Maybe if Paulogia could do a joint show with some of the biggest names. Aron Ra's got similar interests and does regular live shows. I'd watch such a show.

    When I hear a creationist proclaim that their God is so powerful that it didn't need millions of years, I always wonder why their God needed six days.

    Judging from the size of the people in the "Tower of Babel" scene, the tower is not more than 500 feet high. Almost every city over 1 million people has a taller building than that. For some reason, God hasn't smoted any of them.

    • @sagerider2
      @sagerider2 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, we showed the old fraud the door a long time ago. There really is a tower of Babel, it's in Babylonia. It's called a ziggurat. Babylon is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Babel.

    I fully agree with Mary Schweitzer that all creationists make their God seem smaller with every lie they tell. It's a point I've made in a number of my videos. Bodie only thinks the opposite because he believes magic is real and therefore that wizards are more powerful than muggles. If he were to somehow manage to step outside the kindergarten classroom that he lives his life in for even a moment and look objectively at the world, he'd discover how childishly and laughably puerile his world-view is and exactly how much he's been insulting his god and its creation. Not holding my breath though. His kind don't have even the slightest soupcon of the kind of humility needed to even consider the possibility of being wrong about anything.

    • @manusiabumi7673
      @manusiabumi7673 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Qur'an uses male pronoun in describing god, but that has more to do with the grammatical rules of the arabic language rather than the actual gender of god (islamic god is genderless) and the fact that there's no gender-neutral pronoun in arabic, could something similar happen to the Bible (in its original language) that is unfortunately lost in translation?

    I went to the Holy Land Experience on a field trip in 7th grade (Christian private school). It was... okay. Even when I was a Christian, it wasn’t as exciting as a few hours at the Smithsonian aerospace museum that was half closed for renovations (part of the prior year’s field trip). The organizing teacher did admit that it was used to justify a trip to Sea World.

      If you allow me to not eat pig's meat for the reason that my religion won't allow it because you are for freedom of religion, then you also have to allow people to deny their children blood transfusions and let the children die if their religion is against that and for death. Mostly, I think he's wandering in lala land. Most christians are sane. It's the insane ones that are the problem. Dr Ken Miller is a christian & an evolutionary biologist, he testified in the Kitzmiller vs Dover case against the school board. Dr Francis Collins is head of the human genome project, a christian as well.
      It's just the nutters that "scream everything in the bible is true & we must defend it to the death, & there is no contradiction, because by god, I ain't gonna read it. I'm Just gonna take Hamwich or CumFart's opinion on things as sheer facts." Those, are the enemies.

      Guitar, well, Catholics used to let priests marry. Because Jebus said, he must work along side his flock or how will he understand their problems. That would certainly cut into the pedophilia.
      So Pat Robertson should go work at a gas station during the week. And Hamwhich should have gone & helped build the Ark. But no, they don't believe any of that shit. Including god, I'm sure.

    So basically, according to AIG, Dr. Schweitzer's findings are valid but she is incompetent to interpret her own findings. These AIG people, who basically do absolutely no field research or have discovered nothing, are more qualified.

    Did you all know that answers in genesis' youtube videos of their show have comments disabled.. Why am I not surprised? Christian ideology is a one way street.
    Usually I attribute this to a liberal ideology but it fits Christianity so well...."aside from telling you EXACTLY how to live your life, they want nothing to do with you." Remember when you were little, and in church when you raised your hand because you thought you were allowed to ask questions? That was my first real lesson on religion. "YOU NEVER QUESTION IT" Well, I had a lot of questions, and I found the answers in a science book. In the bible all I found was contradiction and a blindfold.

      daniel letterman I'm not an expert on it, but the bone is probably being replaced by granite or some other rock. Even if the rock contained carbon, it wouldn't be the carbon that's absorbed during the animal's lifetime, so it can't be used to date it.

      To add to the explanation (and I may well be wrong) there's also an issue of Carbon 14's half life. Every (according to mathcentral.uregina.ca/beyond/articles/ExpDecay/Carbon14.html) every 5730 years for about half the carbon 14 in a sample to decay into nitrogen 14 and other particles. So based on the ammount left in a sample you can figure out the age. But as time goes on more and more decays until what little left is far to small to measure and the test no longer works.

    Bodie Hodge at AiG believes that if legends and rituals from different places have similarities, they must all go back to a common origin from one place and time - and indeed, he thinks everything can be traced back this way to something real. (Which just happens to point to his particular favorite version as the true one.)
    But do seemingly different groups of animals or plants with shared attributes go back to common ancestors, to the point where we we can trace them all back in time on a single evolutionary tree? Of course not!

    I hate to say it, but AIG was right when they said that Dr. Schweitzer used to be (but is no longer) a young Earth creationist. She briefly mentioned it during her interview on Pine Creek's channel. I happened to listen to that interview immediately before watching this and AIG relayed the story about her conversation accurately, they just omitted the part where Jack Horner, after telling her he was an atheist, sat her down and laid out all the reasons why we know the earth is old which is why she is no longer a YEC.

    Sometimes, there is no way to avoid using terms or phrases that will be abused by Creationists. No one can twist the English language like creationists. Would almost make one think they're servants of the Devil, if you believed in such things.
    Also, I don't think I'm having any audio problems with the Charlie Brown clips. Mary's clips from the Steve McRae hangout have some audio problems, but I think that's her acoustic environment.
