@@Erastoneus45 This is an entirely different universe where the Avengers were either retired or thought to be dead. At the end of this story Tony sacrificed himself, but it seems as though Thor allowed Tony's afterlife to take place in the Norse afterlife Valhalla.
Ngl that ending had me grinning my ass off. Such a nice ending for such a grim series.
Tony was asking for Nonalcoholic options, not Bruce.
Alcoholism did terrible things to him in his first life, he wouldn’t want to repeat that.
Sending cherished characters off to a well earned afterlife is something I got to witness first hand as a writer but witnessing it through characters I didn't create yet still love feels much the same.
Hulk vs Thor one of the best comic book superhero fight matchups.
Thor should win because of his matter manipulation and if they ignore that then Hulk should win because of his regeneration.

@Hyralamellow Nah.. Hulk can have ridiculous durability, and Hulk can regenerate pretty much instantly. The only thing you can do against Hulk rocking at all cylinders is BFR.
Hulk vs Thor is more than just a Drag-out fight, it's an EXHIBITION!!
The thing about it though is that Hulk wouldn't be easily defeated like that. Don't get me wrong, this story is fantastic, but that's the only issue I have with this story.

Love Avengers: Twilight mini series, and the Hulk Vs Thor story will always be timeless. This issue also highlight Captain America as the best Avenger of all time a true symbol of Courage that All Might would say he went beyond plus ultra.

Hulk needs to stay in the cosmic supernatural type of realm, it brings out the best in Hulk, plus he can go all out and start to use TOAA rage if necessary

The problem is the trolley car principle doesn't work in real life. It falls apart as soon as you start inputting variables. That's the difference between a sanitized control principal versus the real thing. Especially when you're talking about applying the principal over several decades or centuries. You can't control the outcome that far out.

When Rob says he loves a story line, it's an absolute to go out and buy it. I have story lines from very near the start of Comics Explained that I still re-read thanks to Rob!
Avengers twilight was in the full story Playlist and the length of the video meant that I caught up with this story really easily. I absolutely loved this little mini story. Great videos, I loved the ending in vallhalla too haha.

Yeah, everything about this series was so awesome. Really really good. And to here Zadarsky talk about it he just brushed it off as an idea he had he wanted to do sometime. Like come on dude this one was legendary. Chef's kiss!!
This feels like the kind of story telling Ultimate marvel had the first decade. Actual build up, consequences, and pay offs to super hero stories.
Wow that was good...I loved how vile and nasty skull looked under the mask...this is one of those stories where you want more but you don't want them to ruin it. Thanks Rob 😊
When I was a kid I had a comic where spider man fought the hulk in the venom suit. And it was implied that the hulk drowned in that story. It was so long ago and I didn’t take very good care of it I wish I could find it and understand it more. I was like 7 years old. I could be off historically of the details but that’s what it looked like.

The Hulk evolving gills to breathe underwater was always a bad idea. In every other instance, Hulk os depicted as just being able to hold his breath for long periods of time. I have no problem with not using the gills this time.

I thought in one issue his lungs filled with a fluid he can use to breathe and either way his healing factor is so strong drowning is more an inconvenience

I think it’s probable the Hulk only adapts when he wants to. Whatever torture that Banner and Hulk had to endure under red skull was probably bad enough to get Banner and Hulk to agree that it’s time to let go of the anger and pass away with thor’s help

i hate everything about the james stark character, and the cop out that mommy hugging him makes him suddenly realize he's doing wrong almost made me want to throw up. not every bad guy needs to be redeemed, and considering how much worse he's made things in this timeline is insane anyone is going to forgive him.

I'm a little put off at how easily Skull was duped into monologuing himself to defeat. This is a trope we see all too often in comics. Another trope is a bloodlusted hero or villain suddenly gaining a moment of lucidity and asking the opponent to put a permanent stop to them (see: Jean Grey). So, what started out as a great (and timely) story, devolved into a trope-tastic ending.
I like to think Tony in the Mcu got to Valhalla too

I gotta be that guy for a minute, Tony is the one requesting nonalcoholic drinks, not Bruce. I only point it out because I was thinking as I read it, "Great, so he's gonna relapse since all you do is party in Valhalla"
This story is evidence that comics are still good. Anyone that tells you that comics aren't the same anymore is someone that chooses not to read them and doesn't know what they're talking about. Awsome mini series 🙌

I don't know how he'd fair in valhalla seeing as all they do is drink and celebrate, is there any point in him saying no? Plus seeing as he's dead whatever his problem was that led him to drink during his life is surely gone in death.
