- The day started out quite well , nice bus none stop to Bangkok, So I was told, So the runner round begins again, Only in Thailand, The epic bus another bus, taxi sky train back to Bangkok from Kanchanaburi Thailand.

I’ve been coming to Thailand for 14 years straight. The one most important thing I’ve learned is to be flexible and just expect that things won’t always go as planned. Places will be closed for random reasons and transportation isn’t always reliable. But it’s such an adventure!

Fun to watch!
taxi meter from Mochit (North Eastern bus terminal) to Mochit BTS is 60 baht. Done it MANY times. Little more if you're going to Nokanchai Air Bus terminal. You'd like them, serve meals on the bus and snacks and soy milk and juice with a wet wipe to freshen up just before you get to destination. Cost a bit more but very nice.

Yes the lack of connection between the Mochit minivan station and the sky train station is a big pain. It is possible to find your way from one to the other through the big public park (I did it once), but the exit on the Mochit side is far from obvious

There are cheaper hotels at Soi Rambuttri Road near Khaosan i used to pay always 250 baht per night max 500 but yes prices might have climbed a lot

Hello mate, Morchit bus station to Morchit BTS/Chatuchak MRT is an absolute pain to get to by public transport (I found out the hard way too recently!) Much easier to get a bus south from where you first got off, to Saphan Kwai or Ari and pick up the BTS there. Also do this in reverse if you're heading to Morchit bus terminal from the city center. Seems crazy but if you're going to Morchit - don't get off at Morchit! LOL. Cheers

There is nothing like a bus trip in Asia with the locals. Very entertaining. Do you cover yourself with Insurance? In case of that oops moment that we never plan for when travelling out of country.🤔

If you'd said BTS in kanchanaburi they would have put you on a minibus, dropped you off at the skytrain. Minibuses are more comfortable than the minivans as well.
