Slightly sad knowing that you guys are leaving that area, really enjoyed getting to know Seattle and the surroundings through your eyes. But new adventures await, new cruising grounds and hopefully warmer weather that you share with us.
I have simpli safe on my Meridian and it is excellent. You really don't need that fob. The app works terrific. The thing is simple, inexpensive and the exterior camera is amazing. Color camera with night mode and a 6 month rechargeable battery. It's great when we leave the boat and it makes my wife feel very same when I go home and she stays on the boat. Also, one of the very few companies that have US based customer service that speaks English is polite and accurate. Good luck with yours. No doubt you will be pleased.
I have used SimpliSafe for 4 years +, and upgrade to current model. Excellent service and works without issues. I use their water alarm to monitor water leaks, works great.
I have always loved the location of your videos; in locations that I could realistically journey. That was something that initially attracted me to your videos/channel. I do look forward to seeing you when you travel south, and will continue watching your journey.

I love the Pacific Northwest but there is one reason why I could never ever live there near the coast, it’s called the cascadia subduction zone.
No PD (Polar Dip) this year? Is this part of your acclimating strategy for warmer neighborhoods? You guys were so close to Fort Warden (Port Townsend) where they filmed 'An Officer and a Gentleman". The barracks and officer housing from that time period are still there and available to rent.
Sadly no polar plunge, the water temp hovered around 40 degrees F and air temps were low 30s for a couple of weeks, so we had plenty of time to talk ourselves out of it 😉
M/V Alyeska (a Selene 47) has been very similarly security-equipped since July 2021. The ease of configuration, and convenience of remote monitoring and recording are well worth the modest expense!

I have SimpliSafe on my boat as well, and I also have a movement sensor that alerts me if the boat moves and its current location. I've been very pleased.

Hi. My wife and I are looking at purchasing a Nordhavn 43. It has a lot of blistering on the window frames and around the hinges on the doors. In your videos, your windows look pristine. Did you have them sandblasted and repainted. If so, who did it and what did it cost. Thanks, Barry and Irene
We have a small dog and learned we have to put it in “home“ mode otherwise when he moves around he sets off the alarm. It’s a terrible experience for him!

So whats wild is there are SO many better solutions. You could do a real security system, like a home system, but use a cellular communicator. You'd want to have a local security company install it but with a few wireless sensors the cost would be low.
We were excited to learn about the SimpliSafe system until we found out it only works with WiFi not with a hot spot system such as anchoring out. Still for some sort of boat security system that does no use WiFi.

When I watch the connection Shawn has with Mr Sulley and now Miss Martha it reminds me of myself and my dog Katie. When a dog wants to cuddle with a human, you can assume that person is to be trusted. I have a policy. I don't go anywhere without Katie and if she isn't welcome, then I just don't go. Safe travels!
Cut those chicken breasts in half Laterally so that they are thinner. It helps them cook more evenly and soak up more of the sauce and condiment flavor.

It's always good to have a level of security on your boat.
I just prayed the outside components hold up to the Sea/Salt Air.
At well under $200 for an outdoor camera, it doesn't seem like much of a loss to replace one every couple of years.
