Pin locks are an absolute must for riding IMO. Don’t know how many times I got caught out in a storm / riding in cold / foggy weather etc and never have to worry about not being able to see. My spare helmet without one fogs up very badly in many situations that you’d never expect.
I'm probably the only person who still just cracks my visor for a bit then close it once cleared. I'm not sure if I'm proud or just dumb for not doing this! Lol

No. The first thing you do is, get an Uber to the mall, even if you have a car or bike, take an Uber. Then go to a clothing store in the mall and pay an employee to bring you a full outfit, underwear socks and shoes included. Even a new hat if you wear one. Then you want to go to the washroom and get completely naked and throw your clothes in the garbage. Then go to a DIFFERENT STALL and text the employee to bring you the clothes you bought. You then get dressed and go outside to install the pinlock. But even after taking all these steps, there will still be a fucking dog hair between the pinlock and visor.
The arrows are meant to point to the center, not the outside, when installing. And should only not point that way if adjustment was necessary for the fit
not sure if this is a rumor or not but I was always told to carefully wipe the pinlock in only One direction, which is down, down, down. when I wiped it left to right and right to left on my old visor it felt more.. milky and fogged up, but I really just can't tell if that was from the visor or from the wiping technique.
I mean… I don’t care what anybody says, you made that look much less like a “chore,” by easily surpassing mundane hurtles… damn near hit me in the therapeutic bone… if I was Mr. beast I would be buying helmets with that anti fog shield for errbody!!
No. Clean the visor and pin lock really well, then reinstall. Once it’s installed, turn the adjusting screws on each side until you get a good seal along the entire visor. You can tell if the pin lock seal isn’t touching the visor by pushing down a little all along the seam. You’ll know when you hit a spot that isn’t touching. That seal not being made is what is causing the pin lock to fog between it and the visor. They work by trapping air in between, and using it as insulation.
Once my pinlock was that old, it was not sealed properly and always fell down. I bought a new one with a fresh seal, and it is worth it (it's not that expensive here). Edit: I think I didn't answer your question. Everything can be fogged up with your breath; it's just that pinlock didn't fog up that easily in cold temperatures like snow or rain. I believe the pinlock has some hydrophobic coating on both sides, so maybe you didn't clean your visor correctly and left the pinlock with bare plastic. In that case, you should replace your pinlock.
@@MRworldEtIkA they don’t work because they’re coated. They were by trapping air in between the pin lock and the visor. You can adjust it to seal off by turning the adjustment screws.
Wrong! You don’t wipe the inside of the pin lock visor with anything else then clean warm water!!!! Otherwise It makes it foggy and is basically for the trash can!
Would you recommend a motorcycle to a 16 year old teenager instead of a car. I've always wanted a motorcycle but my mom keeps telling me that they have enough storage and that they are dangerous. What do I do 😭
If it's seal completely (as it should) then it wouldn't get dirty, so no need to remove and clean. Just wipe the outside of the visor and the pinlock is enough.
It’s a secondary visor that clips into pinlock ready visors. It creates airspace between it and the visor, insulating it, so it doesn’t fog. It’s the same thing insulated glass in your house windows does.
Bought a helmet woth pinlock and i can say it works terrible since j ware glasses and and those also fogg up hahaha shit i gotta move countries if u wanna buy pinlock and u ware glasses ur out of luck

I got one riding after in the cold for the first time and it blew my mind 😂😂 u work at cycle gear ?

I just put my pin lock on my Shoei… there seems to be a slight glare.?
You forgot the last step: turning the screw again to creat a propper seal.
And never remove those pinlocks thinking you’ll get more air, all you get is a loud whistle sound, ask me how i know 😂

If the pin lock isn’t sealed all the way around, it will fog, still. You have to adjust the screws on the pins to get it to seal properly.
I literally watched this on accident like 5 mins before I was about to put it on my helmet😂
I bought a pinlock last week and have been waiting for this video.
Hugely appreciative of this. Your guide saved my ass before a 1600km 2-day ride. The official guide is nowhere near as good.

I got a new scorpion RF 420, I haven’t had to use a pin lock plus you can’t fit a pin lock to them. Scorpions are pretty good at not fogging
Hey @adobomoto when are you posting the results for the exo?
Oh THAT'S how you bend that! I've been using one hand and my toes to do this 😂

Now where can I find one of these for my glasses
thanks for sharing
So the extra layer inside your visor stops humidity from getting on your visor? It doesn't just cling to the inside layer instead?
You could just rub soap on the inside then polish it off. Zero fogging for most of a winter then repeat.
UK answers. We have the weather to test.

Looks like you flattened your visor a little too much there? I know it's flexible but I've never seen one stay straight like that
No explanation on the excentric pins and how to adjust properly?
Will they do this for you at cycle gear?
Yes if you bought a helmet from them.
No one realized he cleaned the visor with fuel?!?!
How you clean the inside later when it's longer install... I instant scratch my Pinlock 2 weeks later 😬 and just use a microfaser
I do have a scorpion exo 491 , will this work?
If there's one thing i hate about this thing, it would be the fact that using this in the summer would shrinks the Pin Lock and stays like that
How long does the anti fog last? And how often do i need to replace these?
A pin lock came with my Agv K6 but it came blurry straight out the plastic. Is it supposed to be like that

Does that visor only work for that helmet or???
There’s different pinlock visors for different helmets, I’m not sure if there’s one for every helmet but there’s many for the popular helmets.
