@@JakeAlexander. I got it on ebay from a liquidation for ~$600, so I'd have to sell it.
It also looks like my pc (i7 4th, 16gb ram) is not able to work on such large meshes well. I should probably spend the money I would have from the einstar vega into upgrading my pc.

So whats interesting is I had previously emailed Shining3D about the Einstar about the power brick, because I don't have a garage or access to an outlet near my car and I wanted to scan the side of my car for side skirts/etc. I was thinking about buying an FJ cruiser for a daily which has a 115v power outlet (capable of producing 400w) and had asked if I could plug into that to scan. It actually turns out that the power brick is just a switch adapter, which takes 100-240v down to 12v 5A and 60W. So you could actually buy a cigarette lighter power inverter, plug it into the running car you want to scan, and scan that way. Obviously you'd need to still have a laptop but that way it would technically be "mobile". Pretty interesting work around for those who might not have a garage or wants to do mobile scanning.

Or, are you trying to make parts for your car with a 3D printer? If you are printing them, I would like to see how you post process the scans to make a 3D compatible model?
