Ok, it’s been 9 months, enough time for a baby to fully develop… lol. so- how has your champion progression been? I’m a newer player in gold, but most my friends are plats and a couple are diamonds.. I’m tryna get a better understanding of how long it takes once reaching levels above diamond
You're not allowed to do any of that "control the ball" stuff these youtubers recommend instead of hitting away because teammate says screw that and will cut in front to take the ball if you don't go at it instantly or they'll hit it out of your control. Diamond and still stupid as hell.

You don’t actually need a fast kick off in order to win kick off a lot. It’s actually much more important that you focus on being able to control you 50s because that’s what determines where the ball is going to go. I can consistently win kick off‘s against champs and GC‘s and I do a standard kick off. The reason for this is that I understand that getting to the ball first isn’t the most important thing, and a lot of times they will end up losing to 50 because they get to the ball first. As long as you are able to make it to the 50 and are confident in your control, you don’t need to worry about your kick off speed. I mean seriously, having good control over 50s will change the way you’re able to play the game and allow you to start turning what would’ve been a lost 50 into an outfield pass to a teammate.
Wow, I honestly have just recently been placing diamond 1 consistently (both in 2s and 3s) but going further is much more difficult. These points of focus are going to help me out quite a bit in my progression through diamond. Thanks!

I agree. Hopefully at some point they figure out a way to offer the workshop maps for console players as well. For the moment be sure to use custom training packs for shot consistency! Let me know how you go

I believe making it out of diamond is purely based on luck with teammates... So i was champ 2 for a few weeks, very comfortable, in one day i hit a huge loss streak and since im stupid i didnt stop trying and i ended up at diamond 3. Ever since i havent been able to get back to champ, 50% of my teammates have been literally incapable of doing shit. I was thinking it was my fault and im stuck in the champ mindset, ive tried playing passive, chasing less, passing more, chasing more, nothing works bruh. I literally only win when i have a teammate who doesnt whiff half the time or who doesnt go for shit he cant hit yet. Diamond has to be the most toxic, underperforming and almost impossible rank in rocket league, and i cant get out of it. Im bout ready to delete the game
yall plat and diamond players dont understand that hitting ceiling shots and flip resets doesnt mean u deserve a higher rank . im in champ2 div3 and im still not perfect with my ceilings and flip resets. focus on ur rotations decision making and defending nd u will easily rank up
Cant agree more man I'm gc and I've hit maybe 2 flip resets in game like ever it's funny reading this I'm this rank and I can do a flip reset and my team mates suck I solo queued to gc in both playlist it's all about mentality
Stuck in D3 League 4 for weeks. Everytime I am about to rank up I lose games in the weirdest way possible. It's like the game is rigged and doesn't want me to rank up.

i have been in the plat 2-diamond 2 range for the past year now, and holy shit, diamond 2 is the most toxic rank i have ever witnessed, especially teammates.... unreal ppl out there. one example: I was doing the first kickoff and was late compared to the opponents speed flip, and he scored a bank kickoff goal. pretty normal right, score is 1-0. my teammate continued to call me trash and spam the quick chat. made me want to quit the game...

I've changed my settings so i can perform air roll left more smoothly. I wanna learn wavedash (i already know the basics but i want to chain dash), i want to master air roll, i want to learn flip resets and ceiling shots, and í'm almost there when it comes to half flips. currently at platinum 1. My settings are: gas R2 and break L2 Powerslide + air roll on L1 boost on circle O jump on X ballcam on triangle air roll left on R1 i had air roll left on L3 once but its just not practical man, especially for half flips. if you can do it then by all means keep doing it, but its something you have to practice alot with and make it feel natural.
L3 would definitely be tricky for me - seems like a good idea to switch it. I have a video on wavedashes (including chain dashes) and half flips if you want any advice on those - good luck!
Hi mate. You're at the hardest part of your rocketleague journey so far. I was stuck between gold 3 and plat 1 for a long while. This content is great and I also suggest you watch lethamyrs road to supersonic legend. Just watching how he takes his time and assess his opponets movements will get you into p2 with no problem at all. The fella is amazing at explaining his thought process. Im up at d2 now so if you wanna run some games at some point I'm down 👌🏼👍🏼
I’ve been in diamond for about 800 hours. I only solo Q ranked because my friends are GC+. I’m 1900mmr in casual and most of my games are champ+ level gameplay. Need some solid partners

I was Diamond in 3v3 and Hoops in season 14, but ever since free to play ive been hard Plat 3. For nearly 2 whole seasons now (almost Diamond in Hoops at the time of this post). I make sure to do a mix of freeplay and casual for atleast 20-30 min every time i sit down to play. I just feel like i'm not sure if i can get better and im only in what most people consider the average ranks. HaLp
Every rank above gold 3 is more difficult to obtain this season compared to last so pretty much everyone is a lower rank now than at the end of last season. Just keep practicing and you’ll get it back!
I was diamond 2 about a week ago, now I’m at plat and idk why because I swear I’m playing alright as I was in diamond. I got so tilted by this that I quit.

A tip for backboard reads is you can into freeplay and go onto the backboard and press the pass ball button.

yeah i got a pc with a 75hz monitor, even though its only 15 extra fps, i hit diamond 3 in 1s after being stuck in d2 for a month :D

I've changed my settings so i can perform air roll left more smoothly. I wanna learn wavedash (i already know the basics but i want to chain dash), i want to master air roll, i want to learn flip resets and ceiling shots, and í'm almost there when it comes to half flips. currently at platinum 1.
My settings are:
gas R2 and break L2
Powerslide + air roll on L1
boost on circle O
jump on X
ballcam on triangle
air roll left on R1
i had air roll left on L3 once but its just not practical man, especially for half flips. if you can do it then by all means keep doing it, but its something you have to practice alot with and make it feel natural.
L3 would definitely be tricky for me - seems like a good idea to switch it. I have a video on wavedashes (including chain dashes) and half flips if you want any advice on those - good luck!

This content is great and I also suggest you watch lethamyrs road to supersonic legend. Just watching how he takes his time and assess his opponets movements will get you into p2 with no problem at all. The fella is amazing at explaining his thought process. Im up at d2 now so if you wanna run some games at some point I'm down 👌🏼👍🏼

Really liked this video, doesn’t apply to me too much because I am currently in champ 1/2 but there was definitely some good stuff I could take from this, but I will definitely recommend you channel to my friends because I see you have lots of how to get out of certain rank videos, and some of my friends are asking me how to get out of play, keep up the solid work bro 👍

Hard stuck at Diamond 3 div 3 now any advice
I was Diamond in 3v3 and Hoops in season 14, but ever since free to play ive been hard Plat 3. For nearly 2 whole seasons now (almost Diamond in Hoops at the time of this post). I make sure to do a mix of freeplay and casual for atleast 20-30 min every time i sit down to play. I just feel like i'm not sure if i can get better and im only in what most people consider the average ranks. HaLp

I’m just wondering why i was champ 1 last Szn but got put a diamond 2 this season and feel stuck
Every rank above gold 3 is more difficult to obtain this season compared to last so pretty much everyone is a lower rank now than at the end of last season. Just keep practicing and you’ll get it back!

What happened to the summary I need to right it down to apply it to my gameplay
I removed the summary as very, very few people stuck around for it and instead replaced it with the summary on the left hand side of the screen. If you want to write it down try and think about the most important sentence to summarise each of the points listed on the left side.
