Maybe all his legs don't work right but his brain sure does. You can see the intelligence in his eyes.
GSD and Huskies are both very intelligent breeds!!
where???? i couldn’t find any thought in his eyes in the whole video
@julianabeatriz5851 lol, you must not speak his dialect of "dog-eyes" 😆🤣🤣 ... the rest of us had no trouble
@@seresamgala8125 Agreed. GSD's can seem a bit dodo like until you unless you get use to them. It's the head tilt that makes them look like their a bit ditzy. But those dogs are always on top of their game. However, that husky side was there the GSD side just kept him calm.
@Shipperville I have a pure bred German Shepherd and I used to think his head tilts were cute but made it look like he was dumb. Now I've learned his head tilts are a sign of curiosity and genuinely wanting to understand. Once he understands something, he stops tilting his head at it. And he figures things out FAST.
So now if I hide my head behind this chair she can’t see me😅 lol.
"If I can't see them, they can't see ME." 😆
Ditto my thoughts🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍😁
That was too cute! :)
I laughed...
That is my favorite moment. Gorgeous pup.
I love the "you can't see me, because I'm hiding behind the chair" move! What a cutie!
I know! (If my head is hidden, you can't see me) lol.
😂😂my bully did similar thing as a puppy when i would trim his nails 😅
Just turning down the sound
I was surprised that she found him. He was so perfectly hidden.
I know they are funny hiding their heads if I can’t see u can’t see me are even funnier when they turn around look the other way and hunker down
You: I think he farted!
Him: You’re welcome!
i love that despite the discomfort, as soon as she stopped drying he was ready to be friends lol i love dogs
Disabled since age 23 (both legs). Will be 52 this year. I totally get the "can't stand for too long, can't sit for too long" thing. It usually takes me ages to get even a little bit comfortable. YT distracts me hugely. Thank you for making the most entertaining videos out there, Vanessa!
I wish you all the best!
@@rebny7801Thank you so much. 😀
My sister has EDS and is the same.
I was relating with this pup too. Keep Going! Just do what you can, no matter if people understand or don't.
Very Sincerely, Laural
@@inspiredclips8245 Thank you so much. We all do what we can! Loved your response, thanks! :)
"Shepherd and Husky mix" I'm 2 seconds in and I already know this is going to be chaos. He's SO handsome! What a good silly boy.
Some of these mixes... I had a Belgian shepherd/Border collie once. There was no grooming like this. It was just pursuit with a brush until he gave up! Clip one or two nails a day. It was never-ending. Like you said, 2 seconds into knowing him, I knew it was going to be crazy!
He has the colors of a shepherd, the dramatic cry of a husky... Lmao
I love that he has the overall appearance of a shepherd so he could look like a guard dog. But he has the majestic and dramatic cry of a husky lmao. Perfect mix.
Mixing a shepherd and a husky is like pairing the class top with a back bencher. Ther only outcome is the class top turning half crazy
He's the goodest, sweerest gentlefloof and I love him. Thanks for putting his comfort and safety first, as always ❤️
I love that word gentlefloof. I'm going to adopt it! He really is the goodest, sweetest gentlefloof.
@@mazmellem2773 I'm sure I saw it somewhere, too. Happy to share good words 😄
What's sweerest?
@@melaniekendall4903 a typo. It should've been sweetest, but autocorrect failed me 😄
gentlefloof..LOVE that!
No matter how anxious he got, he kept showing all was forgiven and he still wanted to be fwends ❤
He’s fidgety, but very friendly.
He looks very handsome, post-groom.
Vanessa's quiet determination to GET THAT DOG DRY is not only humorous but admirable. Absolute star for her efforts.
he is going to feel so much better to be rid of all his undercoat- I love seeing how you adapt to the physical and mental needs of each dog- even if you get a bath with them. Such patience and adaptation to meet his needs.
Furnado!!! 🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪
I love this dog. He’s so playful and handsome
The disability with Chiku's leg obviously isn't ideal, but he can still chase a ball pretty well, as it seems. Good for him! What a lovely mischievous boy. I'm always happy to hear that a disabled dog has a good home with loving owners.
I love his non-reaction to the "distraction sounds". _"You can't trick me, I know you're not a dog!"_
Dogs and cats just adapt to whatever they are given. It's so inspiring
I love when you include rescues and mutts. It's interesting learning about different breeds, but showing how wonderful rescue pups are is even better!
I love how you always emphasize what‘s best for the dog and not necessarily what‘s most convenient for the groomer!
Why are shepherd/husky mixes all so cute though? Ridiculously good looking dogs.
I have a shepherd/husky mix (with a tiny bit of malamute). She is the cutest girl ever! Not that I’m biased though. 😂
We have a shepherd/husky/malamute/rottie mix that we rescued. He is the loveliest, sweetest boy. Just big 😁
Once upon a time it was collie-shepherds. Hairy too!
Absolutely adorable!!!❤❤❤
I think a lot of herding group mixes are very handsome.
I can totally see why his owners fell in love with him and adopted him.
What a fun and loving dog!
Well, Vanessa is covered in soapy water and dog fart, but the fluffer is clean! He’s just adorable and looks soooo soft!
That bark sounded unmistakably shepherd! My next door neighbour’s German shepherd heard it from my tv and barked back. They sound so similar 😂
😂😂 the neighbors’ dog was sending his sympathies
I know exactly what you mean! Our neighbors have a Jack Russell Terrier that sounds just like ours when it barks. Even has the same cadence & tone on his alarm barks - a series of 5 barks in rapid succession. Dogs are so cool! ❤🩷🧡💛🐕🦺💚🩵💙💜
lol he yawped and I was like "yep that's a husky" and then right after he barked and I was like "and there's the shepherd" haha.
@@erinbailey4631🤣😂😂🤣😂
The last part of the video is why I love watching her so much!! She’s so warm and loving to the pups. Even when they can be a handful. Some groomers on TH-cam are very dry and aren’t very compassionate 🥴. But it’s always a laugh, good breed info and doggie love on her videos 😝
This boy understands every word but chooses not to speak English
Like most kids
Shakes like a husky, and whines like a Shepherd. 😅 Such a good boy sharing his bath with you.
My GSD mix did NOT stop nose-whistling lmao. Constant squeals.
He always has the most excited look on his face when he finishes shaking. Almost like, “Look what I did!”
Every dog that is afraid of the blow dryer is thinking, “OMG Vanessa. It’s says right on the label, ‘AIR TUBE OF DEATH’!! Can’t you see that?!!” 🤣
What a gorgeous sweet boy! 🤩
TBH I think it's the noise for some of them. I had a pug mix who was so brave ❤ always trying to save me from hair dryers and vacuum cleaners.
Initially I was thinking, "Husky mix? I don't see it."
Then came the furnado.
@@MonkeyJedi99Thought the same thing. "Not enough wailing to the ancestors". But there was a bit there toward the end of the table drying. 😅
JESUS CHRIST BLESS THIS BEAUTIFUL SWEETIE,,HEAL HIM, GIVE HIM LOVING CARING OWNER AND REAL FOREVER HOME ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can tell he’s a rescue, but still well behaved. Great job every animal deserves to be pampered once in life. Even against their will.
As someone with chronic back, knee, & neck pain, I definitely relate to this dog who can't comfortably stand/sit/lay down. 😖 So proud of this disabled puppers for getting through the groom! He's gorgeous! 😘
I suspect all the warmth and her gentle touch feels really good!
Yes! When I was bedridden I was like wow the only thing I can do now is…hover?
10:12 he found a perfect hiding spot! How could you possibly see him there, Vanessa and the cruel blow dryer! 😂❤
I think he just thought like: Okay, have my body, just let me keep my head. 😆 And another thought: What a windy place it has become!
He is shaking cause he wants you clean as well
😂😂😂
🤣
Misery DOES love company 😂
He helping
sharing is caring
If he doesn’t use his leg at all would it be better to get it amputated? It eliminates the risk of that leg getting further damaged and then he wouldn’t have to be holding it up the entire time. He’s such a cutie though ❤❤
Vanessa, you have shown such compassion, patience, playfulness, and respect for all the animals you come in contact with it is so comforting to know people like you exist. THANK YOU.
He is one beautiful combo of genes. His coloring is the best. His coat was so beautiful after you brushed it. And his teeth were super white. Such a handsome boy.
sometimes you get lucky like that. I knew a guy who had a half rottweiler-half lab and he wound up with a dog that had the intelligence of both breeds, the protective instincts and determination of the rottweiler with the overall sweet and laid back attitude of a lab, and he was fairly easy to train like a lab and since he looked like a muscular lab rather then like a rottweiler people treated him more like a lab.
Muts are the best dogs😍 What they lack in pedigree they make up for with personality
They can really be the best of both worlds, or three worlds, maybe four worlds lol
Plus they are far less likely to inherit genetic issues. ❤ I've had almost exclusively mutt rescues and they have all been a bit to smart for my life to be easy 😂 but very loving and special pups each one.
@@mom.left.me.at.michaels9951 Dogs don’t exist to make our lives easy, their purpose is to make our lives interesting. Which is why I love terriers, life is never boring with a terrier.
Mutts are my favorite breed. I love it when strangers ask, "What breed?" I return with, "Dunno. What do you think?"
@@authenticpoppy Mine's always been, "Heinz 57!" All 57 spices are most definitely in there...
I can see why the owner fell in love ❤️
He is so sweet, he wanted to return the favor and give you a bath too! Very thoughtful
My cat loves watching these videos with me. I love watching the cat videos. Our cat is 16 months old. She is a rescue and was a bottle baby. She is a domestic long hair. I groom her, clip her nails every 3 weeks, brush her teeth and handle her constantly. Thanks to watching your videos I know that I should be bathing her about 2 x a year, so hopefully when she is a nice old lady and no longer able to groom herself, I will be able to bathe her. Thank you for everything you do for these pups, cats, and owners that need your help. You are amazing.
Omg when he hid his head behind the chair like “Yous can’t see me now!” ❤❤❤
Exactly!!!
My son's GS does that, but his hiding spot is under the glass table or behind his grandad.
“Imma let you finish but first-“ *shakes*
We had a silly Aussie-lab mix. When we would bathe her, she wanted to shake, but would stop when we would yell 'Nope, not yet!' She would wait long enough for us to get behind the shower curtain then would have lots of fun, sending suds & water EVERYWHERE. I still miss her, even though there are 2 new rescues here, years later.
😂😂😂
Chiku has one of the best personalities! What a love bug. I was wondering about his disabilities... then I saw, the hind quarters. No matter, he is loved and cared for! Yay!
I would never “backyard” breed to get a desired animal, but OMG!! The GSD & Husky combo is justifiably BEAUTIFUL!! LOL
His face is so dang gorgeous, I can’t even stand it!! 😍😍
At least the shepherd silenced the call to sons the song of his people. He’s such sweetie. I’m so jealous of his family but also happy he has one. Rescues are a special kind of animal, they really show their appreciation with love and kindness.
He is a beautiful dog. Who had a hard start in life. He is so full of energy and love thank you to his great owners.
Chiku is adorable. Love his tilts. Noticed he stopped shaking coat after the soap was rinsed off.
Chiku: give me those nail clippers. I'll do it myself.
He's definitely a playful pup. Wonder if the owners looked into a leg brace for him to give enough support, so he put his leg down.
He seems like the type that would devote his time to chewing anything off his person.
@@bonnieweeks7601😂😂
He is quite handsome !! I wish him and his family a long happy life together !!! ❤😊
He was so sweet! Even with his little “love bites” - what a character of a dog he is.
Six months ago, I would never have thought this would be my favorite channel. Live and learn. ;)
10 seconds into the video and this dog is a cutie patootie! ❤
The thing about pets with disabilities is that they have no awareness that they are different. They adapt to their disability and to their world with ease and grace and just want to be loved, like any other pet. I adopted a kitten who had extremely limited vision in one eye as a kitten. She was indoors only (as all my cats are), was an amazing little creature with an incredible sense of people, and lived to be twenty years old. We were blessed every second she was in our lives. The vet always told us the eye thing didn't bother her: it didn't make a difference in her ability to jump, interact with our other cats, etc. She adapted. The dog featured today is loving, playful, and adorable. It sounds like his family love him dearly. And he seems to have adapted to his leg issue. He is a wonderful, wonderful dog.
I also have a 3 legged dog who had growth plate deformations on her left front leg. In her case the rescue decided it would be best to amputate the leg. Mikka was 9 months old when she had the surgery. I think because she was young and wasn’t using the leg her body was able to adapt quickly to the amputation. She was probable not putting weight on the that leg so the adjustment was almost immediate. When a dog loses his leg due to an accident I think it’s more difficult to adjust especially for bigger dogs. Mikka our tripod is turning 5 years this July and is active and loving and enjoying enjoying life
Lucky Boy to have a good home, he wants you clean too! He turned out beautiful.
His face is so expressive ❤❤
10:55 he’s like “ouch, pink square spicy”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He reminds me of my Bear Bear with the biting of the hands. Bear Bear would do that when he wanted his chest rubbed. He was a mess. He was German Shepherd Great Pyrenees mix. He had the long hair of the Great Pyrenees and the looks of the shepherd. He was the sweetest, playful, and protective dog ever. It's been 3 years since he passed, and I haven't gotten another pup and probably never will.
Omg this dog is so adorable! And he did so well! His owners did a great job on both training and socialization
Tsunami, Furnado, Cardio and the Songs of my People in a fluffy beautiful package. I think I might be in love!
AAAWWWW! I can totally understand why his family fell in love with him. He's such a beautiful goofy pup. 🥰 And he turned into an even more beautiful floofball after grooming 😊 It's such a joy watching these videos 🙂
"No brush. Play." What an amazing dog. Must be great to have him as a companion.
He has a beautiful temperament.
Cleanliness is close to Godliness. He’s just being kind 😂😂😂. Such a sweet boy!
His behaviour on the floor was just like my dog when young. So playful and fun. Even now (at 16) she’ll get into play mode when her harness and lead come out. He’s wonderful! ❤
Humor meets skill in the perfectly stated words
Holly Guacamole !! Thank you once again Vanessa for a beautiful groom and your beautiful spirit
He is one of those heart dogs.
That nibbling and play time was SO adorable. It was a cute side to see. I felt like I was playing with him too. What a beautiful boi and a job well done!
He's a very handsome boy ❤️
Funny is the right word, other than adorable. Him trying to distract you with playing is the sweetest thing.
Poor pup, he's my heart dog! I can't sit stand or lie for long because of my back - I have every sympathy for you sweetheart! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm guessing those brushes sound much more harsh in a microphone than they really are. (Or I've been using wimpy ones!) 😂
Your videos are so much more than dog/cat grooming, Vanessa. You're bringing Light in this old world.
Bless you 😊❤
Paz y luz ✨️ to all
The owner is lucky, this dog is endless fun.
🇮🇱 !!
@lindaharner9245 You're a sad person
He looks so soft and fluffy..what a sweet loving fur baby. He just wanted you to get a bath at the same time..sharing is caring...lol.
What a beautiful rescue..and thanks to his forever family for taking him in and giving him a wonderful home. ❤
He really does have beautiful, expressive eyes.
He looks like such a happy dog 🐕🥰 I really love and appreciate how she cares about the animals she works with. ❤️
I am always amazed at what you get when drying a double-coated dog. That undercoat shed is incredible!
lol, my son takes the deshedding tool outside with him three or four times a week when he takes his husky mix out. It looks like there has been some sort of odd snowstorm out there after he goes after that coat. The amount of white undercoat is shocking, we would be walking around up to our ankles if he didn’t keep after that coat.
omg, who wouldn't fall in love with that face. Bless the family that loves him so well.
Wow! Watching him run at the end of the video really showed off all of your hard work! His coat looked stunning! Great job!
at 15:26 reminds me of grooming my malamute lab mix. sitting on the floor with piles of fur all around and a dog that wants to play
Thank you for giving him so much TLC❤ He and almost all the dogs you’ve groomed like their facial and head massage! He looks at you often and be has a beautiful smile. What a good dog ❤ I’m definitely giving a donation to your fundraising event in July to help the senior dogs rescue. I just donated to the Mutts Rescue now. Thank you for what you do.
So cute, despite his disability of his other leg.❤❤❤❤❤
One of the most gorgeous dogs you've groomed.
He definitely has the crazy puppy energy. He was well behaved, looked amazing after his groom and is obviously well loved and cared for by his family.
He's very clever trying to distract you by playing with you🤣🤣 made me laugh
Gorgeous with very white teeth...no singing, just soaking of Vanessa...glad he has his peeps...
great job
I love that you showed him play nipping. My dog does the same when you touch his feet. A lot of people see it as an aggressive thing when it’s definitely not, and seeing the difference in your reaction between this dog and the fear aggression in some other dogs you’ve groomed is great!
I had three spinal surgeries and my legs don't work well either. I love you Little Buddy you are adorable.❤❤
OMG he is sooooo cute! I can't blame the owners for falling in love. ♥ Also, I never knew that the play sneezing was a sign of friendliness. Our dog would do that all the time, and we would just sneeze back without thinking. No wonder she loved us so much. ♥♥
Chiku is so cute. My dog Beau is a rescue husky/shepherd mix from the same area in Northern Ontario near the Manitoba border. Dryden area. He is by far the best rescue I have ever adopted. Drove almost 4 hours one way to get him. We have been together 3 years and I believe he is about 7 or 8 now. Sweet dog. I have always adopted rescues, some elderly dogs also.
I can see why his family fell in love with him. He’s a great dog and he’s so beautiful. ❤️
I love your work with rescues, mixed breeds and delicate senior dogs, more than any other videos.
Pretty puppy. Very well behaved, generally. Soap bad, water good. Too funny. Did not like the blower but took it like a trooper as long as possible. Love people that adopt and take care of the handicapped creatures.
He looked so happy at the end and loved to play with you🐾🐾❣️✌️💋💋💋
Geeez, your eye-hand-clipper-nail-moving doggo coordination is top notch!
His eyes are so cute 😊
Chiku thought that you needed a bath too, Vanessa. Hilarious 😂
He's such a sweet doggo 🥰
Don’t look behind the chair Vanessa… Chico is not there! LOL…. 😂 😂. He is so handsome.. his coat is gorgeous, especially after his bath and semi-dry.
Thank you for always going the extra mile to meet the needs of each individual dog ❤
I've watched two or three other channels with grooming. While all are kind to the animals, you are definitely the most patient and friendly one
He's still in the mouthing phase. LOL. What a sweet dog.
What a beautiful boy! And so sweet, despite being stressed out now and then.
I love his one flopped ear. So cute 😊
What a handsome, smart, humorous dog! He looks gorgeous after his grooming.
A huge, handsome, good-natured, lovable, playful, ball of fluff!
Beautiful dog and his mouthing of your hand to distract you is classic. He is a good boy.
I have a 3-legged Boston Terrier. He’s more comfortable, much happier and gets around better now than when he had 4 legs. I didn’t realize when you remove a leg it makes the pupper twice as fast…literally 😁 I wonder if his fur-parents have looked into having that leg removed. With it gone he wouldn’t have any discomfort anymore. It does cost $. Squidgy’s surgery came to $800 (we got a discount due to ex-daughter in law worked there. But even if we had to pay more I’d do it all over again. Either way I’m happy Chiku got a loving home. He’s such a fluffy goofy good boy!
My “step dog” is a doodle (an angel compared to the ones often featured here) who injured her rear leg. The vet (I, as a good step mom, went with mom to the vet) told us that smaller dogs do just fine with a back leg removed due to their shape and size, but it can be harder for larger dogs to cope. In fact he said that under about 40 pounds a lot of dogs “do just fine with two legs”. Luckily for us it was a temporary injury but it was good info to learn. My point: different dogs, different needs (but your point is well taken of course). And here, the leg isn’t being used anyway, so removal might make no difference at all to how this dog ambulates! But thought I’d relate the story for anyone else in a similar situation.
The Asher House had a dog with a back leg removed and he couldnt get up by himself.
