This young man is such an inspiration. The support from those who love him is equally inspiring. He really is a walking miracle. Does anyone have an update on Stefan please? And his girlfriend! Thank you.
Talking about ur experience with others is great therapy!!! I was in a car accident receiving a brain injury was in a coma for 11 days life after is so different. I'm so proud of u!!!
It’s awesome to see that Stefan is progressing and learning daily. My son experienced a TBI at the age of 24 and was in a coma for 13 days. I can relate to the toddler then teenager and now young adult. The human body is an amazing tool. The days are longer without exhausting. He is back at school and a new vocation. I wish Stefan all the best and a full recovery. A strong mind and body I wish you well 🙏🏽
You did incredible recovery. I'm so proud of you and giving hope to us. My boyfriend and I was biking by the water in Dunedin, New Zealand for vacation at February 11th,2017 then one camping van was kicked him off the bike and he got DAI brain injury. He has been in the coma for 1 week and other 2 weeks in Dunedin hospital before flew back to Canada for his rehabilitation treatment. Now after 4 months, he is always be frustrating and he is still struggling to walk and talk everyday. He's see double if he is open 2 eyes in the same time. ..
So inspiring! His recover was just amazing! Our brains do work in mysterious ways... He can still remember some words of foreign laguages, his ability in sports its still there... Just the most simple things are the harder and that he has to learn. On my bike accidente i was only on a coma for 4 days. But i woke up and i could only mumble. Had a lot of broken bones and my memory was affected.Long therm and short term too. I didnt know the name of certain things in my mother language and i would know in another language. I did some speach therapy so i speak normaly now. But because i've always spoken 5 languages, i sometimes get confused and mix in some words of the wrong language. I cant play the guitar anymore, and i refused to learn cuz it frustrated me. Seing people like Stephan is trully meaningful and makes us appreciate everything more tbh... He's a hero. And his gf is an amazing girl!
Oooh thank you! That means a lot to me. I have many problems, as my kid has Aspergers and i too have a psychiatric illness, but my accident showed me we can do anything. I admit i cried a lot and i was miserable thinking i wouldnt be able to talk again, and i couldnt say exactly what i wanted to say, i was tired of all the times i had to go to change the bandages on my knees (from the burns)., everything seemed unmbearable. But all that just made me stronger! :D
I had a brain tumor where my incision is in the same place as Stephan's. I also have 4 metal plates and screws in my skull and executive functionality issues. Learning to walk and be able to balance and even hit a balloon back and forth with someone were all difficulties and memory problems.
Some people don’t believe in continually wearing protection as it’s takes away the feeling of the freedom -the wind in the hair- If he were my kid, I’d be on his case about it ....but as an adult you can’t force him to do anything he doesn’t want to do. Two of My kids (adults) work outside and I have a hard time dealing with the fact that they don’t wear sunblock.
He is a true miracle!!!! God Bless him!!!! He has the best attitude!!! AWESOME GUY. I understand why she stuck by him. So great u 2 are still together!!!
the friend did the right this to record the emergency staff ... the fsmily sure would want to know how all goes on..no for searching errors...but to know
“Mental age” isn’t anything like as simple as you make out. His “poor girlfriend” made it very clear that she always had a choice and chose to stay with him. I never saw any hint that she was “pretending”. Why would she? You appear to be projecting your own prejudices and jealousies onto this couple. It’s creepy.
I think the fact that he was so brilliant and so multi talented (and still young) before the accident is the reason for his miraculous recovery.

My friend suffered a brain injury 🥺 I hope and pray she recovers like this young man.
AMAZING ...MY HUSBAND WAS HIT BY A CAR AND WILL LIVE WITH TBI...LONG ROAD AHEAD BUT HES MAKINKG GREAT PROGRESS..

Unbeleivable recovery. Truly magical. What a sweetie.
What a sweet guy! His girlfriend, dad and his other friends are pretty cool, too. I’m glad for all of them.
11:55 I dont understand why he does not wear helmets?

What a wonderful girlfriend he has! What a great spirit he has!
I'm surprised he does not wear a helmet on the unicycle!
My friend had a similar injury and has to wear a scrum cap for most sports.

God Bless Him for not giving up and God Bless His Lady Friend for standing by him and not abandoning him... Definitely against the odds!!

He has a mental age of about 7 or 8 by my estimation. His poor girlfriend. You can tell she's pretending, especially at 22:57.
We are talking about yourself for sure.
