I got you Rob, from one old comic head to another. During World Breaker Hulk when Johny Blaze fought the Hulk he got slapped around even worse then this Ghost Rider. It was only after he got knocked out and The Spirit of Vengance completely took over was when he was capable (according to Dr Strange who was watching/narrating the fight) of possibly stopping the Hulk, problem was that when the Spirit of Venegance looked at the Hulk and saw that man deserved his vengance, he just drove off without fighting him.

The original Hulk, like Jekyll/Hyde -- and unlike werewolf stories -- was more 'science fiction'. Seems like letting 'magic' and the 'supernatural' be the reason for everything is just a laziness on the writers because they never have to really explain or rationalize it.
@@melmartinez7002 well I’d slightly disagree there, originally back in the first 2 issues of the Hulk Banner would only transform at night he could not become the Hulk until the sun went down and the moon came up so that’s more supernatural than science fiction though I’d say there is a happy medium in that the creation was very much science fiction but the rules originally surrounding it leaned more into supernatural. That then changed from issue 3 onwards so the concept originally seemed to lean more into supernatural werewolf like side of storytelling but was changed early on to be more Jekyll and Hyde.

Theres something really special about this book; it gives me goosebumps the way Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears did. I might have to pick this one up. Thanks for sharing!
Well first, Ghost Rider did not dominate WWHulk. He got slapped around, then THE Ghost Rider took over, and blasted up as the Hulk shrugged it off. Then the Ghost Rider realized Hulk wasn’t the “evil one” so he left. We never saw a fight between the Ghost Rider persona in control and WWHulk. Second, Banner wasn’t looking through the Hulk’s eyes, he had a probe following Hulk so he could see exactly what happened when the Hulk was in control.
So Titan hulk gone, Hulk is mysteriously back with no explanation, and despite meeting and being empowered by the One Below All who is actually the One above all...he's susceptible to demonic possession or something? I guess it's still better than how Marvel treats the Sentry continuity?
Hulk is one of my favorite characters, second to Spider-Man, and I love it when he is "The Man" just the strongest guy there that can overpower everyone, especially when he is portrayed as a child, or abused spirit that can overcome anyone and anything with his anger. I believe that Hulk will get stronger than the others later down the years, because I do believe that people like Thor, especially with his new powers of the Thor Force and other things, and Hercules, and Zues, and Odin, and Galactus, and the Phenox, and others like Nightmare and Dormammu, and Maphesto and the new overpowered Future Luke Cage, Silver Surfer and demons and devils and others, are stronger than Hulk, but at least for now. I believe that Hulk will surpass them all, especially with Hulk going to go up against Eldest and The Mother of Horrors.
@user-yy3rp8zx6t I meant the Future Luke Cage from the Timless issue who has the powers of Hulk, Sentry, Iron Fist, and who fought the Immortal Moon Knight and Khonshu.
This Hulk has defeated a force that rivaled The One Above All and killed a monster with one punch that had the Nexus of All Reality scared and both are more powerful than everyone you mentioned above
I really liked the Immortal Hulk run because of the horror element and how grounded it felt. This dials the horror up even more. I'm loving it. I'm excited to see where it goes.
The weirdest Ghost Rider remains Cadavre, a skull-headed scamp who hails from a comic strip and cartoon made by Charles Strobb - they guy who invented Candle Cove and Local 58. Cadavre was originally a "straight" comic strip that featured as an occasional in-world newspaper comic in a long-abandoned webcomic project. He was most recently seen in the latest Local 58 video as the star of the "Cartoon for Children".
One punch and it didnt even do anything to the rider. Read the issue. Hulk crushed a runaway demon. Rider dint even concern himself much. Plus DH just came back and that wasnt just hulk
I love this run. It is my favorite hulk I have read. I need to do more but this has been pure fun. And I can not love the art more. This is my favorite looking Hulk.
omfg I love that line from the hulk: 'shoot at me one more time, and being dead won't save you.' only the hulk would say that man. OK holy shit, it's a very small detail. But the spikes protruding from the hollow eye socks of those three dead horses in the end. THAT is am amazing artistic description. Looks fucking cool as hell.
Check out how Green Hulk used to manifest around Incredible Hulk 370 to 380 (if my memory holds). Even how Banner is in the mindscape will look familiar. But damn this art looks good.
Spawn... Dark Ages was my favorite Alt... So seeing a new Ghost Rider Alt - awesome!!! Like this wouldn't be gold? Its spirit! A Dark spirit... Which is why Ghost Rider is involved, which its that flip of different powers that the writer is twisting - Ghost Rider was not matching vs Hulk because the Hulk isn't evil... But we we're told the Rider was triggered by the other guy - not the Hulk! Which the Rider will be returning to even the odds - I hope! I want to see more of THOSE fights plus the Hulk!
It was at worst a standstill in WWH between Johnny and Hulk and it ended without a solid answer. It took the actual Rider waking up to really challenge Hulk and in waking judged and left him in peace knowing his wrath was righteous.
6:33 - Johnny Blaze wasn't bonded to Mephisto - He was bonded to Zarathos, ostensibly *by* Mephisto. ... it's a big difference, as it's why OG Ghost Rider was frequently out of control - Mephisto would Not have been.
If anything, this is back to the desire of the Hulk to separate from Banner. It's been done once before when Doom 'cut out' the Banner parts of Hulk. Doom cloned Banner and TADA..we had Hulk and Banner in two different bodies.
WW Hulk isn’t his strongest either , heart of the monster , and one other I can’t recall right now are way stronger not to mention immortal Hulk literally becoming planet size to solo planets in one punch. WWH is like SSJ1 Goku , there are definitely more powerful forms but that’s the first “serious” one
Bruce had it coming when it came to the transformation, especially after Starship Hulk. Hulk just wants to live peacefully and away from anyone he can hurt when he snaps, but bruce either wants to use him or be rid of him.
Looks like they decided to go back to the body horror of immortal Hulk. I don't think we'll see more red door or green door stuff for a while, unless they tie the red door to hell. Which, would make sense. If they made it so that the one below all was more closely tied to hell than the material plane. Thus, the closer to the one below all the Hulk gets, the stronger he becomes, but also more destructive like the titan hulk.
Honestly I think the last hulk run was way cooler. Starship hulk was a cool concept and I liked what they did with that version of the titan hulk. Now it just feels like they’re back tracking on hulk’s and banner’s character.
Oh you mean as opposed to Starship Hulk forgetting and ignoring the whole conclusion of Immortal Hulk? This new Hulk actually adds and follow the ramifications of the previous run…
I have a very limited knowledge of Ghost Rider. When I was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s, I remember the Danny Ketch run the most. I wasn’t even aware of Johnny Blaze back then. But Ghost Rider seemed pretty mature for my little 11-year old brain at the time. I bought the first six or seven issues of the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider, then ended up moving away and then discovering Image. Well, I’m a huge sci fi fan as an adult, especially of the pulp style, and when I happened to see this Cosmic Ghost Rider character, I thought, “Oh, cool! Sci fi Ghost Rider! What? He’s Frank Castle? He was the right hand of Thanos?! He was Galactus’ Herald? Whaaaat?” So I bought a trade paperback of Cosmic Ghost Rider and I was disappointed hard core. It was almost like a comedy. It didn’t seem to fit right for me. Granted, I was an Image kid who morphed into a DC-mostly adult fan, so my knowledge of the Punisher was/is limited. But I don’t remember The Punisher ever being goofy and cracking jokes like Deadpool. Yet that is what it was. I was expecting this dark, twisted, mature sci fi superhero book, but ended up with goofy Deadpool in space. That’s a lot of hemming and hawing to ask, was he always supposed to be a jokester? It seems like such a huge personality change. Cosmic Ghost Rider has by far one of the coolest designs I’ve ever seen and he’s being wasted as a less-funny Deadpool.
Love you Rob, but someone needs to call you out for the blatant lies/misinterpretations of the comics that you’re explaining. Ghost Rider DID NOT dominate the Hulk here and he didn’t dominate him in World War Hulk either 🤦🏾♂️
Correct me if im wrong but hasn't johnny blaze as the Ghost Rider beaten Hulk before? This was way back when Johnny actually became the Ghost Rider and long before the Zarathos personality started to emerge in 80's. I saw a few comic book scans back then but johnny using his hellfire, created like a hellfire cyclone around the hulk that removed all the air from around him, to stop him getting any air and then collapsed and he did this without Zarathos.
I know this is off topic but I just found out that in a predator story the creature managed to get trophies from Batman,Cyclops,Wolverine,Etrican,Magneto and two other people this matriarch was the Boss.
If I remember correctly neither Johnny blaze or hulk were dominating each other. It was just them getting back up fro each others attacks, but seeing that Johnny was struggling zerathos steps up and deems hulk not guilty and leaves since he has no reason to fight someone who’s not guilty
I’m of the camp that an unleashed/unbounded GR could take WW hulk. (idk about all hulk iterations tho), and the only reason he didn’t was he sided with hulk which I think most of us can agree that the writer was implying as much. Now where yall can debate me on theory/head canon is if Johnny Blaze was really that weak and couldn’t put up a better fight cuz I THINK Johnny was basically internally fighting with Zarathos and wasn’t getting his help/grace aka this was a weaker-than-base ghost rider. We’ve seen instances where Johnny Blaze is still in control of GR and still pulls off crazy feats cuz Zarathos and Johnny are working together and their goals are adjacent/in line. I think that he was severely nerfed because not only was hulks vengeance just but this version was especially NOT-wicked, Hulk was going easy on people and was consistently fucked over, going after only people who deserved it and heroic in this arc. The spirit of Vengeance has no beef with people like that.
Maybe made the mistake of reading the comments before the vid finishes... GR vs WWH happened before any relation to 'One Below all " was a notion. Hulk has no tie to heaven and hell in the writers mind at this time. Yes, Hulk beat Johnny. Yes, Zarathos, took over and found Hulk not guilty, but if he had: Hulk gets stronger as he gets madder, but at that time, GR was the vengence of God. Whomever he faced off against, his power scaled up. He was as strong as necessary to take out whatever needed. The point is: At THIS time, HULK is the plot device, But at THAT time, It was GR.
Wrong. Ghost Rider couldn't do anything to WW Hulk. Hulk was holding back the entire time. Even when Zarthos was unleashed in Johnny's Ghost Rider it did nothing to WWH, who throughout the entire event was pulling his punches. If the Hulk doesn't want to be stopped? Nothing can stop him. The Multiverse destroying Breaker of Worlds Hulk is proof of that in IMMORTAL HULK

THANK YOU!!!! I said the same type of thing. Rob loves sucking off GR.
The Ghost Rider that left the fight was not the Ghost Rider that showed up. Remember that.
Ghost Rider chose to end the fight with Hulk because his vengeance was justified towards the Illuminati
Whatever helps you sleep at night 😂😂. He knew what it was. As soon as that Penance stare doesn't work, Ghost Rider gets the bookin', lol
I really love your channel, the only place I’ll listen to comics
Theres something really special about this book; it gives me goosebumps the way Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears did. I might have to pick this one up. Thanks for sharing!
I’m actually liking this. The idea that Hulk is fucking around with demons and ghost riders and ain’t exactly the good guy
Titan hulk was just a personality put into banners mind by some dude right? So it's not really a hulk or is it?
Did you even read the starship Hulk run?
Did you even read the starship hulk comic run?? Lol
@user-yy3rp8zx6t And as for Silver Surfer, hasn't he beaten Hulk before by draining his power and things like that?
This Hulk has defeated a force that rivaled The One Above All and killed a monster with one punch that had the Nexus of All Reality scared and both are more powerful than everyone you mentioned above
@user-yy3rp8zx6t That was probably before they removed any ceiling on Hulk's power limit.
BRO ITS RICK MAY AKA THE Soldier bro that guy is a gaming legend
Everyone beats up Hulk now
I really liked the Immortal Hulk run because of the horror element and how grounded it felt.
Kris Straub.
@@jasontodd8071 Yeah, I have no idea why I thought that. Charles Schwab the financial brand perhaps?
One punch and it didnt even do anything to the rider. Read the issue. Hulk crushed a runaway demon. Rider dint even concern himself much. Plus DH just came back and that wasnt just hulk
when back in the days I discovered your channel through hulk videos also I'm a big fan of hulk
I love this run. It is my favorite hulk I have read. I need to do more but this has been pure fun. And I can not love the art more. This is my favorite looking Hulk.
Hulk and Banner taking turns locking each other in time out.
I just realized Rob got the title backwards😂
War Devil? *kick back plays in the background*
omfg I love that line from the hulk: 'shoot at me one more time, and being dead won't save you.' only the hulk would say that man. OK holy shit, it's a very small detail. But the spikes protruding from the hollow eye socks of those three dead horses in the end. THAT is am amazing artistic description. Looks fucking cool as hell.
"The Hulk helps him finish with all his living."
😂😂😂😂😂 bro
World breaker hulk against ghost rider was closer than remembered. But I like the way the new ghost rider was introduced.
“I look out for the kid. Say your prayers Ugly.”
This line and his appearance:
I heard TF2 Soldier and I can’t bring myself to deny that it fits.
Check out how Green Hulk used to manifest around Incredible Hulk 370 to 380 (if my memory holds). Even how Banner is in the mindscape will look familiar. But damn this art looks good.
I do believe the horror transformations of Banner actually started with "The Immortal Hulk"
The Ghost Rider will NEVER dominate the Hulk!
Imagine doing the Hulk so dirty that the Spirit of Vengeance let him off to continue his rampage
Uncle Sal's obviously Back Issues Sal
The hULK helps him finish with all his living!! Damn Rob that's funny!!
The way you title videos makes it INCREDIBLY hard to follow stories. They aren’t numbered just “Ghost Rider Eat a Frank!”
It was at worst a standstill in WWH between Johnny and Hulk and it ended without a solid answer. It took the actual Rider waking up to really challenge Hulk and in waking judged and left him in peace knowing his wrath was righteous.
I freakin love the WW2 Ghost Rider look, it's awesome!
This title is nothing short of excellent!
I feel like hulk could be the only being in a universe and someone would still find a way to harass him
Hulk and rider have been at this before in the past and this is definitely different 😮
"The Hulk helps him finish with all his living."😂😂
6:33 - Johnny Blaze wasn't bonded to Mephisto - He was bonded to Zarathos, ostensibly *by* Mephisto.
... it's a big difference, as it's why OG Ghost Rider was frequently out of control - Mephisto would Not have been.
The war devil reminds me a lot of Aztec gods. The design is super cool. I want to see more
If anything, this is back to the desire of the Hulk to separate from Banner.
This new Hulk run is fire!
Hulk must be some kind of pissed off after being put through that multiverse arc.
This one of my fave hulk series since the original hulk. Of course I like Immortal hulk as well.
Beyond omega level: The Divine Creator
At least 3 different thumbnails in 7 hours. Nice.
This couple reminds me of 'When the Wind Blows'
Title - Ghostrider HUMBLES Hulk.
First line - Hulk absolutely DOMINATES Ghost Rider...
Me - ...well this is gonna be interesting...
thanks for the video
Honestly I think the last hulk run was way cooler. Starship hulk was a cool concept and I liked what they did with that version of the titan hulk. Now it just feels like they’re back tracking on hulk’s and banner’s character.
Oh you mean as opposed to Starship Hulk forgetting and ignoring the whole conclusion of Immortal Hulk?
This new Hulk actually adds and follow the ramifications of the previous run…
Title's misleading. Made me think GR was gonna dunk on Hulk...
Keep this story going
5:20
so anyway, i started blasting
The hulk should never lose
Rob will you please cover the new Thundercats comic?
If I remember correctly neither Johnny blaze or hulk were dominating each other. It was just them getting back up fro each others attacks, but seeing that Johnny was struggling zerathos steps up and deems hulk not guilty and leaves since he has no reason to fight someone who’s not guilty
8:09 no no no. Hulk crushed ghost rider...like a bug. (Like a bug was hulks words not mine 😂) i liked the video until 8:09 your better than that Rob.
Ghost Rider has become Spawn.
Rob getting Humble by his fans lol
It's also what they did with the Nicholas Cage live action movies with them having Carter Slade show up.
Ghost rider sal needs he’s own run.
This is an interesting take on Hulk, can't wait for more of this
7:59 Hol' up, memory does NOT serve you correctly. As much as I love Blaze, Hulk SMASHED him.
Hulk smashed Johny blaze hulk did not smash ghost rider.
Ya’ll getting too held up on one thing this take of hulk is awesome please make more
Maybe made the mistake of reading the comments before the vid finishes...
I disagree with the title of this video, but Philip Kennedy Johnson's Incredible Hulk is EASILY the best Marvel book out right now.
I kinda like the horror twist on the Hulk as of late.
Just kinda fits in well 🤷♂️
