@@seresamgala8125 Agreed. GSD's can seem a bit dodo like until you unless you get use to them. It's the head tilt that makes them look like their a bit ditzy. But those dogs are always on top of their game. However, that husky side was there the GSD side just kept him calm.

Now I've learned his head tilts are a sign of curiosity and genuinely wanting to understand. Once he understands something, he stops tilting his head at it. And he figures things out FAST.
Some of these mixes... I had a Belgian shepherd/Border collie once. There was no grooming like this. It was just pursuit with a brush until he gave up! Clip one or two nails a day. It was never-ending. Like you said, 2 seconds into knowing him, I knew it was going to be crazy!
he is going to feel so much better to be rid of all his undercoat- I love seeing how you adapt to the physical and mental needs of each dog- even if you get a bath with them. Such patience and adaptation to meet his needs.
Disabled since age 23 (both legs). Will be 52 this year. I totally get the "can't stand for too long, can't sit for too long" thing. It usually takes me ages to get even a little bit comfortable. YT distracts me hugely. Thank you for making the most entertaining videos out there, Vanessa!
The disability with Chiku's leg obviously isn't ideal, but he can still chase a ball pretty well, as it seems. Good for him! What a lovely mischievous boy. I'm always happy to hear that a disabled dog has a good home with loving owners. I love his non-reaction to the "distraction sounds". _"You can't trick me, I know you're not a dog!"_
The last part of the video is why I love watching her so much!! She’s so warm and loving to the pups. Even when they can be a handful. Some groomers on TH-cam are very dry and aren’t very compassionate 🥴. But it’s always a laugh, good breed info and doggie love on her videos 😝
Well, Vanessa is covered in soapy water and dog fart, but the fluffer is clean! He’s just adorable and looks soooo soft! That bark sounded unmistakably shepherd! My next door neighbour’s German shepherd heard it from my tv and barked back. They sound so similar 😂
I know exactly what you mean! Our neighbors have a Jack Russell Terrier that sounds just like ours when it barks. Even has the same cadence & tone on his alarm barks - a series of 5 barks in rapid succession. Dogs are so cool! ❤🩷🧡💛🐕🦺💚🩵💙💜
Plus they are far less likely to inherit genetic issues. ❤ I've had almost exclusively mutt rescues and they have all been a bit to smart for my life to be easy 😂 but very loving and special pups each one.

As someone with chronic back, knee, & neck pain, I definitely relate to this dog who can't comfortably stand/sit/lay down. 😖 So proud of this disabled puppers for getting through the groom! He's gorgeous! 😘
lol, my son takes the deshedding tool outside with him three or four times a week when he takes his husky mix out. It looks like there has been some sort of odd snowstorm out there after he goes after that coat. The amount of white undercoat is shocking, we would be walking around up to our ankles if he didn’t keep after that coat.
I would never “backyard” breed to get a desired animal, but OMG!! The GSD & Husky combo is justifiably BEAUTIFUL!! LOL His face is so dang gorgeous, I can’t even stand it!! 😍😍
The thing about pets with disabilities is that they have no awareness that they are different. They adapt to their disability and to their world with ease and grace and just want to be loved, like any other pet. I adopted a kitten who had extremely limited vision in one eye as a kitten. She was indoors only (as all my cats are), was an amazing little creature with an incredible sense of people, and lived to be twenty years old. We were blessed every second she was in our lives. The vet always told us the eye thing didn't bother her: it didn't make a difference in her ability to jump, interact with our other cats, etc. She adapted. The dog featured today is loving, playful, and adorable. It sounds like his family love him dearly. And he seems to have adapted to his leg issue. He is a wonderful, wonderful dog.
I also have a 3 legged dog who had growth plate deformations on her left front leg. In her case the rescue decided it would be best to amputate the leg. Mikka was 9 months old when she had the surgery. I think because she was young and wasn’t using the leg her body was able to adapt quickly to the amputation. She was probable not putting weight on the that leg so the adjustment was almost immediate. When a dog loses his leg due to an accident I think it’s more difficult to adjust especially for bigger dogs. Mikka our tripod is turning 5 years this July and is active and loving and enjoying enjoying life

We had a silly Aussie-lab mix. When we would bathe her, she wanted to shake, but would stop when we would yell 'Nope, not yet!' She would wait long enough for us to get behind the shower curtain then would have lots of fun, sending suds & water EVERYWHERE. I still miss her, even though there are 2 new rescues here, years later.
He is one beautiful combo of genes. His coloring is the best. His coat was so beautiful after you brushed it. And his teeth were super white. Such a handsome boy.
sometimes you get lucky like that. I knew a guy who had a half rottweiler-half lab and he wound up with a dog that had the intelligence of both breeds, the protective instincts and determination of the rottweiler with the overall sweet and laid back attitude of a lab, and he was fairly easy to train like a lab and since he looked like a muscular lab rather then like a rottweiler people treated him more like a lab.
Chiku has one of the best personalities! What a love bug. I was wondering about his disabilities... then I saw, the hind quarters. No matter, he is loved and cared for! Yay!
Chiku is adorable. Love his tilts. Noticed he stopped shaking coat after the soap was rinsed off. Chiku: give me those nail clippers. I'll do it myself. He's definitely a playful pup. Wonder if the owners looked into a leg brace for him to give enough support, so he put his leg down.

I love that you showed him play nipping. My dog does the same when you touch his feet. A lot of people see it as an aggressive thing when it’s definitely not, and seeing the difference in your reaction between this dog and the fear aggression in some other dogs you’ve groomed is great!
oh that's what sneezing means. There's a dog in my neighborhood and I always give him pets, he follows me along the fence of his household and he wags his tail and sneezes. He is truly a sweetheart. I love being friends with dogs around town since I don't have my own anymore. His name is Chico and he has a cat for brother, named Pingo. The cat comes to me and lays on the floor for pets as well. Their owner is a sweet old lady.
If he doesn’t use his leg at all would it be better to get it amputated? It eliminates the risk of that leg getting further damaged and then he wouldn’t have to be holding it up the entire time. He’s such a cutie though ❤❤
He reminds me of my Bear Bear with the biting of the hands. Bear Bear would do that when he wanted his chest rubbed. He was a mess. He was German Shepherd Great Pyrenees mix. He had the long hair of the Great Pyrenees and the looks of the shepherd. He was the sweetest, playful, and protective dog ever. It's been 3 years since he passed, and I haven't gotten another pup and probably never will.
His behaviour on the floor was just like my dog when young. So playful and fun. Even now (at 16) she’ll get into play mode when her harness and lead come out. He’s wonderful! ❤
That nibbling and play time was SO adorable. It was a cute side to see. I felt like I was playing with him too. What a beautiful boi and a job well done!

Who wouldn't fall with Chiku?? Such a wonderful personality! Sad his legs aren't all good, but it doesn't seem to bother him much. So playful and trusting they've been doing a wonderful job with Chiku!
I have a 3-legged Boston Terrier. He’s more comfortable, much happier and gets around better now than when he had 4 legs. I didn’t realize when you remove a leg it makes the pupper twice as fast…literally 😁 I wonder if his fur-parents have looked into having that leg removed. With it gone he wouldn’t have any discomfort anymore. It does cost $. Squidgy’s surgery came to $800 (we got a discount due to ex-daughter in law worked there. But even if we had to pay more I’d do it all over again. Either way I’m happy Chiku got a loving home. He’s such a fluffy goofy good boy!
My “step dog” is a doodle (an angel compared to the ones often featured here) who injured her rear leg. The vet (I, as a good step mom, went with mom to the vet) told us that smaller dogs do just fine with a back leg removed due to their shape and size, but it can be harder for larger dogs to cope. In fact he said that under about 40 pounds a lot of dogs “do just fine with two legs”. Luckily for us it was a temporary injury but it was good info to learn. My point: different dogs, different needs (but your point is well taken of course). And here, the leg isn’t being used anyway, so removal might make no difference at all to how this dog ambulates! But thought I’d relate the story for anyone else in a similar situation.
So now if I hide my head behind this chair she can’t see me😅 lol.

TBH I think it's the noise for some of them. I had a pug mix who was so brave ❤ always trying to save me from hair dryers and vacuum cleaners.

Who wouldn't fall with Chiku?? Such a wonderful personality! Sad his legs aren't all good, but it doesn't seem to bother him much. So playful and trusting they've been doing a wonderful job with Chiku!

I have a 3-legged Boston Terrier. He’s more comfortable, much happier and gets around better now than when he had 4 legs. I didn’t realize when you remove a leg it makes the pupper twice as fast…literally 😁 I wonder if his fur-parents have looked into having that leg removed. With it gone he wouldn’t have any discomfort anymore. It does cost $. Squidgy’s surgery came to $800 (we got a discount due to ex-daughter in law worked there. But even if we had to pay more I’d do it all over again. Either way I’m happy Chiku got a loving home. He’s such a fluffy goofy good boy!
My “step dog” is a doodle (an angel compared to the ones often featured here) who injured her rear leg. The vet (I, as a good step mom, went with mom to the vet) told us that smaller dogs do just fine with a back leg removed due to their shape and size, but it can be harder for larger dogs to cope. In fact he said that under about 40 pounds a lot of dogs “do just fine with two legs”. Luckily for us it was a temporary injury but it was good info to learn. My point: different dogs, different needs (but your point is well taken of course). And here, the leg isn’t being used anyway, so removal might make no difference at all to how this dog ambulates! But thought I’d relate the story for anyone else in a similar situation.
The Asher House had a dog with a back leg removed and he couldnt get up by himself.
