyras (Blood Ravens Chapter Master) interrogated her is chilling in it's own right but at least she got to remain in her soul-stone for many years after in Kyra's possesion instead of the Chaos Marines of the Word Bearers offering her soul to Slannesh by cracking open her soul stone under Eliphias orders. It is quite eerie knowing she could have escaped but chose to await her fate instead; though not sure if waiting for the Word Bearers to come for her would have been that wise, that's one enemy she should have definitely fled from... Luckily for Taldeer (Well sorta) at least she was canonically not given to Slannesh; Kyras interrogating and killing her seems gentle in comparison despite the hell she endured. In my playthrough as Space Marines, I don't know how but at 0:50 aproximately the marines that were advancing somehow got close enough to shoot the Harlequin and kill her. The scene were she says to Taldeer that "Escape is still possible" was hilarious as the camera just showed the corpse of the Harlequin.
"The Avatar of Khaine has fallen!" -cuts to the Avatar doing a combo move on a Greater Daemon I don't know it looks like he's doing alright -gets unceremoniously decapitated out of no where Shit, the knife ears really can see the future.
The music is a very nice touch, incredibly atmospheric. Really sets the mood for what this defeat means to the fate of Ulthwe. Also, like the particular song due to its source as well. Was very appropriate there too.
And remember, every Eldar that dies, has their soul turned to Slaanesh. She could have escaped that fate by going with the others but she knew that she had to make a last stand. She is one of the bravest characters in the game.
Alejandro Ramirez Actually they can avoid being sent to Slaanesh due to the spirit stones cause they store their souls in there, but if you break those stones then they get sent to Slaanesh. Considering that she was facing off against Chaos forces and that the aftermath says that every spirit stone was shattered, I can confidently say that Taldeer got tortured for Slaanesh’s fun in this ending

This is an epic video, especially for a video game. It conveys the emotion of a heavy price. Good choice of music, and very cinematic with the Farseers sacrifice and the camera tilting upwards before she dies on screen.
Though the Eldar are my sworn enemies, even I have to respect how Taldeer didn't run from her fate and instead, sacrificed herself in order to save the remainder of her troops from death......
How Sad... What an honorable being... The music was fitting, and she was so brave. She stood no chance, and I saw her guilt. Farseer, you make me proud to like the Eldar race. She was awesome and fought hugely outnumbered. The Blood Ravens, the Necrons (In a sense) and the mostly the Eldar have the saddest endings.
In all seriousness, this was a horribly sad ending. Well, although she does get killed, in Dark Crusade or later, we now that her soulstone has probably been reclaimed by her brother, so at least she is saved from the agony of Slaanesh, for now.

Using the Blood Ravens, a funny thing happened when this played. While Taldeer and the Harlequin were talking, an Apothecary started fighting(and winning) against the Harlequin. The Harlequin lost because she kept trying to talk to Taldeer.
You know what's weird? Statewise, The Avatar beats the Bloodthirster by FAR (At least in the RTS) Bloodthirster Stats: Health: 14000 Damage (Max): 560 or something (Somewhere in the five hundreds) Avatar: Health: 15000 Damage: 500-1060 The Bloodthirster gets more and more expensive and loses health when not in combat but gains when in combat, where the Avatar keeps your troops morale invlunerable and builds all units quicker.

Yes, I found that one out recently. In Tau ending she might be and might not be dead, cuz there are taken Eldar prisoners for questioning and stuff. It would just be logical, that Tau would've captured Taldeer for questioning as well.
Zethus betrayed Eliphas and got his miniature rebel army either dead, or captured and made to suffer. Amphion stayed loyal, and had the honor of commanding the Defilers bombardment of the Eldar Webway. Be more like Amphion.

Because Taldeer is an Eldar, a race of Space Elves and people can't help but feel for them despite the fact that the Eldar screw over the Imperiumn on a regular basis. Also, Taldeer cares deeply about her people and wants to protect them at all costs......
It was a serious pain in the taking that last bastion up on the hill. lol. A good strike force with a Baneblade, backed by 2 Leman Russes, and a Basilisk providing cover can usually kill anything. Well, not that place. I seriously thought there was a glitch that was spawning endless Fire Prisms for a minute there. :P
@eldencolt123 - not always. In DoW 2, they established that the Blood Ravens' campaign on Kaurava had been a disaster. I do get what you mean about the Eldar though, surely they deserve a break by now. They could have kept Taldeer alive, at least - they always let Gorgutz escape to fight again...
Thats like saying a plant dying shows fish are useless. The Eldar Farseers orchestrated an attack on an Imperial World to take a Chaos artifact which would have corrupted the humans causing them to attempt a Daemon ritual which would've failed and caused the sector to be overrun by Daemons. They also managed this with few casualties and avoiding blame.
If the original cutscenes had music like this. It really sets a good tone and enhances the scenes, compared to the often music less cutscenes in the actual game.

You can also get the same result with Tau if you fully upgrade the range of your units.

When I played as the Tau, this cutscene came up, my Fire Warrior Bodyguards picked off the Harlequin so Taldeer ended up speaking to a dead body.

Because Taldeer is an Eldar, a race of Space Elves and people can't help but feel for them despite the fact that the Eldar screw over the Imperiumn on a regular basis. Also, Taldeer cares deeply about her people and wants to protect them at all costs......

It was a serious pain in the taking that last bastion up on the hill. lol. A good strike force with a Baneblade, backed by 2 Leman Russes, and a Basilisk providing cover can usually kill anything. Well, not that place. I seriously thought there was a glitch that was spawning endless Fire Prisms for a minute there. :P

@eldencolt123 - not always. In DoW 2, they established that the Blood Ravens' campaign on Kaurava had been a disaster.
I do get what you mean about the Eldar though, surely they deserve a break by now. They could have kept Taldeer alive, at least - they always let Gorgutz escape to fight again...
Thats like saying a plant dying shows fish are useless. The Eldar Farseers orchestrated an attack on an Imperial World to take a Chaos artifact which would have corrupted the humans causing them to attempt a Daemon ritual which would've failed and caused the sector to be overrun by Daemons. They also managed this with few casualties and avoiding blame.
If the original cutscenes had music like this. It really sets a good tone and enhances the scenes, compared to the often music less cutscenes in the actual game.
Even my distaste for the eldar, you have a good point.
