Minor quibble about the imagery on the VA 243 cylinder seal impression: the figures with horned headdresses are both gods. The human in the scene is the one on the left, without horns. This type of scene is called a “Presentation Scene,” and shows a minor god interceding between the human and a major god (i.e., the minor god is presenting the human to the major god). The human here is carrying a sacrificial goat. The horned headdresses are markers of divinity, and Naram-Sin only starts being depicted wearing one late in his reign, after he’s declared himself divine.
@@WorldofAntiquity Don't be embarrassed! It's pretty esoteric stuff, and I only chimed in because I was working on a lesson about cylinder seals for my students, so this was on the top of my mind, when I saw your video.
@@WorldofAntiquity You could always keep a list of errors and do an errors video correcting mistakes. No one can know everything so mistakes are bound to happen from time to time.
While we are correcting mistakes: Mr. Zimmerman, can you change the transliteration of the "pu-abi" seal that you and Zettler give on page 288 in "TWO TOMBS OR THREE? PG 789 AND PG 800 AGAIN!" from PÚ to PÙ? At least on the academia edu version. I guess it was a typo (PÚ being LAGABxU and PÙ being KAxKÁR), but the hapax nature of that name makes understanding it already difficult enough to have misinformation floating around out there.🙃
Man the amount of research you must do is incredible. Thank you for doing this. I'm extremely interested in these topics and there's so much rubbish out there it's great to find someone clearing it up a bit.
So much research? Can't even look at a high school history book? Still waiting for this guy to prove his assertions rather than just talk. Get some volunteers and carve a perfect 500 ton block of stone with primitive technology, and move it even an inch. When he makes that video I will be interested.
@@Whitewater_and_Wild_Mushrooms I gave him a shot too. I thought to myself "Maybe I AM missing something or just WANT to believe" But after watching many of his videos and comparing what he claims to what is known fact I am unimpressed and unsubscribed.
How would you respond to the critics who say that you are dismissing evidence to claim the a priori bias that your science is factual? There has been a lot of evidence that has been dismissed, so how can you reconcile that? We all know that science is just interpretation of data, so how would your interpretation be truthful compared to someone else's interpretation of the same data sets? I know, I know, if they don't agree with your interpretation, then they are just pseudo-scientists. But then, if they went to the same university as you, had comparable grades as you, and did as many research studies and peer reviewed articles as you, then how do you prove your interpretation is not pseudo-science? The reason why there are so many "conspiracy theories" is because it has been your side who has not been afraid to make hoaxes and deny evidence. Piltdown Man is just one example. For years, your side taught that was absolute fact, but turns out it was just a hoax. Unless your side addresses that there are indeed scientists on your side willing to hoax, then you will always have to challenge "conspiracy theorists" because their theory is that it is your side in the conspiracy. Research is simply research, interpretation is what is offered.
Brilliant so Zachariah Sitchen was more fluent at Ancient Hebrew than his Rabbi when Zachariah was 8 yrs old. He died less than ten years ago and there are over 8 decades that this Brilliant scholar has been studying Ancient Sumeria and he worked putting dead languages back to life and could speak Sumerian Cuneiform and Akkadian Cuneiform before You couple of years part timers. Look up the meeting with Zachariah Sitchen and professor Harrington from NASA JPL they both individually projected Nibiru's orbit and they were identical. Many Astronauts have also complimented Zachariah Sitchen's work on the Solar system which he translated from the Sumerian Cuneiform with the orbits of even Pluto and every planet we have now where did You imagine such accuracy not even discovered by the establishment at the time as usual. Work out how much effort the church put into trying to ruin Zachariah Sitchen. The stupid girl in this interview didn't seem to know what planet she was on or when her periods are due. Looking through some of your comment threads, I see that fairly often you get criticized for being "too sarcastic" and the like. I think that from a persuasion standpoint you've got it just about right, but watching the clips (and in the past, some of the LAHT crowd's whole videos) I'm impressed with how well you're able to hold yourself back. ;) 1) These guys spend their whole videos sneering at "mainstream" "orthodox" archaeologists and historians and accusing them of being part of an evil cabal out to deliberately hide the truth from us. 2) Then, with nearly unlimited cockiness, they toss out their hypotheses as Proven Fact on the flimsiest of evidence ("Look! A picture of one circle surrounded by a bunch of other circles, but I can't be arsed to find out what the rest of the pictures are or what the text says!"), and from there they often climb out on an even thinner branch of wild speculation of the "so they *must* have had psionic power crystals!" variety. 3) They do this without even knowing what the "mainstream" "orthodox" archaeologists and historians think or why they think it. 4) Because the "mainstream" "orthodox" scholar they're actually sneering at is their high school history teacher, and the three-page chapter on the Sumerians (or Egyptians, Mayans, or whoever) in their school textbook, from which they were expected to extract a few names and dates to regurgitate for a test at the end of the week. It would be one thing if these folks could fairly represent the mainstream position and the evidence used to get there, and still make compelling arguments for their own side. Heck, I wish they could, because who wouldn't want to discover a mysterious ancient lost civilization rich in astonishing capabilities and deep esoteric wisdom?
I'm fortunate to not know any of these clowns personally, or I'd show them a Pimp's Love. This dude's restraint should qualify him for sainthood in Sumerian, Zoroastrian, or any number of religions...
They also lack critical thinking as well as knowledge of the real past. These people almost always default to the Bible or Homer or other non-historical accounts. Their method is that of apologists like William Lame Craig: 1. make a supposition, 2. state that the supposition being true proves hypothesis x, 3. Hypothesis x being true, Theory Y is true, 4. Repeat ad nauseam.
Just imagine the truth that was discovered in the great ancient library of Alexandria. Then all of a sudden it was burned to the ground. I wonder why 🤔
You would be surprised how many don't want to know. I found something the vast majority haven't a clue about and is touched upon here with the seven dots being the Pleiades. There is symbology of this in Gobekli Tepe carved on the base of one of the central pillars in Enclosure D of a row of seven birds. Good chap Stefan Milo. I "discovered" this Channel twice. Once by accident and again from a recommendation by Study of Antiquity & Middle Ages (SAMA). I rushed to subscribe after seeing SAMA's post only to find I had already subscribed.
Stefan is an incredible TH-camr couldn't agree more. He is careful at how he says things and how he gives you the information. That is someone you can trust.
I only have great great admiration towards you. You are doing a stupendous work. Demolishing the false arguments of sensation seeking, ignorance spreading ppl is not easy. You are doing it with a lot of patience, deep knowledge and great passion. May your tribe grow.
Really enjoying your videos! I went to two high schools and can confirm both covered the Sumerians. In the first- We covered Sumer in freshman history, I believe it was a full unit, but minor focus could also have been given to Assyria and Babylon. And in the second (although I didn’t take it myself) Ancient Civ covered Sumer because that was the freshman diorama project every year

I’m so happy that I’ve found your channel! I used to be an ancient aliens fan 😅 I don’t even know if I believed the theory for real, but it was so exciting. Honestly, it’s easier for someone like me to find conspiracy content since it’s so popular. You are doing a great job! Thank you 🥰❤️
The astronaut show is good because it's similar to older documentaries in it's cadence and lack of audio fluctuations along with cool videos of ancient stuff. I treat it like a poe style show.
I was always a fan of these types of things and really enjoyed thinking about the possibility even if I did think it was very speculative. I also am very happy to have found this channel and I love the fact that Mr. Antiquity provides actual evidence and does a pretty good job at covering and debunking these conspiracy theories. I am currently binging on this channel. That said we got a great show from all the ancient alien theories, Stargate SG 1. I guess I am trying to say that some good can come out of nonsense.
Actually, the tablets are very real, nothing false about them. You're just commenting for likes. No one knows where the tablets came from, yet you accept them as true.
Found your channel from the atun-shei atlantis video and you’ve become one of my favorite channels on here Perfect for learning while picking away at the tedium of invoices and expense sheets
I consider myself an expert in near orient ancient history. And i must say, its been a while that I watch a real good video in english like yours. I am very tired to see mediocre videos about the Summerians etc... So I value a lot your knowledge. Hugs from Toledo, Spain
At the end of your video, you mentioned going to university to learn ancient history. I've always loved history, but never pursued it as a career. I'm in my early 30's now and I'm wondering if there's any realistic career prospects for someone starting out at my age in this field. Thank you for your time, and thank you for your videos.
You can start at any age. I was a late bloomer myself. A history degree can get you a job in a lot of fields unrelated to history, but if you really want to have a profession in ancient history, you would most likely end up teaching college or with a museum job. Neither of them pay that much. So you wouldn't be doing it for the money. You'd be doing it because you enjoy it.

I found your channel through Matt of Ancient Architects. As someone who is subscribed to Bright insight and other channels alike, I value the work you do and appreciate the historical academic perspective.
Agree. I often commented Matt channel, he try to do a real work, like History for granit too. Sometimes I go correcting some claims, but this is because there a gap between hypothesis and imagination. Sometimes there's simple responses wich are simply logical, or concrete like me having goats, so understanding the needs hunter gatherers had to keep animals more than hunting them. Or that a roof on a T pillar can't be heavy... I note most channels are downgrading actually to conspiracy and stupid hypothesis, hope Matt will stand Right.
I was hoodwinked by all this sitchen crap for DECADES. I TOTALLY believed it all. Watching this channel for 2 weeks has changed ALL of that. The arguments, and the TONE of how they are presented here, are so genuine, it totally opened my eyes back to reality.
We did a whole unit (several weeks worth of study) on Mesopotamian history in 7th grade, not totally exclusive to just studying Sumerians, to be fair, but we started with them and it was more than just a few sentences. I'm sure our textbook was lacking and outdated in many ways, but it was still a decent study for 12 year olds. This was in Canada about 15 years ago for what it's worth. Love your channel so far by the way. Thanks for doing what you do! :)
I’ve developed quite a disdain for the “bright insight” type channels. Lies and misrepresentations of facts, being used to manipulate those who fee the desire to fight an authority figure, and feel superior to said authority figure
@@iceyardfan4394 Man, I hope you aren't one of those guys who complains about Leftists inserting politics into everything. Cuz here you are on a video about Sumerian astronomy espousing your political views.
I've been binge watching your videos for days now, (wish I would have found you earlier). One thing is certain in my mind, the truth about history is actually more interesting than these alternative theories. My historical knowledge is more recent in time, colonial America through the 19th century. This is what I've studied most over the last 30 years. My knowledge of ancient history is seriously lacking. Your videos are inspiring me to learn more about ancient history and I thank you for that. I've learned so much already !!
@ironcladranchandforge7292 - "...the truth about history is actually more interesting than these alternative theories." - - - Yes, you are completely correct!
I appreciate this channel. You’ve gained a subscriber. I think it’s important for one to search for as much information as possible when educating yourself on these topics. And we need to be mindful of who and how the info is being presented. I will admit I was totally swept away with the “lost ancient technology” theory. I heavily bought into Bright, X, Hancock and the others. But after watching some of your videos I am not so convinced. If anything I am left with even more questions than when I started all of this. I had no idea that the viewpoints on this were so heavily divided. Thanks again for the content.
Long long ago I also bought into Hancock, tarot cards, astrology, chariots of the gods. Then saw the great debunk of the last named on tv. The lies that man told. I also found a huge tome in the library on astrology. Giving tons of details on how to draw up a horoscope. Then made the mistake, or not, of reading the positive and negative attributes of each star sign. Soon came to realise they were just variations on a theme. I could apply each and everyone to myself.

"Pass by 7 planets" pretty much invalidates Bright's entire approach. Would his brain explode at how big the orbits are? Or that Mercury, on average, is the closest planet to ALL the other planets? It's like he saw an image with all the planets in their order in the solar system and just thought you'd have to cruise past all of them to get to Earth.
I was in High School in the 90's and we definitely learned about the Sumerians in World History. Maybe not a comprehensive amount, considering we had to learn about all of world history in a single school year, but it covered the basics.

I have a friend who is totally convinced by all this alternative history stuff, including Bright Insight. I don’t see him often now, but I need to try and get him to watch your series.
First you need to figure out why and how much that person wants to/need to believe in that kind of stuff. Most of the time there are very personal, rather subjective and often hidden (vague, forgotten or subconscious) motives for a person's worldview. If you really care about the friendship than to realize the way how the other one forms conclusions is more precious and helpful than simply trying to convince about... Most of us are not that bright minded as evolution lured us to believe and since education also emphasized factual knowledge instead of being able to critically evaluate the actual weight of certain types of facts and being able to connect the scientifically relevant dots ... However most of the people doesn't really have a scientific mindset. Most of them have no real idea how hard earned are the achievements in sciences. Mostly know only about the "sensations" but not about the patience and humbleness required to learn all the background stuff, about the constant re-evaluation based on such details they can't even conceive of... And on top of their ignorance even they are the ones who like to play the offended "researcher" if someone criticizes their pet theories and "theories"
I am a very minor scholar of ancient history, yet i wouldn't have watched that young man's presentation... from the little bit i know it was very obvious he knew less about the Sumerians than i do. Thank you Dr. David, for telling us lots of interesting facts re. the ancient Sumerians 🤗 i didn't need the "de-bunking", yet i loved the info you gave!! I might be too late (old 😊) to go to University to study full time...?
The last time I visited the Ashmolean Museum (in Oxford) I was thoroughly distracted by their display of cylinder seals. Fascinating and beautiful, covering different civilisations, and well worth visiting.
Another great video. A lot of these youtube guys don’t really teach history, just sensationalism and conspiracy. Not real history, archaeology, or science. They just use clickbait and want to appeal to the masses. Kinda like ancient aliens.
Thanks again, this channel has easily become one of my new favorites : ) The clarifications are well presented and eliminate any wiggle room for pseudo-science. Love it! I wanted to ask quickly about the advent of the wheel, if I may. What are your thoughts on the toy bull (with wheels) from the Cucuteni-Trypillia culture? What do you the chances could have been that they could have used wheels for transportation? Also given that chariots originated from a nearby location (albeit being distanced by time), what do you think the chances would be that these cultures possessed the wheel but the remains of which have been lost to time? PS - I am an educator and I can add that Mesopotamian cultures ARE taught in the British curriculum (KS4-5), though not extensively, of course.
I think it is entirely possible that they used the wheel there. From what I understand, there is quite a bit of evidence for wheel use in that area at that time.
Great video. Anyone promoting Sitchin unironically has a serious credibility problem. Hopefully Bright will take your videos to heart and improve his research methods.
Thank you for your content. I hate to admit how gullible I was before seeing your video, this information is greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!
thank you for making these videos. its nice to have a differing point of view on the same topics or a breakdown of the other videos using the same evidence. while well never know for sure, differing views of fhe same topics keeps it a healthy discussion.
Absolutely love these videos. I can't for the life of me understand why you're subscriber count is so low. Also have to say I find it hilarious how offended people get in these comments for the person's videos that you are talking about. It seems a bit ironic all these alternative history people cry about how they are discriminated against by the mainstream archaeological community but when someone does engage with them and goes against the theories they are proposing they turn around and do the same thing. All the comments in all your videos against you are more than proof of it. Maybe that's why people don't engage with them often....
These videos are terrible. When you say the great pyramid is a tomb all of you credibility is gone. Mainstream archaeologists aren’t even part of the discussion anymore.
Museums do NOT have display space for their entire collections. Typically, they have room to display less than ONE PERCENT of the object that they possess at the same time. They typically display them on a rotating basis, with due consideration to the fragility of the objects.
Love what you said there at the end. Remind me of some of the social studies and history teachers I had way back when I was in high school. They always seemed to be the most passionate about what they were teaching.

One needs a lot of knowledge to just get started. I appreciate your efforts to debunk myths and also put light of how to follow a subject matter properly & in a proper manner.
Prof David, I am gradually going through your videos. They are wrecking my romance with the alternative versions. When I was a kid I was fascinated by Richard Halliburton's Royal Road to Romance. Btw - there is no damn way the Sumerians knew about Pluto. Impossible.
Hello! I would love to see your thoughts on the “handbag” or as Graham H. says “Manbag phenom”. Love your videos, thank you for posting these counter arguments. 22:24 the missing triangle piece, (at approximately 1 O'clock), has been found, and placed. There's a good video of the British museum, (where the map is located), presented, by Irving Finkle. One of his students found the piece, in a forgotten box of pieces, in the museum's collection.
Your explanation of the purported "solar system" certainly seems reasonable to a layman--in any case it certainly is not a solar system. I am impressed that a maker of seals would have that type of technical knowledge of the calendar. I would not expect a modern graphic designer to know much about modern science. I suppose back then any person who learned to write also got a complete liberal education including most of what was believed true.
Always great to see your videos that debunk wild theories presented as fact. It is embarrassing how many credulous people fall victim to all the pseudo-science out there.
Like and subbed sir. Docs and non fiction is pretty much all I watch on yt and there is allot of clickbait attention and clout seekers on the internet. It's refreshing to see things being checked.
Great to see someone debunking that creep. You could go much harder on him though, exposing his logical fallacies and his perverse, sickening way of seducing people.
Example: when he says there are 3 lines about the sumerians in high school, the sickening strategy is to present himself as the nice guy who is going to reveal the "truth" that "they" are hiding. It is sickening front the start.
They knew how long it took the visible planets, Moon and Sun to travel through the Zodiac and understood the sun's relation to the seasons and that's pretty much about it. Unless I'm mistaken, they didn't know certain comets returned after so long nor did they know about the astroid belt, Kuyper Belt, Pluto or even Neptune and Uranus .
I think mixing up Sumerian with Akkadian is a reflection on our public educational system in America and lack of accessibility (ie gotta pay tuition or buy a book) on the subjects. Thank god for TH-cam
Very well done once again. I apologize I was gone for a while I was in vacation. Here's the thing.....these cultures are amazing. What we know about them is amazing (minus the slavery part). They don't need additional "Wow." P.s. There wasn't a world flood. Yes, some cultures talk about it, but the scientific evidence for a world flood doesn't exist. There is evidence for some big floods in part of the world and if you only knew about part of the world, it is understandable that you (a member of an ancient culture) would think the entire world flooded, but the world never experienced such a thing (at least while mankind was around).

I listened to Stichen's book, (sorry about the misspell) and enjoyed it. Even if you listen to it as fiction, I got a kick out of it. Eric Cline's book about the mysterious ending of the bronze age I thought was scholarly and accurate??? Thoughts?? The twelfth planet is fun and peaked my curiosities about a period in time that we still know si little about. I appreciate what you are doing here to bring some light. I think there are all a lot of cueniform tablets to go through. I look forward to more light in this dark corner. Thanks again...
I’m absolutely loving your work and the content on this channel. It’s like a breath of fresh air. I have spent many years of study dedicated to the gods of ancient times and then here comes aliens. I’m not terribly close minded so I gave these theories a good sporting chance. Then, I began to notice inconsistencies piling up and it seemed that translating ancient tablets, glyphs, etc. wasn’t exactly the most important part of their… agenda???… if that’s the correct word I’m not sure but let’s say agenda. So, I got rather exhausted by trying to find legitimate information regarding ancient Mesopotamia and their deities whilst sifting out what was alien agenda and what was proper academic work. Now, I’m learning to read the cuneiform myself. Not even beginning with Akkadian but jumping straight into the Sumerian. My interest in the Ancient gods is global but I felt that learning this ancient writing, learning this ancient language was more important than all the others because I can’t rely on translations from Mesopotamia. So to see someone like yourself who actually possesses sound and logical reasoning skills and is not coming at the subject from the point of some alien agenda or even a biblical agenda… just, thank you. Thank you so much.🥹🥰💕 PS: I’m aware that this is an older video but I only just found your channel and I’m so glad that I did. Searching through so much of this alien stuff really began to take a toll on me so I guess maybe I would have found this when it was new if not for my hiatus away from the whole of TH-cam as it pertains to this subject. Thank you again
I'd wonder why aliens seemingly had such little impact? The agricultural revolution took place thousands of years before Sumer, and the domestication of wild plants and animals took thousands of years, the transition from hunter gatherers to semi-sedentary semi-farming communities with new tools like the space aged rocks-stuck-in-a-stick-scythe, then thousands of years later pottery emerging, larger cities and temples and social hierarchies and ALL thousands of years before written Sumerian history. Sumer wasn't some anomaly that suddenly poofed into existence, needing to be explained away by aliens.
The star surrounded by 12 smaller ones that Bright says depict a solar system, might be the Golden Gate of the ecliptic with a the big star going thru the gate. However things going thru that gate are normally Planets - not stars. So it is still a bit of an enigma, what it really depicts.
Thanks for reacting to Jimmy brights videos in this way, I have watched some of them months ago and was quite shocked of how many views it has despite the obvious mistakes and false claims he is doing. Also he is throwing the words "scientific evidence" around like candy on carnival, while most of the time he just has a slight incidence (if at all). He's mixing up a lot of things and noone seemed to care. Thanks for debunking him and giving a critical view on those videos
Month stars makes more sense in an agricultural society. The Sumerians needed to know when to plant & etc. The planets by their very nature ("wanderers") have little utility for prediction of seasons (Mile flood, monsoons). Deity to Sumerian: There are 11 planets. Sumerian Astronomer: That's an unfalsifiable hypothesis until you can prove to me there are six more than I can see.
I have just watched this for the second time and am really appreciating again the time you spend carefully addressing the claims. I also learn more about Sumerian at the same time, so I thank you.
6:17 I think that by advanced trade routes he just means a trade route over a very long range, i.e. trade with a far off country/culture rather than with a neighboring state in which case the journey would be a simple/basic trade route. Advanced trade route could be over sea, or challenging terrain such as deserts and mountain. It would require some level of sophistication to conduct such a trade route safely, for example re-supply outposts providing water and food for the caravans or even ships. Trade with the lapis lazuli miners of modern day afghanistan or with the early cultures of india, if such a thing was done by the sumerians would be an advanced trade route for that time, given the distance and logistical challenge for an early civilization to extend it's reach so far.
Easily your best video. Jimmy's videos are downright dangerous. His misrepresentation of facts is causing large numbers of the uneducated to lose faith in the scientific method. If we keep allowing videos like his to go unchecked and unchallenged then we are headed towards a very bleak future. That's why I love the your video here. The answer is not to silence or "cancel," the Jimmy's of the world, it's to methodically (and slowly, again, for the "Jimmy's," of the world) explain why you can't just take a look at something and form a "common sense," argument that refutes decades and decades of careful scholarly study. All of this started with the Sitchin nonsense in the 70's and 80's and unfortunately the internet is giving these morons a podium like they've never had before. The Sitchin's of the world were duly laughed at and dismissed as entertainment at the best and downright idiocy at worst 20, 30 years ago, but the idiocracy is functioning so that Jimmy's are getting more views than World of Antiquity, and this is a harbinger of doom. We need more World of Antiquities out here to put the Jimmy's in their place where they belong: back on the bench with their mouths shut and their cheeks red from embarrassment. This is a 12 year old telling a nuclear physicist that cold fusion was achieved in prehistory and getting away with it. It's dangerous and it's making this country stupider and stupider.
Late comment, but Bright's saying that "people only lived half our ages back then" is a common misunderstanding of average life expectancy. People didn't drop dead at 35-40 from old age. Infant and youth mortality (disease/violence) brought the life expectancy age down. Consider; an infant dies before its 1st year is over and an old man dies at 80. The average life expectancy is 40. We have many records in ancient history of people living to old age. Antipater (81), Parminion (70 when assassinated), Augustus (75), Tiberius (77). Alexander was considered young when he died at 32. These are reliable ages written down. dating through anthropology (bone fusion, growth, healed injuries/diseases) shows this was the case even further back in history/pre-history.
I am both thrilled and angry that you made this response video: thrilled because Bright's video needed a response, and angry because I did not want to be reminded that Bright's video exists at all. I don't think I was able to finish watching it, it infuriated me that much.
Omg I took a course on on exoplanets at my university and the professor at the end of the course briefly promoted some of this Sumerian nonsense myths (he was a physicist not a historian). I wish I had known about this video so I could have sent it to him. I complained about it in my review and feedback of the course and put a bunch of links to articles debunking some of this stuff. So hopefully he won't promote this stuff in his future courses anymore.
Even if the Sumerians knew about axial precession (which they probably didn't), all that would be required is to keep track of the position of the stars and compare it every year, which being one of the earliest civilizations to adopt a writing system, would be doable without the need for aliens or a hyper-advanced civilization, unless they were unable to look up.
Thank you for this video! I could never have watched Bright's video without knowing you would make sense of it for me. (first time visitor BTW) Yeah I remember Sitchin--he's the one who made it almost impossible to find any real information on the internet about Nibiru, because he said it was the 12th planet. (The truth is out there LOL!!) There's a lot of comments on Bright's video saying how wonderful his know-it-all attitude was and even more from others testifying they were taught about the Sumerians in school. It's terrible how some people have made so much money by interpreting the images and icons from a culture they really never studied because they know "what" it looks like. Sorry for the rant. Thank you for setting the record straight!
Kkkkk gelous person like you think knows everithg. Who are you to deny what the sumarian. Do you know the language? I know the language. Sitchin is almost correct. Not 100%correct THOUGH what he said make sence

Such a good work of you on his hypothesis overthinking ideas. Excellent.
Amateurs can never be bothered to establish context. That leaves them free to cherry-pick factoids supporting any crackpot theory. However, academic historians today have multiple lines of evidence available to them.
Thank you for sharing this information! I’m embarrassed now I got that wrong. But what you say makes perfect sense.

PG 789 AND PG 800 AGAIN!" from PÚ to PÙ? At least on the academia edu version. I guess it was a typo (PÚ being LAGABxU and PÙ being KAxKÁR), but the hapax nature of that name makes understanding it already difficult enough to have misinformation floating around out there.🙃
Oh no! You got a minor detail that doesn't affect your thesis wrong! It must have been space aliens after all!
Man the amount of research you must do is incredible. Thank you for doing this. I'm extremely interested in these topics and there's so much rubbish out there it's great to find someone clearing it up a bit.
Glad you enjoyed it!

@@Whitewater_and_Wild_Mushrooms I gave him a shot too. I thought to myself "Maybe I AM missing something or just WANT to believe" But after watching many of his videos and comparing what he claims to what is known fact I am unimpressed and unsubscribed.
@@GalactusOG yes you unsubscribed thats why you are watching this video.
As a fellow PhD (in Anthropology in my case), I congratulate you for dismissing all these conspiracy theories with eloquence! Thank you! :D

It's people like you who perpetuate the huntyer-gatherer stone age bollocks. We've been lied to for so long because academics were so ignorant.

Agree. I often commented Matt channel, he try to do a real work, like History for granit too.

All the comments in all your videos against you are more than proof of it. Maybe that's why people don't engage with them often....

Museums do NOT have display space for their entire collections. Typically, they have room to display less than ONE PERCENT of the object that they possess at the same time. They typically display them on a rotating basis, with due consideration to the fragility of the objects.

Randal C. is also extremely interesting to listen to, and when I hear him speak I feel like I am listening to a professor as he seems to always cite his sources. Thanks again!! I will watch all your videos for sure!

Great videos! Could you do a video on some of the claims made by Graham Hancock and Brien Foerster?
Yes I can.
World of Antiquity great! I’ll be looking forward to it!
Man, I've become your fan. The best thing is how you reply to everybody
This SHIT needs to be exposed
I am so excited your channel came up on my feed. Thank you for putting out a better knowledge of these topics.
So. In summary, Bright is not bright.
He is bright enough to have smooth brains give him money for telling fairytales. Conniving? Yes. Stupid? Not so much.
In Brazil we cover the sumerians in middle school
Very well done once again. I apologize I was gone for a while I was in vacation. I'm intrieged how real work doesn't get a lot of attention as false work and people still believe it without doing the research themselves. Although I'm surprised you didn't mention the man standing in the disk that flys. If I'm wrong I will accept your claim and do further research on my work. Lastly did you researched Wayne Herschels works on Atlantis ?I know half of the information is incorrect but what is your review on it?. Did it leave you any interests?. Also it doesn't matter if you do or do not do a review on it I will appreciate your works either way ☺
Yes, I took a look, but there is a lot of material that will require some time to go through. We'll see how things go.
Well done! This guy really needed someone to put him back to his place. Thx.
Agreed!
Yes.
The garden is beautiful without us having to believe fairies live in it as well.
26:54 So its possible the depiction is of a constellation. Maybe the one for his zodiac sign. Virgo is the only constellation with 12 stars 😊 mystery solved. Y'all welcomed 😌
I love it when you pronounce Akkadian/Sumerian words. Could listen all day. Your videos are very good.
Thanks!
I really needed you to sequentially label the images "sun" "star" "moon" and "TURTLE"
Thank you so much.🥹🥰💕
PS: I’m aware that this is an older video but I only just found your channel and I’m so glad that I did.
They didn't even teach people to wash their hands.
This comment deserves more likes in order to be seen by those who accidentally wondered off from those alternative "research" channels
Hi, great channel, when you quote ancient texts, I wonder how the pronunciation of words is determined?
Month stars makes more sense in an agricultural society. The Sumerians needed to know when to plant & etc. The planets by their very nature ("wanderers") have little utility for prediction of seasons (Mile flood, monsoons).
Deity to Sumerian: There are 11 planets.
Sumerian Astronomer: That's an unfalsifiable hypothesis until you can prove to me there are six more than I can see.
15:21 Any tool that is man made is low technology. If it has a power source, then it's high technology.
Some the academic arguments are regid. Sitchin opened up an avenue for all to rexamine what academics were curating and forcing all to believe.
Thanks for another great video. I think I have seen all of Jimmys videos and it’s nice to see someone counter his pointsZ good job!
Very sad indeed. Dunning-Krueger combined with esotericism is really dangerous when it involves influential people....
Ah, this is the seal that shows Gilgamesh refuelling his _"Fiery rocket ship which brought those to Earth whom from Heaven came"?_
{:-:}
"Is it Pluto a planet? give me a break, what a stupid discussion that is, some scientist who wants to redefin this ... grow up" The irony...
The Asyrians copy the information from sumarians that is a fact stop it . Why not the asyrian and sumarian story of creation . You are crazy
