10:45 if a cop ever tells you to stop recording, that is a sure sign you absolutely should continue recording
True
Facts because its a first amendment right to keep recording no matter what. They cant tell you to stop recording unless its private property, which if its not they're probably trying to do something dirty
You are correct. But, if you know you're guilty, do you want to piss off the cop who could give you a warning instead of a ticket? Or who could arrest you?
@@bjb7587All depends. I do agree its better to discreetly record them because they get pissy when you know your rights
Yeah - if a cop tells you to stop recording, they have already committed a crime. And its likely they are about to commit an even bigger crime.
People need to realise that NO police officer can stop let alone demand that you or anybody else stops filming !! Stand up for your rights !
Absolutely! Everything was a normal stop until little tough man cop had to exert his power. What a joke.
Totally with you man but let's face it most of us when it comes to our bikes ain't always fully "legit" with exhausts lights, helmet visors etc so sometimes it's best just to go along with them and let them leave. Otherwise of you start shouting about rights to film they could just decide to take the right to check the bike over and do you for every single thing they can find... That's speaking from experience btw
Not true. Photo anyone in France you'll be arrested. If you photo a cop in France , Germany or UK YOULL BE IN TROUBLE.
*Check your state laws.*
@@hulkhatepunybanner The U.S. constitution and the Bill of Rights applies everywhere all the time. The 1st Amendment enumerates Freedom of the Press. The supreme court has ruled that anyone who can disseminate information in the public interest is a journalist. The same laws that allow government to film you works the other way.
Watching these videos makes me so glad that I am a solo biker.
Total amateur hour here today
The IQ of a group ride is the lowest IQ of its members divided by the number of of its members.
@@overeasy4175id think you rarely ride a motorcycle if you never crashed in 25 years if you think your bike can gap me on the freeway.
@@EmoKenNah. I been riding almost 20 years, about 100k miles. All touring bikes. No accidents. No tickets. But I don't ride like the guys at fault in this video, not the ones cut off by drivers.
I agree that most of the rider problems here are the result of either carelessness or ignorance of basic riding techniques. Three most common causes of accidents
-No training
-Speeding
-Riding while impaired
They make me glad I can actually ride well, and don’t film myself doing it … 😂
7:18
He needs a ticket for obstruction. What makes them think they have the right to block traffic so they can ignore the stop?
😂😂
Why? Because the car had to wait less than 2 minutes for everyone to get through? 😂
@@NoFrictionZone
Then why couldn't the bikers wait? By your own statement, it would be nothing for them to wait.
@@icecold9511 they were already going through the intersection when the car got there, guy was already blocking traffic. I ride solo, and I'm not a fan of group rides, but he didn't do anything wrong.
@@NoFrictionZoneHe turned wide and drove into the oncoming lane, and traffic. Pretty sure that is wrong.
04:41
He wasnt rear ended.
That is a DCT Afrika Twin...I think he wanted to rev the bike in neutral and the bike was in gear/drive...so he went flying.
You can see that the bike starts moving before the rider does anything. But as he is holding onto the throttle already, and the bike moves away from him, he just grabs a handful of throttle, which further escalates the situation.
escalate? u acting like it was fight n he escalated the fight
@@olivia_moto4993 escalate doesn't mean it's fight, the rider accidentally pull on his throttle, thus further escalating the damage
Это абсолютно новый мотоцикл, человек его только купил, ехал на нем из салона и делал обзор на этот мотоцикл. Но в пробке что то пошло не так...Страховки даже не было, это печаль конечно.
Yeah clearly the bike was in 1/D. rider didnt notice that.
0:15 you can see that tire is turned and the intention of the driver as they VERY slowly start to change lanes. This was the fault of the guy on the bike for not paying attention.
If you can’t notice things like that you really shouldn’t be lane splitting.
Yeah. When I ride in Cali, I only split lanes in stopped traffic. It just ain't worth it otherwise.
@@bjb7587 as you do it more you get to recognize more indicators.
Any gap big enough for a car is a thing people may turn into without notice or signals or even looking.
You can notice the head of a driver start to look around as they think of turning. This will happen before they actually start to change lanes. You can see this from a ways off. Sometimes you see it in a mirror. Often you can see it through their rear window.
You can usually notice the tires of the car turn before the car makes it much of anywhere. This was visible in this clip.
Another is placement. A car close to the lane dividing line is more likely to be positioning themselves to make that lane change.
I’ve been riding a long time and spent years lane splitting in rush out traffic in major metropolitan areas. Never an accident. Constant lane splitting.
It’s your job to keep yourself alive. It takes work and it’s a skill that can grow and a skill that can dull.
Yeah, it was pretty obvious but also looked like he tried to swerve around the car rather than stop.. Aside from my planned path, I look at their tires while splitting. They always go the way the tires are pointing.
@@bjb7587 I can understand that. I look at their tires while splitting and don't do it at speed. Never collided with anyone changing into my lane. Fortunately that doesn't happen all that often where I'm at.
@@DragonRiderProductions I read somewhere that the tires turn at twice the speed of the vehicle.
I do not remember anything I learned in geometry. And this is the first time I've needed it, so no big loss.
4:40 guy ride Honda with DCT, making bike review. And decided to rev the bike to let him pass. But forgot switch to Neutral. He broke his leg.
So he wasn’t hit from behind? lol
i was thinking the same, that didnt look like a rearend crash and why would the bikes engine rev up like that lol
yeah, but u can see his left hand not holding the clutch tho.
@@crusherrr1753 No clutch on those, just a rear-wheel brake on the left handlebar. He's in D on the dashboard and you can hear him rev the engine just as it launches, look in the mirrors too there's just stopped cars all around him
@@anto687 yeah i heard the engine and he had no visual impact on his rear after he fell. But i didnt know that no clutch things for those bikes
01:08
The kid with the turquoise backpack is the coolest person, that I've seen in a while!
4:50 I dont think he was hit from behind. You cant see anyone in his mirror.
What I suspect happened, is he rides a DCT and accidentally twist his throttle. Usually experienced riders are used that they can blip the throttle as long as they are in neutral. If you do that with DCT you will be torpedoed forward. The jolt probably made him want to hang on, which further exacerbates the problem.
You can also hear the bike reving up.
I don't think he was rear ended either. He was surrounded by other cars
the people around him are saying "Why did you do it? Why did you fuck up our cars? You were stopped and still, why did you start moving?".
think so too
Everything is exactly like this, I’m telling you as a Russian.
Accidentally he took off from his place.
yes, i saw the original, he just got a brand new africa twin DCT, and totaly forgot he has an automatic, and twisted the gas....
1st Clip RAF REV's RAVEN riding with his eyes closed. Car is indicating, wheels are turned and has tinted windows to the rear. What happens next is obvious to the alert rider! What is wrong with slowing down and letting the driver make his mistake? Having an accident ALWAYS results in reaching your destination more slowly.
By the way: Thank you for putting this together and, thanks to all the persons who submitted their footage, so that the rest of us can learn!
Laugh is more like it. Lol
I second that. Great work!
Adventures of Kenny and Debbie: that's why you're taught to ride in a staggered formation instead of side by side.
You're supposed to go SLOW when lane splitting to avoid precisely this 0:14
I don't even think he was fast. He had 5 times more time/distance than required to stop/avoid the crash.
He was going slow...
He should've been going slower. In CA the law states that when lane splitting you can not go 10mph the current speed of traffic. Based off the video he was doing about 20mph while traffic was doing less than 10mph
@@obiwankenobi5769 Thanks Karen.
@@obiwankenobi5769so you said to have not more than 10mph over the cars, and cars are a bit less than < 10mph according to you, while you suspect rider was 20mhp according to you... so in your mind he might have disobeyed the regulation by 0-3 mph. That would for sure made the difference for the situation
The first two cops on the end clip seemed quite reasonable, the third cop was being a smart arse !
Never turn off your camera when dealing with cops
"You can turn that off now." Yeah, and you can pound sand, Officer Tyrant. I am generally a big supporter of law enforcement officers because the vast majority are good guys. But as with all walks of life, there are the few that have to fuck it up for the rest. Only a shady, dishonest officer will tell you to quit filming. They are the ones who need filmed the most.

4:03 when you ride it’s YOUR job to be as visible as possible. If that driver looks in their mirrors they can’t see you. If they look over you don’t look like a car and they can’t see much in that passenger window.
If you’re adjacent to a car be clearly visible and a little in front of them. The goal is for it to take ZERO effort for them to see you.
Bright colors. Reflective things for night time. Ride in places where you can be readily seen with minimal effort. Follow a path that’s easy to anticipate.
when you operate a motor vehicle its your job to check blind spots. its not only on the biker,
.
@@nightcrawler01 if you want to leave your life in the hands of others … you go right ahead. You won’t last long on a bike.
When you’re on the way to the hospital (if you’re lucky) at least you’ll be able to blame someone else though!
Personally, I’d rather ride defensively. I assume no one is paying attention and that people can’t see me. I don’t ride in blind spots. I assume people will change lanes without signaling. I assume people will change lanes a second time if they’ve changed lanes once and another lane exists. These are good habits. And, I don’t blame others for things I could have prevented myself.
I also been riding for about 15 years and never been down. This includes time commuting into a major metropolitan city while lane splitting (all four seasons, rain or shine) and riding on wonderful Northern California canyon roads at a very good pace on a supersport bike.

Harley Davidson...
Not known for their riding expertise, but in fairness there are a few good ones.
Looked like some beginners in the group.
Right from the get-go the rider displays a severe lack of forward scoping, it was so obvious that the car was coming across his bow. "Are you kidding me" he says as he creates his own demise.
Good job, saving that sheep and I love you guys
@1:20 - First successful use of a motorcycle snare EVER! 😅😅 Debbie and Kenny need to learn when riding together like that in a turn, the rider on the outside needs to fall back a bit give the rider on the inside enough room to make the turn. It doesn't pin the inside rider between the other rider and the shoulder where dangerous thingsbcoul be lurking.
Outside rider had the lead going in. Inside rider throttled into a situation neither his bike nor his skills could handle. It's wrong to fault the outside rider.
@@charlesbynum ONE them should have fallen back. You never do a turn side by side like they tried for this very reason. But in the real world, the outside rider falls back, then closes the gap as you come out of the turn.
In the real world, that bagger dude needs to learn how to ride. He sure knew how to roll though, so I'm thinking maybe this is not his first crash. @@knightwinggl1800
4:40 In this video there is a Russian guy. This guy just bought a new Africa Twin with DCT. This was his first review. But he forgot that he was riding a motorcycle with an automatic transmission, and vroomed-vroomed with the throttle while stuck in a traffic jam.
4:52 that wasn't a car hitting him from behind... that bike has an automatic transmission. The rider launched the bike into the traffic because he was used to being able to rev the bike while stopped lol
I've been a ridder since 1976 and don't like watching videos like this. But I do as it's a constant reminder of how vulnerable we are 😢 stay safe all and NEVER trust anyone when you're riding
5:38 I feel robbed of 10 seconds of my life for watching that clip.....
I completely agree
First thing you should ask to a cop asking you to stop recording is "why?" he will have to be very careful about his answer and it will be recorded even if he himself tries to shut the camera by force. If you have any aggressive action after you asked him "why" then you should check if you can do something legal against the cop. Of course cops hate being recorded, cause that makes them accountable. Just think that cops using extreme force or abusing authority get almost no real punishment even when being recorded, imagine how will they lie about the incident if they are not recorded. The only way to win a feud against a cop is by having him on tape, theres no other way, cause cops protect cops, but cops cant protect themselves of cameras.
You could ask them, "Is that a lawful order?" I think that would be a reasonable question.
nice video

Guy at the last clip did NOT have to turn off his camera, and the demand to do so was a violation of his rights.
Yeah but in a situation like that when you know you have been speeding better to keep them as sweet as possible. Simple stuff.
GODDAMN GRASS CLIBBINS, HADDA LAYER DOWNN HOSS
0:30 Love how he blames the other driver.
If you have this sort of accident, you were going to fast.
Splitting lanes is relatively safe, so long as you keep your eyes open and you go faster than 5 MPH over the other traffic speed.
Keep in mind, 2 things. Car drivers will not be expecting you to be there. Always be ready to avoid cars changing lanes.
Also, many drivers don't understand why splitting lanes is sometimes required. You may encounter road rage.
0:50 This is what happens when you are going at a safe speed. He was able to avoid this accident with ease.
Lane splitting challenges your low speed skills. If you don't have any, then you blame the other guy. Situational awareness IS imperative but it's not a substitute for knowing how to ride.
yeah might as well no need to ride if u cant lane split safely..regardless even if we are slow we still get blamed if someone hits us..not the cars who did not check their mirrors / gave signals...

I was actually the one recording, but you're right that rider had plenty time to avoid crashing... His mistake IMO was looking back. 4:18 good to know that you have been working car for the past STOP
This is why you don’t lane split. Cars are expecting you to lane split, I feel like it should be illegal everywhere
7:50 i assume is the grooves in the road causing that to happen?? Semi new rider whos never experienced that 😅
The grooves are clearly the immediate reason, but the underlying problem is probably improper balance or alignment.
The highway was much smoother before the crew "fix" it, she was recently tuned to specs though.
@@thejoker_2127 They're surely not going to keep the road like that, are they?
As far as the bike is concerned. My bike wouldn't wobble on these grooves, but then I ride a Sport Tourer. And sportier bikes are usually less wobbly than cruisers. So maybe there is nothing the matter, but please keep checking and stay safe. Wouldn't be the first time a bike gets made worse by a garage. Humans make mistakes.
