People complaining about 10 seconds of noise while or grinds. Could it be we're just a bit too persnickety? 😂 #firstworldproblems . I own this machine and I can tell it its AH-mazing. Am I an espresso neophyte? Nope. I managed a coffee shop for years and learned the art of the perfect shot. You'll need to adjust the settings but this is almost as good as it gets. For the price you cannot do better.
What was the grinding level? I would like to see how the same coffee would look like on the finest settings and the highest dose. This was too watery. I dont expect that you would get 27s extraction from any of the automatic machines but this was really too fast.
With a latte, there is more of a balanced blend between the milk and espresso throughout; the latte macchiato is a more layered drink; there is a pronounced espresso flavor from the beginning that is complemented by the creamy milk. So if you like a stronger espresso taste in your latte (still creamy, just stronger), you should press the macchiato button. Hope that helps! =)
@pman555 - did you go through a period when you first got the machine where most of the brews (other than espresso) were quite watery? I just received a 3200 LatteGo recently and most of my brews (coffee, americano, milk-based drinks) taste like diluted coffee. I've also noticed that the pucks being generated are non-formed and rather watery as opposed to the well-formed pucks coming out of the machine in your review. I've tried to play around with the grind settings, used different beans etc but am not getting any improvements over 20-30 cups being brewed in 2-3 days of owning. Just looking for some insight! Thx, happy holidays!
Got one on Amazon at a very good price. Returned it yesterday after two weeks. why? coffee was no better than my k cups, cappuccino was no better than my Nespresso and frother and most important, there's just way to much time spent on filling the water tank, emptying the tray and grinds, cleaning the brew group and cleaning the milk container, which btw leaves some milk behind no matter how much you put in.
Sorry, but that "Crema"... was absolutely subpar, compared to other machines on the market. Not sure if that was due to the performance of the "Machine.. or the quality of the Bean." The grind may have been to coarse, resulting in an under-extracted shot. My suggestion, would be to try re-setting that grinder to a finer position for an overall, better extraction, in order to pull a better shot that will produce a richer, denser "Cafe' de Crèma.
You never get real crema on a super automatic, they’re not meant for coffee enthusiasts, just for people who want a decent cup of coffee fast and easy.
If it's blinking orange, it means you need to change the aquaclean filter. If it's solid orange, it means you need to descale -- even if you've changed the filter. "Not replacing the AquaClean filter on time When the AquaClean filter icon starts flashing orange, it indicates that you need to replace your filter. As long as it flashes, you can replace the filter without having to descale the machine first. If you do not replace the AquaClean water filter, the orange light will go out eventually. In that case, you need to descale your machine first before replacing it with a new water filter. As the machine has to be limescale free before starting to use the AquaClean filter."
Lexi021009 Hi Lexi, thanks for watching. I’m using Stumptown Homestead blend beans, which is a light roast. This may be why the coffee appears more brown than black.

Hi there, thanks for the video. Any suggestions to help with the very loud noise? I just purchased one and I'm afraid I'm driving my neighbours insane (I live in an apartment).
Hi, this is the second bean-grinding coffee maker I've owned, and unfortunately, the loud sounds during the grind process (even if it's relatively short) are just part of owning a machine that does it all. You might be able to put some kind of sound dampening mat up behind it or to the side if the coffeemaker sits next to a common wall, but that's probably not going to make a big enough difference to really help if your neighbors are complaining. If they haven't complained, you might ask them if it's an issue and let them know what's going on. Hopefully, they're not even bothered by it.
@@GeorgeCostandi Properly made espresso has deep black color and the crema isn't just a single shade of brown foam. That's not an espresso, it's something else.
Hi, Perry mentions in his review that you can't use the milk carafe to create latte art. Here's a link to that: geardiary.com/2019/12/02/philips-3200-lattego-automatic-espresso-machine-worth-the-price-of-admission/
Elizabeth Andrews Just the opposite, actually. The LatteGo carafe is extremely easy to clean, as the steam comes out of the machine, through the carafe, and the milk comes out of the carafe into the cup. The milk never enters the machine. The carafe is made of 3 pieces and they are easily cleaned in the sink.
Excuse me English is not my mother language and I can’t understand the last part:the only downside is the machine can make Latte..r I don’t get it somebody help here!!
I said “You can’t make latte art.” Meaning unless you switch the cups around manually, it’ll automatically pour the milk into your latte which does not allow you to playfully pour in the milk in your latte to create the patterns that are so popular in fancy coffee houses.

Really don't get it why americans drink their coffee with so much water in them! Why don't you drink a glass of water after a coffee shot with minimum water level in it?
I purchased this machine and I have to say that I'm disappointed so far. The coffee grinder is extremely noisy even though it uses ceramic blades. My separate grinder with metal blades is less noisy. Then there is the fact that the descaling is a complicated process that I can't do without a manual. That's just like it was on my old entry level budget Siemens machine and the thing I hated about that machine. Not least there's the taste. Even though I've set the highest setting for aroma and water temperature a cup of coffee tastes watery lacking the aroma of the coffee. My old Siemens was better in this regard. It made a coffee with a lot of taste. The water also had a higher temperature

Thanks. Answering some of the questions would be a plus. What do you mean "you can't make latte"?
Maybe You could put a video showing how to clean a brew group with coffee oil removal tablets?
The extraction time was way too short! Maybe you should set the grinder finer! Great video, just what I wanted to see. Thnx
I agree. And the crema too light.
Terrible
That espresso looked like dirty sewer water
I don't think those incorporated grinders are able to grind good enough for a proper espresso.
@S C you get what you see with automatic machines. For a proper espresso you need dedicated grinder and a real espresso machine
Wow that is pretty loud. Is that normal? Is that just the sound of the grinding or is it the echo in the room?
Wish you could have waited a bit longer for the espresso layers to finally settle and the see the actual color

How many oz is the that cup used for the cappuccino? Is that the largest size you can get out of the machine?
Can it froth plant-based milk like oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, etc?
