- On this episode, Seth is joined in the studio by Preston Lentfer and Judd Jarzynka. The Hornady catalog is filled with thousands of products you know and love however, there may be a few items that you're not familiar with. The guys discuss ten Hornady products you may have overlooked through the years for example, the Square-Lok organizing system. The revolutionary Square-Lok accessories lock in easily and hold firmly for countless storage configurations. We hope you enjoy the show!
As a 4-H shooting sports coach and the SD State 22 pistol coach for our national team, please pass on to everyone at Hornaday, we appreciate everything you do to support us. Hope to see you guys at the Nationals in Grand Island at the end of June.
Thank you for the kind words! We did just announced some big news - we are pleased to announce that Hornady has just assumed management of the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska. We WILL see you there!
@@hornady Awesome!!!
Thank you Seth, Judd, and Preston. You guy have consistently made a informative posdcast.
Thank you
Always looking forward to Thursday mornings. Thank you guys for what you do!
Glad you enjoy it!
I continue to enjoy listening to this series of podcasts, thank you for taking the time and effort posting this information.
I learn so much from these pod casts and truly enjoy the format, host and guests.
The camlock puller is great. If adjusted properly, it’s very easy on projectiles. And if you’re smooth, and your press is stable, it is a very clean way to recover powders! It’s saved a lot of material/components from the bucket of shame for a new handloader.
Look forward to Thursday night at work for the podcast, listen constantly to the episodes. Thanks guys from Australia 🇦🇺 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I used a H.I.T. indicator today at 1400 yards and It was very impressive. I could clearly see the flashing with every impact.
Your One Shot Gun Cleaner and Lube works great as a rust preventative, as proven by the independent testing mentioned here. Because it's a dry lube, I like to use it to swab my rifle bores as a final step after cleaning. And I've yet to see a POI shift when using it in a clean, cold barrel.
That is a great price for the hit indicator. I can't wait to get some for my range. I know it would increase the price. Offer it with a builtin solar charger like the Holoson red dots. It would be nice to have both options.
I found your podcast a few months ago and really enjoy the product reviews, knowledge and general information. Today was great because as the goal of the podcast was to inform people of the products. I found severa I was unaware of that seem very useful. Great show as always.
Yep, the very last one. You reminded me to get that bullet puller
Best time a week again!!!
Enjoy!
Love the HIT !!! And the new micrometer.

Hornady is good at stepping up to the plate and supplying the needs of the shooting community.
What we need right now is large rifle primers.
Please Hornady build the worlds largest large rifle primer factory 🙏🏽🤣
No seriously… we will give you our money.
Omg… when will this end?
I am heading out to go purchase LR primers from Bosnia because the continent of North America can’t provide. SMH very sad.
This was a great podcast! I would love to hear more about your “bedside” products. If someone breaks into my house in the middle of the night, what all products do you have that I could use, for pistol, shotgun, etc. Also do your safes have room for spare mags, small flashlights, etc? I get that this would likely be more of a visual podcast.
Great input - Hornady Security & SnapSafe feature safes in many different sizes and configurations. To include options with more space for additional items for sure!
You guys are awesome! Thank you
Our pleasure!
Hi Seth & co! I like it when you bring the items related to the podcast onto the table. It allows the "viewers" to see what you are talking about.
Out here in New Zealand we don't have access to a lot of the stuff that you have in the states.
Great input - we'll get better at that. Thanks!
16:00 I had one of those vault doors. Took us an hour to install and convert the doorframe to steel.
Had it powder coated white.
I use the One Shot for locks used outside, best ever.
Lots of Great equipment!

I'm always looking forward to Thursday motioning for these podcasts. Thanks, guys. I can't wait for the next installment of barrel cleaning!
Just discovered this, as I'm waiting for my 300 win mag barrel to cool down
Love this podcast- it isn’t great for my wallet though …😅
😂
Agreed the Hornady One Shot is great stuff. Sure makes my bolts sing with the lube sprayed on them slick as can be. Also big Thanks for the Hornady Click-Adjust Bullet Seating Micrometer. The time I’ve saved and the accuracy while seating bullets is fantastic . Built rugged as well. Great product for anyone using Hornady seating dies
Thanks so much!
How bout them Hornady coasters?
That is kind of a funny statement. "a lot of us that live in the western part of the country" I do not think that you can get much more centered in the country than Grand Island Nebraska.
I love Hornady products!
Range pick up is the worst brass for new reloaders to learn to reload.
I agree. If you’re just getting started use brand new brass or your own brass that’s been shot one time and is all the same manufacturer. As expensive as components are split, dented, bulged brass isn’t worth my time.
I also started with Pacific equipment, and built some accurate loads. Although I still have that equipment, most has been upgraded to newer Hornady items.
10 HORNADY products we want to tell you about
The 17 WSM rim fire are you guys still making it? Do you have any idea when it will be available again and are they coming out with any different grains, other then the 20GR.
Seth what scope is on your howa mini? I have 2 love them both my third will be a 6 arc.
By the way, do you give out catalogs?
www.hornady.com/catalog
"I'll fight the person that put it on there" haha
A lot of new stuff
HIT INDICATOR After testing a pack of five out. They are way to sensitive I shoot 6 dasher and 6.5 PRC from 500 to 1300 yards even shooting the dasher at 1300 and hitting the ground up to three feet away from a 4 foot t post with the hit indicator at the top it give false hits every time. I would pay more to see a sensitivity screw on the side.Kind of disappointed. I must say you can see it flash easy...
Wish you would have showed some more of the products, like the scale.
We'll definitely do more of that going forward. Thanks for the input!
Could you make a podcast about hornady shotgun shells please
And how are things moving along in the United States regarding biodegradable shotgun shells.
In Denmark where I'm from biodegradable wads and steel shot is getting more and more popular.
How do I order your calog to see I may want to order
www.hornady.com/catalog
spring cleaning sale... 😅
As a seven PRC owner I would like to request you upload an unedited video showing the seven PRC being shot in your lab with the radar showing the speeds first I understand most companies over hype the speed of the projectile but there is a massive amount of coverage against the seven PRC currently floating around the Internet showing it being 200 ft./s slower than the box feel free to delete this comment if you wish for it to be hidden I will still shoot my seven PRC and reload for it because I love the cartridge I don’t really care about getting bamboozled by the 3000 ft./s
HAM radio operators use Morse code everyday.
Why aren't you guys promoting the 22 creedmore but are really promoting 22 ARC?
You should sell hornady branded baby wipes. Just don't call them baby wipes. All purpose water based cleaning wet wipes.
What y’all should be telling us is why you all lied about the velocity in your PRC cartridges.
When the 7mm PRC was first introduced, the velocity specifications were set using several high-performance propellants that were readily available at the time. As most of you are aware, there is a world-wide propellant shortage. As such, we’ve been forced to find alternative propellants. When choosing a substitute powder, we focus on accuracy, consistent ignition, and temperature stability. A new propellant option met our criteria and, more importantly, is available, however it often doesn’t achieve the original velocity specifications. With this reduction in velocity coupled with variation in chambers and barrels, it is possible to see 75-175 fps slower velocity from your rifle, than the velocity printed on the box. This alternative propellant solution does generate the consistency and accuracy we demand. Other substitutes did not meet those requirements; we prioritized accuracy over speed. Hornady has always encouraged shooters to test ammunition from their rifles to obtain accurate velocity data.
Due to the powder shortage, everyone in the ammunition manufacturing sector is faced with choosing between loading ammunition slower than originally specified, or simply not loading ammo at all. This temporary powder solution has allowed us to continue to produce and ship ammunition despite the powder availability concerns.
Dit dit dit dit Dit dit Dah
I wish Hornady would stick with ammo and reloading. All the made in China products from an American founded company just disappoint me as an American trying to support other Americans.
I KNOW I KNOW its ALL the ammo You make is in small quantities so You CANT Fing buy it
Hornady ammo sucks to there crimping methods are horrible.
Why do y’all, Hornady, lie about the velocities achieved on your ammo?
That’s what we all want to lnow
So Billy bob at the big box store sees it on the package and says “woah!” And buys it because he doesn’t know any better. All of us know they inflate the FPS, average joe doesn’t though.
