1973 ford escort mk1 rs2000 dinky diecast restoration customised my ride with a 3d resin printer

Hey, in this video, I fix up an old Dinky Toys Ford Escort Mk1 police car. I use my 3D resin printer to make new wheels, arches, bucket seats, a front splitter, and wing mirrors. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I painted it dolphin gray with black highlights. After I finished restoring it, I added some details to the wheels, and I think they look awesome. I could not believe that you were able to hold that model by the wheelarches whilst you polished its nose - that putty must be REALLY strong! The 3D elements are super-nice - particularly the wee mirrors. Those are sweet. The grey is very elegant. I am having all sorts of trouble with airbrushes at the moment - no matter how clean I get them, I have to be really lucky to see the consistent flow that you get. Maybe the paint being too thick, being stuck with acrylics.. but your Escort transformation, Luke - an absolute delight to look at: so sharp, I think it pierced my soul!

I can die a happy and contented man now that you've done a Mk 1 Escort.......my first car and my favourite of all those I've owned. Obviously not an RS 2000, (initially an 1100 Deluxe ...... but not when I'd finished with her 😉) she was nicked from the drive two weeks after I'd spent two years doing her up and smashed into a tree 😢

Hi pal I use the anycubic photon mono 2 it's a great printer. I mostly download STL files then manipulate the part the fit the model in the slicer Hope that helps mate cheers 👍
