It's only need 2 days or or 1 days
I depends on how much time it takes to dry because In India Summers are really hot so it took only 1 day in summer but while winters and monsoon it can take about 1 week to dry
Ingredients:
1. Waste papers (about 7 to 10)
2. Water (500 mililiters, Maybe😅)
3. Wheat flour (1 cup)
4. Salt (1 Teaspoon)

What flour we have to use
Wheat flour or All purpose flour

very interesting recipe. the inaccuracy of the flour quantity is not really a problem - water content and air humidity in different location, make accuracy in this case really hard.
the problem I have with this vid, is the little cracks on the lip of the bowl. there's also a big one - not sure if it's a crack, a mark from a fold in the plastic, a slip in the pulp when it was still wet... and more importantly: is it something that can be avoided? or should it be corrected afterwards? or nothing to do about it, but plan it into the design 🤷♂
If it gets any cracks you can fix it by applying paper pulp on cracked area

I like your method , could you use pva glue in the mix ?
You can use mixture of PVA glue and water ( 2-3 table spoon glue + 100ml water ) instead of flour so it would dry quickly :) thank you !

Yes , sure 😃 thank you
You'll still need a binder. Pva glue or white glue is not enough. You can use maida or all purpose flour or cornflour/starch or some sort of binder powder like putty or spackling powder or paste.
You can also add strength by using fibres of some kind. Tease apart some textile off-cuts (from a clothing alteration maybe) and mix the fibres into the binding mixture.
Might try this technique to make the base of a mask shaped on a balloon.

Hello Ariba! I’ve tried to make this for school project, and it helps! But I do have questions, When I try to dry it under the sun, on the first and second day, it’s alrigt. But on the day 3, my bowl started to give an unpleasent smell, do you might know why it can be like that? Thank you, it helps a lot!
Let it dry completely after sometime smell will fade away or you can apply a coat of paint or clear varnish after it's dry completely.

You can use this bowl for storing fruits it it or any dry snacks as it's not waterproof. thank you!!

This is amazing! Thank you! Would it be okay if we use oil instead of plastic? (To make this process more eco-friendly) I think plastic is used only to make it not paste itsef on the container, isn't it?😁
Yes you can use oil but it would better if you use you'll use plastic sheet ( you can use reuse waste packets or polythene bags too ) because sometimes it stuck on container when you've use oil on it !! thank you 🥰

You can use thin cotton fabric instead of plastic sheet

No , it won't break easily :)
If you want it to be waterproof, coat it with mod podge hard coat glue.
It's also supposed to be non-toxic, so it's possible it could be food safe. But do your own thorough research on that.
Yes i was thinking POT glue and it works,really it's used in pasting leather but also perfect for keeping food in paper mashe bowl.,,🤣🤣🤣😂

No, you can't use talcum powder instead of flour, if you don't want to use flour you can use glue . thank you ! 🥰

This bowl is not waterproof if you put it in water It would break easyily ! Instead of washing you can simply wipe it with tissue or cotton cloth.

You can paint this paper bowl to use as a centre piece on your dining table and also you can use them to Store fruits and vegetables if you make them bigger in size and shape :)

instead of wheat flour you can use 3 table spoon glue with 6 table spoon water and you can skip adding salt .

I am not sure but I think 4-5 spoon glue for small bowl because it depends upon how big your bowl is and how much paper you have used.
Will this dissolve in water? I want to make this to use for cremation ashes to put into the bowl and the bowl into the sea, so need it to be safe for the sea and desolve quickly in the water
